The last few months of my rental, my unit was COVERED in mice droppings and urine, tons of moths, etc. Upon clean out, there were several dead mice in my unit and a lot of my belongings were destroyed by the smell and nesting from mice. There was also a dead mouse in a box once I was unpacking in my new home. Just beware if you're storing clothing/cloth furniture/etc.

I tried to call a bunch of times over the next couple days and voice mail just said "the subscribers voicemail is full, good bye" and hang up. It wasn't until Tuesday that the voicemail message changed and there was a actual recording that included a number to text message. So I did and got a person that was hell to deal with. Long story short. THEY ARE TAKING ME FOR A RIDE FOR ANOTHER MONTH WHEN THE UNIT WAS CLEANED OUT BEFORE END OF MONTH BECAUSE THEY MAKE IT SO THEY ARE UNREACHABLE TO GIVE NOTICE, Then tell you oh well you signed a contract. I'm not evan late yet and she claimed "well I'm a bitch" her words and she sending me to collections when I'm not evan late yet according to the same contract she's trying to hold me too. I tried to give notice before end of month and couldn't because of the way the have it set up. To the new owners. It's a storage business! That means your in the business of trying to keep customers coming back and word of mouth to keep a float. That means you have to treat people with respect, not like their criminals coming pick up the car you towed and enjoy sticking it too. The units and grounds are emaculate, and facility is located right off the highway so its easily accessible. I wouldnt recommend any place else other than My Place Storage. Prices are unbeatable, service is excellent, and they really went beyond my expectations. Dead mice everywhere, a hole in the ceiling, poop everywhere. We had to throw out our couch, dining room chairs, kids clothes, toys, our clothes, snowboard gear. And so much more. It was disgusting. No one here cares and we have "insurance" which no one will get back to me about. The storage manager Nathen won't return information being requested from the insurance company. I am mind blown they are allowed to have a place running like this. They are taking no steps for rodent control, no empathy to damage of thousands of property damage. I'm so mad at myself for picking this place. Here is an email from Nathen the manager at the unit stating they would reimburse one month rent if I sign an agreement not to make my insurance claim. Seems very shady that they don't want the insurance company to know that they have this issue because they probably won't cover them any longer

So for over 24 hours they were running an auction on a unit that wasn't supposed to be up for auction at all. This is a gross oversight on management. I wasted several hours researching items within the auction and my credit card was actually already charged so now I have to monitor my account for 3 days while my money is tied up in limbo.
