We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship game. The place was not crowded. There was a bank of TVs, yet not one had the game on. We had to ask several times if they would put the basketball game on. The response we got was, we had to wait until the current game on the TV was over. So, we missed the beginning of the game. I'm not usually BWW type of person but it was late, I was hungry and they had a BOGO special. I purchased 10 wing and got 10 for free, not bad for a Tuesday night. When I arrived it was a sign that stated reservations only. I let the person at the take-out counter know i didn't have a reservation and she was so kind to let us dine-in anyway. I didn't know what to expect but it wasn't crowded maybe because of all the Covid stuff still going on. They had signs all around to show they were practicing social distancing. This review is not because of food quality. The Cheese Curd Burger was good, and the fries were good, but they gave me a portion of fries that was less than a small fry at McDonald's. To his credit, when I mentioned it to the server, he went and got me some more fries. But the fact that all of the orders had very few fries points to the fact that they kind of skimp on the fries! He returned with our waters and my friend asked for another "minute or two to look since we got caught up chatting." I don't think our server returned for at least 15 minutes but I did see him moving around the restaurant although he only had our table in the bar area and one other table in the restaurant (which was unusually empty that night). We finally ordered and that was that. He seemed to disappear again and my friend said she saw him hanging out by the to-go counter with some coworkers so we didn't get a second round of drinks. A runner brought the food over and it was great but I just asked for my ranch dressing for my salad. The runner left and returned with the dressing, apologized and said if we needed anything else to tell our server. No problem. Thank goodness I asked that runner for dressing because we never saw our server again until another friend came to join us late. She ended up asking the bartender for our server and he pointed him out over by the to-go counter again. She then ended up going over there and asking him if he could come and check on us and she would like to order a drink too. She rejoined us and he then came back over to us so we all could order a second round. The next time we would see him would be when I would wave him over from near the host stand to ask for our check. I was so disappointed with having to chase down my server on an extremely slow night and quite honestly we would've stayed longer and had more drinks and appetizers but were so shocked by the lack of a server, essentially that it would have just taken too long. How on earth do you only have 4 high chairs when the community has so many toddlers/babies? This is insane! I do favor the sauces with more spice and heat then the mild or sweet ones. This particular buffalo wild wings serves the usual. The staff is helpful and friendly.
