They took care of all the issues in a timely manner and at a cost much better than a dealership. They identified and resolved several minor things but never tried to "upsell" services I didn't really need. I'll definitely trust Eurwerks to keep my car running for several more years!

Customer service is nonexistent at this shop. They take your car for a scheduled drop-off but give…read moreno guarantees on when they'll start or finish the work. Communication is poor, leaving you feeling like you must hound them for updates. My car was with them for 5 business days, during which they only worked on it for 3 to 4 hours and failed to fully repair it. Scheduling an appointment feels pointless. I booked a diagnostic test for my main and auxiliary batteries 3 days ahead of a Thursday appointment. I confirmed the appointment the day before. When I dropped it off Thursday morning, I was assured I'd receive an update "maybe after lunch time." By the end of the day, I received no update from them and when I stopped by the shop, I could see that my vehicle had been untouched. I reiterated my need for the car by Monday, and they said they'd try to look into it the next day. On Friday, I sent a polite reminder and received a curt response saying they prioritize repairs as they arrive. It became clear that appointments are just window dressing. They finally completed the battery replacement on Friday but then found what they believed was an issue causing a battery drain, requiring more diagnostics. A delay in identifying that problem extended my car's time with them. By end of day the following Monday, I had heard nothing from them. On Tuesday, I asked for an update and was promised to be provided a status update before end of day, but they failed to provide any kind of update. On Wednesday, I pressed for an update again, reminding them of the delays. They finally had a tech spend a couple more hours doing diagnostics but still couldn't pinpoint the issue and stated they would need more time (and money) to troubleshoot. After 5 days and minimal progress, I decided to retrieve my vehicle. A nearby Mercedes dealership charged me for diagnostics and found NO issues! Given my experience, I do not trust this shop for future work. They've lost my business and have shown a troubling lack of efficiency and a customer centric focus. From previous reviews, I've noticed that the shop's ownership likes to debate negative reviews (and they get the last word). I've provided all the facts accurately and if Yelp allowed more space for reviews, I'd give you even more details. For potential customers: be wary. They treat new customers poorly, break promises and take too long to perform basic maintenance. Save yourself the hassle--go elsewhere.

But when I needed some serious car help, these guys stepped up big time. I was spoiled growing up to have a father who doubled as my mechanic, and so it was hard to trust someone else with my baby. I'd had the same car since I was 17, and I wanted to keep her around as long as possible. They guys here helped me to do just that. They are honest, up front, and do not BS you about your vehicle. You many not always like what they say, but they aren't crooks. They will tell you exactly what you need done and what they think you should do. They are going to be a bit more expensive than those one-hour-oil-change places but you won't have any issues or complaints after they take care of your car. It's a smaller shop so keep that in mind when planning to drop your ride off here: it will take a little more time but again, you can't beat the results. I can honestly say I wouldn't trust anyone else in Nashville with my car. And if they couldn't fix a problem, they could refer you to someone who could. That happened when I needed a muffler, and they referred me to a fantastic local guy at Batey who did an amazing job. Thanks to them, I was able to keep my older car running for years before needing to get another one. And they are still kind to me anytime I come by for gas. They are good to you and will remember you and help you if you give them the respect they deserve for their hard work and honesty. I would recommend them to anyone who wants not only excellent customer service but good, old fashioned trustworthy service. No one else will put their hands on my car so long as I live here.

In Nashville on Labor Day weekend. Our vehicle wouldn't start on Sunday morning. Read through…read moredozens of reviews and settled on Carl Wood's Garage. Got a tow to Carl's. Spoke to Frank on Tuesday and he stated he would do his best to identify the problem and get back to me. Later that day he called and gave me a quote for a new starter and the labor required to do the job. A pretty intense job for our make and model. I gave the go ahead. Frank was able to work us in and he had the vehicle ready by Thursday. We settled up by phone. Total cost was cheaper than the quote. A relative picked up the vehicle the next day due to us being out of town. He stated thst the garage was the cleanest garage he had been it. Outstanding service! If you need a trustworthy, honest, garage, check out Carl Wood's Garage!!

I don't leave negative reviews, but my experience with Carl Woods Garage was disappointing enough…read morethat I felt compelled to share it. After my car wouldn't start, I had it evaluated at another shop, where I was told the starter and head gasket were problematic. Because they couldn't perform engine-related repairs, I had my vehicle towed to Carl Woods Garage for further evaluation. When Frank called me Monday morning, his attitude was noticeably dismissive from the beginning. He explained that they would need to perform their own diagnostic rather than rely on another shop's findings, which I completely understood and agreed to. At no point was I informed of the diagnostic fee or that the diagnostic might be unable to proceed without first paying for a significant repair. Later that day, Frank called to tell me the starter needed replacing and that I would have to pay over $500 for the repair before they could continue evaluating the vehicle. Given that another shop had already raised concerns about a potentially serious engine issue, I was understandably hesitant to spend that money without knowing whether the car might need repairs exceeding its value. When I asked whether they had identified any other issues during their initial evaluation, Frank repeatedly dismissed my questions and responded with condescending analogies rather than providing straightforward answers. I completely understand that certain problems cannot be diagnosed without a running engine, but I don't think it's unreasonable to want clarification about what was inspected before committing to an expensive repair. After initially agreeing to the starter replacement, I was then informed that they were short-staffed and would be closed the entire following week for vacation. Since I couldn't risk being without my vehicle for potentially two more weeks, my husband called to explain that we would need to have it towed elsewhere due to time constraints. When my husband arrived to retrieve the vehicle, Frank demanded payment for a full diagnostic fee that had never been disclosed to me beforehand. My husband questioned what the fee covered, considering we had only been told what the previous shop had already identified and had specifically been informed that further diagnostics couldn't be performed without replacing the starter. Rather than explaining the charge professionally, Frank became argumentative and condescending, even asking my husband whether he had a job, apparently insinuating that we didn't understand that people deserve to be paid for their work. Frank refused to release our keys until the fee was paid. My husband ultimately paid, and Frank stormed out of the shop. To be clear, we have absolutely no issue paying technicians for legitimate work performed. What we take issue with is being charged an undisclosed fee for an evaluation that couldn't be completed, receiving no additional clarity about the vehicle's condition, and being treated disrespectfully simply for asking reasonable questions. I understand that diagnosing mechanical issues can be complicated and that repairs sometimes need to happen in stages. However, those limitations and associated costs should be communicated to customers upfront, not after the fact. The most disappointing part of this experience wasn't even the money. It was the complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic customer service. I would not recommend Carl Woods Garage based on this experience. Customers deserve to understand what they're paying for and to be treated with respect when they ask questions.

I showed up at 11:02 and waited over 15 minutes in line before anyone was able to even begin to speak to me. This was pretty typical the entire time I was here, a very slow moving line. When it was finally my turn, I explained the issue to my technician Ian who told me that not only could my tire not be repaired but I now needed 4 new tires and an alignment, which may have been true but it smelled like an a very clear upsell. He then told me they didn't have my tires in stock but then showed me several other options that were double the price if not more. I only learned this when I asked to see the original tire I had. At this point, I told him I had an appointment at Costco later and wanted to look online with them before I committed and he had a tantrum. Very clear he was mad about the sale. He kept my keys and then never came back. I had to wait in line for another 15 minutes and it took so long that I sat down. When I finally got called back up I learned I WAS NEVER EVEN CHECKED IN. It's 11:45 at this point. I let them know I only wanted to fix what needed to fixed to drive my car today and that I was going to do the rest of the work elsewhere. At this point I've been here for 50 minutes and nothing has happened. Further, to have a male tech likely try and take advantage of me because I'm a girl is genuinely disappointing and disgusting. Tire repair is never this exhausting at Costco and I'm upset that I thought I could go elsewhere. This experience was so genuinely unprofessional and for a big box brand like this, they really should be ashamed. Shoutout to Ramon, the second technician I worked with. He had to go talk to his coworker to figure out what was going on. Interesting enough when they looked tires up again the $68 option was gone and then the next option was $74. Ramon honored the $68 price which was kind and offered to make sure my car was take care of asap since I mentioned I had been here for nearly an hour to not even have my car checked in. Safe to say I will not be back.
