This shop has caused irreparable damage to the exterior paint of my vehicle. I am posting my experience in hopes of sparing you a similar heartache. When picking up my vehicle I noticed that a large section of the paint on the hood of my car had bubbling clear coat and paint damage that was not present when the car was dropped off. I brought my car here for repair in good faith, never believing something like this would happen. I did not want to jump to conclusions but luckily I have a dash camera installed on my vehicle. I reviewed the footage before reaching out to the owner Brett. I messaged him and explained the whole situation. I provided him with the video and picture proof that the damage to the hood of my car had occurred at his shop. The video clearly shows the hood without and damage when they have the hood open on their lift. Footage from 5 days later shows them popping he hood and there is obviously a huge section of the clear coat that has been melted away. The owner assured me that the car had been on their secured lot for the entirety of its time in their possession. There is also a clip of the owner pointing out the damage and the technician clearly states it "wasn't like that before." It is very apparent by video evidence and the words of the technician that something terrible occurred to my vehicle while it was at the shop. The damage looks very akin to what might happen if brake fluid, or another highly corrosive material was spilled on the hood. Even after being provided with the proof that his shop has caused this damage, the owners still refuse to rectify the situation or take any responsibility for the actions of their technicians. I do not have the time or energy to take them to small claims. I am instead posting this review in hopes that I can prevent a fellow car enthusiast from making the same mistake. They fooled me once and shame on them. read more

This was my first visit to German Motorworks. I just bought a used BMW (my first) and it needed an alignment. I also had a million questions about my car. These guys are an cyclopedia of information and are more than happy to share it. I was afraid I was going to wear them out with questions. They were very enthusiastic about sharing their expertise. Aside from being extremely knowledgeable this is probably the friendliest shop I've ever been to. More like the motorcycle shops I hung out at when I was younger. People who have an appreciation for the machines and a passion for helping others enjoy them. This car was also a lot of money for me but probably a lot less than most of the cars they work on. But that didn't matter. I felt like they valued my business as much as anyone's. I can tell you that no one else will work on my BMW as long as I own it. If you are considering having them work on your car, do so without hesitation. You will be very pleased with the experience. read more

I would give German Motorworks 10 stars if I could. Brett was so friendly and helpful. I thought that the estimate was very fair. I have an older BMW so wasn't surprised that there were a few things that needed to be done but couldn't afford everything at once. Brett explained in order of importance the items needing the most attention and we agreed on a split of the repairs into two appointments to fit my budget. I am extremely happy with the first round of repairs and have already scheduled my next appointment to complete everything. I cant say enough about those guys! I recently relocated from Miami where I had done a lot of modifications on my M3 BMW. I needed to replace the exhaust so that the car would pass emission testing in TN. Brett was incredibly helpful! He got my car fixed very quickly and saved me a ton of money. The dealership wanted over $9,000 for the job. German Motorworks got it done for a small fraction of that cost! I was ready to ship my car back to Miami for the work needed and even considered selling it. Thank you Brett and the rest of the guys for helping me keep and enjoy my car! Brett is a absolute piece of shit, so I went to Charlotte and got downpipes and a tune done and when I come back to Nashville I realized the people screwed my tune up in Charlotte I asked him to fix it he said why the fuck you calling me for a tune I said I really need it fixed he was like to bad he wanted 5000$ for tune and down pipes and where I'm from in Miami fair market value is 4,250-4500$ I even offered this man 4500$ cash save your money this mother fucker is greedy as fuck won't work with you on nothing. Only good thing about this man is we both like trump, a good brother would take Care of his other brother. read more

I recently had a SMG to Manual conversion done on my E46 M3. The SMG pump failed in my car and was faced with the decision to replace the pump or upgrade. The work German Motor-works did was fantastic. The transmission feels brand new and it has been a fantastic upgrade! They communicated an itemized list of repairs and costs, and helped me prioritize which to address, and what could wait. They went above-and-beyond with troubleshooting to fix the convertible top. The best shop in Nashville! They have worked on my BMW M2 multiple times now for suspension work and tuning, and they have been great. Its hard to find other people who are as obsessed about perfection as I am, but they are! Great people, great shop, and great prices. I trust Brett and the other guys with anything on my car. German Motorworks did a great job on my car! Have an 08 E92 M3 and they changed my worn out Rod Bearings and my 2 cracked motor mounts along with a transmission and differential flush. My car runs great and did it in a very timely manner. Highly Recommended! read more
