I don't wanna let the cat out of the bag for fear that they will change. I can't believe this level of honesty and kindness and integrity still exists in this day and age. I have found an auto mechanic I can trust and will use for the rest of my days. I could not recommend them any more highly. Go and tell friends. read more

Great honest shop! Good pricing and they got me in and out same day ! Will be back ! Wohoooooooooooooo

Easily the best experience I've ever had at a car shop. Great work, pricing, communication, and honesty/integrity.

I'm so grateful to have found this repair shop. I'm a first-time car owner and was seeking a second opinion from my local Firestone. Felt out of my element, so Steve not only gave me my complimentary safety inspection, but also invited me to shadow him as he inspected my vehicle so that I could get a firmer understanding of how it works. He was extremely knowledgeable and let me ask questions. Most importantly, he correctly identified a glaring issue that my local Firestone misdiagnosed: my tires were completely bald. I just had my car inspected the other week, and was told that they only had dry rot, and while it was recommended I purchase new tires the day of, I was told that I at least had a month left on them. Steve recommended a Firestone branch he considered reputable and suggested reliable tire brands. He never tried to upsell me on his own services, never even pushed for this Yelp review; his primary concern was making sure I knew what was going on with my car so I could be safe on the road. This place is a little far from where I live, but I am definitely returning when my car needs its oil change. Automotive Solutions is worth the distance! read more

Really great service and awesome prices. Thry always go above and beyond to help me out and treat their customers well. Highly recommend!

Since I've moved to the area, these guys have serviced my cars and dealt with a full transmission replacement on a Jeep and a radiator replacement on my Infiniti. Always happy to help, transparent and will make you feel at ease leaving your problem(s) with them!!! I appreciate their quality work, sense of urgency, care and integrity. Thank you automotive solutions! read more

As a girl in her 20s I am always wary of mechanics as they are known to be crooks and scam artists. I called 6 shops to get a quote to have my air conditioning system flushed and checked and not only was this shop the best price, but I had the most sincere conversation with the owner about what the process is. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this shop to anyone, but particularly women in the area who have the same fears I do. They took great care of me and not only fixed my A/C but topped off my oil because the light was on on my dash and told me what oil to ask for in the future so that my car stops burning through it so fast. He also offered to swap my plates for me because I had just moved to the area and got Tennessee ones. All at no extra charge. Stand up shop owned and operated by stand up people. I made a yelp account just to leave this place a great review. read more

They were fantastic and I will forever trust them with future vehicles. 10 out of 10 service and communication.

Cannot say enough great thing about this place!! Steve was kind, thorough and very trustworthy. Definitely the best mechanic I've been to in Nashville - highly recommend! read more

I'm glad I stumbled upon this repair shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good communication. Did a great job with the repair on a complicated issue that other mechanics said they wouldn't touch. And saved me lots of money from going to a dealership. Highly recommend. read more

Called about an urgent issue and they were able to get to it immediately though they were busy! Very honest, strong communication, great pricing, and nice people! Won't go anywhere else! read more

This review is overdue, but we owe John at Automotive Solutions so much. My partner's truck had a number of issues that were starting to compound and make the vehicle both unreliable and unsafe. John took a look at our list of issues and, as my partner was bringing the truck around for a look, John saw the pleading in my eyes, and knew what it would take to convince my man to part with his beloved but deteriorating vehicle. He ran the computer on it and explained not just the 27 error codes it was pulling and the cost of each of those currently needed repairs, he also detailed his experience with the model and which repairs were coming and their cost. He stopped us from making more than $1,000 in repairs on a truck that would end up just needing thousands more in fixes in the not-so-distant future. And HERE'S THE KICKER: John then spent time answering all our questions about which used vehicle years, makes and models he currently recommends based on their reliability and repair cost. He spent at least 45 minutes with us not making a dime -- just helping a couple on a tight budget trying to make some responsible, cost-effective decisons. We're now on the hunt for a new (used) vehicle based on his recommendations and will be bringing all of our vehicles to him from now on. read more

Drive all the way out to Nashville from California and discovered a leak that was quickly diagnosed and scheduled for repair. Brought the car back per our schedule and the work was completed and No More Leak. Good People & Good Work!!! Tom from California read more

I live in bend Oregon my daughter is there in Tennessee. She got some bad gas on her trip back home and barely made it. I looked on yelp to try and find a shop that I a good feeling about. I found automotive solutions and know this was the place. No diagnostic fees was the sign. She called me and said they were so nice and I called for myself and John when over everything will me and was very knowledgeable. He gave me a rough quote and it ended up being less. She has 2019 Mercedes. If she was to take it to the dealership it would have been triple I know it. Thank you . read more

We had an issue with our Malibu turning off mid-drive so we brought it to Automotive Solutions and they ran a full diagnostic on the car and offered potential solutions. Essentially their advice fixed it within minutes. Turns out it was a faulty remote. AND because it didn't require any actual work, they did it free of charge. We had originally brought it to Carl Black Chevy but those guys are absolute BUMS. They kept our car for a WEEK, charged us $200 for running a diagnostic, and told us the car was "fine". Like sure man, my car literally turned off on the highway while I was going 70mph, my car is totally "fine". Anyways, we will definitely be using this shop for all my car needs. The people were amazing and the experience is one that I would recommend to anyone. read more

Where do I start. John and Steven were amazing from the get go. I have a brand of vehicle they don't usually service, but still offered to check out my car. I had just driven in from Boise and my car began misfiring in Idaho barely brining me back home. Left the vehicle with them thinking it would be days, weeks, months, and a ton of money later. I got a call that same day my car was ready to be picked up and running great again with little cost owed. They made me feel like family from start to finish offering to call them day or night if something went wrong. I feel so blessed to have found them and will use them in the future before going anywhere else first. Thank you Automotive Performance:)! read more

Best shop in Nashville! High quality auto care with reliable honest customer service and integrity. Can't recommend highly enough for excellence and value! read more

I grew up in northern IN with my father & uncle's autobody shop in my backyard; however, am used to getting the run around as a young woman in this city. My landlord & neighbors recommended this spot that is close by and John was able to get me in early on a Monday morning and diagnose an easily fixable repair, saving my hundreds of dollars that I was quoted over the weekend for unnecessary repairs. I had hit a few potholes lately, one in particular that had caused the steering to be off. He explained the issue (a loose ball joint in the spindle of the wheel), allowing me to see what was wrong and how he repaired it. He was honest about what was safety related and necessary to repair now v. things that would need repaired eventually but were not urgent. I am so glad to have found a trustworthy shop with a great team of men that are honest, down-to-earth, and transparent. Highly recommend! read more

I needed fluid exchanges for my transmission, brakes and coolant. Literally was quoted double by some other person and Toyota wanted around the same price Automotive Solutions scheduled me, and my car was ready ~4 hours after drop off. (I WFH so was not pressed on time or anything.) Definitely going back for my next service! Hopefully, I'll get to see the dog next visit. read more

Quick & the only mechanic who knew right away what I was trying to explain happened to my gear shift. Finally found a reliable, reasonable mechanic in Nashville! read more

Would recommend to everybody. Went in with a transmission problem and they shot me straight and didn't try to upsell me on it being worse than it was. Their prices are more than fair, especially knowing some of the local dealership prices. I called to schedule coming in. They were busy at the time and I waited a week to drop my car off, but the great service was worth the wait. read more

5-stars reputation true. I called to get estimates for these services, 1. Replace all brake pads and with front rotor for front brake,s 2. Oil change 3. Tire rotation 4. Air and cabin air filters replacement 5. Windshield wipers replacement I was given reasonable quote in advance. Service was done same as promised, no surprises! I think this is an honorable business and deserves highest recommendation. 5 stars from my experience. Will return here when my car needs more service. read more

Went to Automotive Solutions to have my brakes checked. I have 62,000 miles on my car and thought they were due. The tech advised me that I was about 20,000 miles away from having them replaced. He could have told me they needed to be replaced, but he is an honest businessman. I highly recommend Automotive Solutions read more

There is a similar review which made me choose this shop. My daughter lives In Nashville. I am out of state and her car broke down in an intersection. From what it sounded like I thought it was the transmission. Had it towed to the shop after hours. Checked it out the next day and found the front axles were broke and not the transmission. Quoted and repaired that same day. Great price and great value. Took good care of my kid and greatly appreciated read more

Outstanding, fast, responsive and honest. Helped my daughter get back on the road at pricing that makes the dealers look like the thieves they are. Thank you! read more

After a drive from CA to TN for school, the old automobile needed to be serviced. Unsure of where to go, I turned to my old friends Yelp and Google for some suggestions, and stumbled across the great reviews for Automotive Solutions. Without an appointment, I headed over to the garage when it opened, dropped off my car (using their COVID protocol...super simple and easy), and less than 3 hours later my car was ready to go. Prices for labor and parts were very fair, customer service was great, and they did not try to "up sell" or suggest services that weren't needed. Needless to say, my car and I will be back!!! read more

I made a 9 am "Yelp" appointment at Automotive Solutions. I was greeted by a tech immediately and my car was on the rack within 10 minutes. My Honda manual says I need to replace my brakes between 50,000-70,000 miles. I am right in between. I was told my brakes are fine and was given a clear explanation as to why the brakes installed on my car are high quality and should be good for another year. Some mechanics would have just replaced the brakes and charged me for the service and I would not know the difference. These guys are honest and professional. Great quality for a mechanics shop. Thanks, Guys... read more

These guys at automotive Solutions are great. Moved to Nashville a year ago and didn't know any places to go get my Brakes fixed (VW Tiquan). Went on Yelps and read the reviews. They were all spot on about the work and workers. Awesome. Emailed Steve at Automotive Solutions and he said, he would be happy to look at it, just felt good from the start. Instead of calling, I went there one night right before they closed, since I was in the neighborhood. John looked at it quick and told me to drop it off the next business day and they will let me know what would be needed even though they had many cars to work on. I dropped it off Sunday night. They called by noon on Monday and all the work was done by end of day. Highly recommend--Honest and caring! read more

Automotive Solutions is a fantastic, honest, and efficient shop. It is evident that Steve, John & the team care about getting the job done right, and every time they have done work on my car, have helped me understand what exactly they are charging me for. They are confident enough in their work that they will tell you what you need and more importantly what you DON'T need. Couldn't recommend them enough. read more

The Automotive Solutions experience is kinda hard to describe. They have great curiosity, and acted like a doctor with my car. They looked at my Buick Enclave, first by listening to me about my concern of bad brakes and struts. Then Steve carefully examined it, drove it, listened to the squeaks, drove it down the street and over bumps to verify what was happening. Another staffer listened from the outside. They took great care to make sure their diagnosis was correct. Yes, the front struts and brakes to be bad--but the rears were just fine! No need to repair! It was a trust-building moment. Then, there was detailed explanations of what was happening and why. And how it should be fixed, with stories of quality parts, and the quest to do it right the first time. Then they quoted what it would take to do the work...parts, labor and taxes...the complete price. (I dislike how other shops add many dollars to their quoted price without your knowledge.) And the work was done well. When I came it to pick up the car, I got a thorough show and tell of other issues with my car that unscrupulous mechanics might insist be fixed, but in reality does not need repair! And, it all made sense to this old shade-tree mechanic. I can tell these guys like their work. I like the free-of-charge diagnosis. I like how Steve and John are so kind and competent. I like how they are careful to describe solutions, and I like how they do what they say they will! I'll be back! read more

Great peeps who had a full house when I called, and yet they still found a way to squeeze me in for my minor repair. Easily one of the most accommodating visits to any auto repair shop that I've had in my life. Thanks guys! read more

As a graduating medical student, I've learned to recognize good diagnosticians who excel at keeping their patients/customers well informed to make the best decision possible. The guys at Automotive Solutions are this and more. In a city full of dealerships that charge outrageous prices (ie the Volvo dealership that wants $140 for an oil change, $75 diagnostic fee, $980 for 70k maintenance...), they have always offered me SUPER fair prices ($50 for oil change, no diagnostic fees, $550 for 70k maintenance) while never pressuring me into buying their services. Instead, I learn something new about cars every time I go because they really take the time to make sure you understand what's wrong and how important it is for your car. One extra story: The other day, I lost total ability to steer and my car [2008 Volvo XC90, V8] started heating up. Fearing the worst, I went to AS for a fix. Within a few hours, they were able to diagnose the problem (broken pulley and serpentine belt), explain to me the cheapest fix that they could do (replace parts instead of replacing the entire unit), why it was necessary, and had my car ready and serviceable by the end of the day. Please do yourself a favor and get to know these guys because they do some tremendous work. As long as I am in Nashville, I will go to Automotive Solutions for my car maintenance. read more

Steve is the best. He took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car and how he planned on fixing it. No hassle just great service all around. read more

These guys were great. My Mustang's AC was acting up a little and I wanted to get it fixed before the winter. I had a list of other things for them to take a look at, and they checked them all out overnight and had it back to me the next day. They told me what they could fix, what they'd recommend having someone else look at, and didn't try to sell a bunch of extra stuff to me. It was also really nice that they took a second to explain what was actually going with the AC and what the fix was. If I have any other issues in the future, I'll be back to these guys for sure! read more

These guys were amazing! Came in from out of town, our air conditioning broke on the way out. We dealt with 100+ degree heat till we arrived in Nashville. We called because the reviews for this place were great and I'm so glad we did! They got us in immediately and stated we only needed a few things fixed instead of charging us to get an entirely new compressor, which would have been more than double the price. We were able to go back to our vacation within a few hours. Every person there was extremely nice, knowledgeable and quick. I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

The three-man team at automotive solutions have been my go-to shop for over 2 decades now. Not only do they do exceptional work they are honest and trustworthy, and just really great people to work with. They are always extremely busy yet take time to explain the issue and treat everyone with friendly and personal service. There is not a need (regular maintenance to major issues) that I wouldn't go here for first. If they can't fix it, they will tell you up front and direct you to the right place. Great people. Great skills. Great service. THANKS John, Steve, and Brian for the many jobs - large and small - of incredible work you've done for my family on our various vehicles over the past 20+ years. I appreciate you all immensely! read more

My car door broke on Sunday, and I reached out to Automotive Solutions because I saw they had outstanding reviews here on Yelp. They called me back as soon as they got back to the office on Monday morning and had fixed my car by late afternoon on the same day! They're very fair with their pricing. They also thoroughly explained what broke and what needed to be repaired. Hopefully I don't have any other car issues, but I'll definitely be coming back to them if I do! read more
