Noel, the owner, is as professional as they get. His original "ballpark" unofficial estimate was based solely on my description of the issue. However, upon actual inspection of the vehicle he adjusted the estimate to nearly 1/3 of the original. This shows integrity as he knew that A) I don't know much about cars and wouldn't have known any better if he wanted to jack up the price and B) He knew I was willing to pay the original higher ballpark estimate before he started. This says to me that he is an honest and reputable person. Now let's talk about his skill. My 2009 Honda Pilot has sat in my garage for over a year because I took it to Pep Boys after a clicking sound started. They told me it was a "Rod Knock" and instructed me to stop driving it unless I wanted a catastrophic failure. This clicking started the day after I took it in for service after an episode of power loss. $400 later (they did a full tune up stating it was my ignition system)...And like I said, the next day they told me I had a completely unrelated rod knock and needed to stop using the vehicle. They gave me a $5000 estimate of repair. They also told me that I had a faulty AC clutch and gave me a $300 estimate for that. Oh, and I still have power loss. Funny thing was the clicking went away above 2K RPMS. A quick internet search revealed that this was unlikely a rod knock. Furthermore, a few family members who are mechanics (but not nearby) said that no mechanic worth his salt would think it WAS a rod knock. On a whim, I brought the vehicle to We Care Auto before deciding whether to invest in a new engine. They were able to nearly immediately diagnose the problem (something to do with timing, tensioner, other stuff I don't understand). They repaired it in 1 day. Power was restored. Clicking went away. Oh, and he fixed my AC with a $5 part (which I don't thing he charge me for) for a $69 AC diagnostic fee. Nothing wrong with my AC clutch at all. Just some small electronic part. And if that's not enough, he emailed me a video showing me all the bad parts on my car and why they needed replaced. THAT is ACCOUNTABILITY. I am a physician and I know that sometimes I have to put work in to rule the most likely thing out. This diagnostic evaluation takes time and costs money. Sometimes I am wrong and have to move on the the next most likely thing. Sometimes I find something wrong that needs treatment even if it isn't what the patient came in for. Your mechanic is no different. For those who leave negative reviews because they paid for work that didn't solve their problem... It is most unfortunate. But it happens every now and then. This does NOT mean that your mechanic (or doctor) is "inventing" things to bill for. My dealings with Noel and We Care Auto were nothing but positive and convinced me that he is an honest and knowledgeable mechanic. He could have charged me whatever he wanted up to the original estimate and I would have paid. But he didn't. He found the problem, charged me a fair rate to fix it, did it in a timely manner, and WORE A MASK!!! I know such a glowing review may seem like maybe we are friends or I have other motives. But I took the time to write this because it is rare that I am this happy with customer service of any kind. Needless to say, Noel and We Care Auto will be handling all of my mechanic needs from now on. read more

I've used Antioch Auto Center a couple times. They identify the problem, give me an estimate time of repair, and the costs. They are timely, professional, courteous, and very honest. Whenever I have a car concern I call them first (then I call my dad). I agree with Daniel B's review "They deserve extra stars for being great mechanics!" I had my car towed there (by a towing company they referred) on Thursday because of a freak accident with my tire. They had it fixed Friday. Rocky and his team are excellent, and very reasonable. My best friend and roommate went to a chain auto repair place, was quoted $400+ price on the phone, then told it would be closer to $800 with labor added when he took his car there. Sooo New Years Eve I attempted to crank my car after work only got a clicking noises!..dashboard lights & sensors were on but car wouldn't crank. So decided to go on yelp to look for a mechanic/auto shop. Ran across some good reviews for this shop which are absolutely correct! First off they were closed on New Years but still answered my emails letting them know my truck info and what I thought the issue was, second Noel answered the phone on New Years and assured me they would look at vehicle first thing Wednesday morning in which they did! Come to find out that my battery didn't have enough power to establish a connection to my starter...my fault I should've changed that battery out months ago :( lesson learned! Anyway they checked my engine, starter etc for any issues as well as aired up my tires and it wasn't expensive at all! You can't put a dollar amount on professionalism , courtesy and availability! My VW started making a ticking noise so I took it by a auto repair chain who will remain nameless. It was time to replace the timing belt. After hearing their high price I left. I have had repair work done at Antioch Auto Center long ago and I was very pleased, but not sure if they worked on volkswagen. After doing my homework, I also found that they are associated with the BBB. Turns out, they would charge me $600.00 less, they guaranteed my part for 1 year and the labor for 6 months! I took my car there on a Tuesday afternoon and was able to pick up the next afternoon. I've had the car back for a week now and it runs like a dream. Fantastic! I'm so pleased. First of all, I was impressed with how I was LISTENED to. I brought my Tahoe in with an oil pressure problem and felt like I was talking to an old friend trying to think through what it could be. I was called later with a quote for an oil pump replacement. Later, after they had dug into the pan to look at the pump, I was called and told they found a cracked o ring instead, and that it would be much less money if that was the issue. This is why this is important: The labor involved in changing an oil pump in this truck is such that, there isn't much chance that I would have gone through the trouble of double checking to see if they actually changed an oil pump. They could have easily changed the o-ring only and charged me the same amount I was first quoted (600 dollars more). This is the common trope that we are all so worried about, dishonest mechanics, right? With my experience, I wouldn't be worried about that here. Yes, they seem to be a little more pricey than some others, but their work is solid. You get what you pay for. I have nearly 200,000 on my Tahoe, and with their help, hope to get 100,000 more. read more

I will simply say this, "this place is the REAL DEAL!!!!" My car problems started last weekend when my car was misdiagnosed as needing an alternator. I went ahead and scheduled a mobile mechanic to be at my place when I returned to town on Friday AM. (Traveling consultant...) Anyway, Friday AM arrives and the mobile mechanic calls me (at the scheduled appointment time) to tell me that he's running late and will have to do this 'later on today'...WTH!?!? I told him to forget it and began to check around. I went to Yelp and found this place. After reading all of the reviews, it seemed almost too good to be true! I called and spoke to Noel. I told him what I needed was an alternator and needed to get my car there so it can be done. Noel asked me, 'how do you know you need an alternator?' and begin to offer some other solutions which made me decide to go ahead and get my car over there. Upon arriving, I met Jon. (Cool Guy!) Jon went out and checked my car and wouldn't you know it, it wasn't the alternator afterall! (That alone saved me a few bucks!) I jokingly said to him, 'so once you get the part , you'll have me running in about 20 mins". Jon said, "probably so", picked up the phone and less than 10 mins later, was working on my car. Within the hour, my car was repaired, I had saved $$$ and was out the door! (I'm not going to mention that I was ear hustling while I was working and Noel took the time to work out another customer's issue while I was sitting there with patience and courtesy!) These guys are real and this shop is the real deal~ It's hard to find this type of combination in a mechanic nowadays. Make sure you support this local business! read more

They fixed my leak and my water pump and did it for exactly what the quoted it for. I would and will use them for my auto repair in the future. read more

I started going here a few years ago because of a recommendation from a friend, after more than a decade of failures from other shops. Which were a constant cycle of too expensive, wrong repair or not done right. Finally the cycle was over! First, when they say, "here is the problem", you can count on that being the problem and always done right. Price... Here's something I've never seen anywhere... There have been many times when they call me with the estimate. But when they call later to say they're done, the bill comes out to be lower than the quote. Anywhere from $20 to as much as $130. They really are a company where integrity isn't just a word to throw around. I'm so thankful to have found Antioch Auto and plan on keeping them as "my shop" for good. read more
