This place goes well above my expectations for a Thai restaurant in a town the size of thai places around. It's become our go-to spot when passing through Middletown, and is one of my favorite Thai restaurants around. The menu is sizable, with a number of good specials. Best Thai food in northern...no, make that all of California. I've brought foodies here and they have been in awe--how did THIS happen in Middletown? For those of you who loved Ting's Thai Kitchen in Hidden Valley, this is where the family run restaurant relocated. I've been a nurse for 18 years and occasionally bring the tofu and vegetables Tom Kha soup to patients who are shut in and have just lost the will to live, won't eat. I call the Tom Kha soup here "magic soup" because every patient who has tried it loves it---want to know where it came from and they perked up immediately. Family members start getting it for them to go. You can get anything on the menu at various levels of "heat" (this IS a Thai restaurant after all) from 1-4---hahaha--I usually do "zero or 1" and food still has awesome flavor. For anyone in Calistoga---they just opened one there and it is, understandably, packed, open seven days a week. Also, I think they just got a beer-wine license too at both locations. read more

Their Pad-see-ew pan-fried flat noodle dish is the best I've had. The portion is generous and has a lot of vegetables in it that a traditional dish normally doesn't have. The chili fish sauce on the table that I added to the dish also gave it a nice spicy kick. It was delicious! read more

I went here about a week ago. I had the Pad Thai that was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I have also had the Curried Tofu, that was delicious as well. The Thai Iced Teas are a favorite drink for me when I eat there. The service was excellent and the enviroment suited the Restaurant well. We are staying overnight for the Six Sigma Slinger mountain bike race and we're so pleased to find this little gem that fed us absolutely delicious food (pumpkin curry highly recommended) that was made so much better because of how warmly Munny greeted us and then took care of us over a late dinner. This is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to. Veggies weren't cooked enough and the fish was over cooked. Apparently gluten free is the biggest challenge of all for the kitchen to accommodate. The highly limited options resulted in what could not have been a more boring and flavorless meal. Basically this is what you get in a small town with no options and no competition. I'm always willing to wait for good food and pay whatever it takes. This was the fast food of Thai restaurants. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was casual but also refined, including a wall with a stenciled pattern and multiple Thai statues. The service was fast but not rushed. The food was at our table fifteen minutes after ordering and was billowing with steam. The food was a peg above other Thai restaurants that mirror the same ambiance and effort in service. My pad eggplant was soft and sweet, with spice from the Jalapeños and crunch from the onion and carrots. The tofu had a perfect chewy texture that I loved. I would highly recommend asking for a side of peanut sauce because I licked the tiny bowl of it clean that came with my mom's appetizer. What can I say? It went well with my dish! Their roti appetizer is both tasty and unusual to see at a Thai restaurant. They were really busy tonight, but as usual provided good and friendly service. The food was fresh and tasty, as Thai should be. Though not the absolute best Thai I've ever had, the spring rolls were a pleasant surprise. My wife had the green curry with chicken, creamy and not too spicy; the vegetables were well integrated. Since the closure of Watercolors, this is far and away the best Restaurant in Lake County. The owners are friendly, service is good and extra friendly towards kids, and the food is amazing. As a refugee from the Bay Area, I have had little or no good things to say about any Asian food north of Napa. This restaurant could easily have been transplanted from Solano Ave in Albany, where it would have easily held it's own. Fresh, traditional, Non-Americanized Thai food at it's best. Highlights you must try include the dry curry, dancing mango stir fry, and (when they can get it) the locally farmed Shannon Ranch garlic lamb. My only regret is that they aren't 2 blocks from my house. Hopefully, they will move soon. read more

I really like this place, the hot chili's they have are fresh. I like the freshness of the food and the prices are reasonable. They can accommodate you if you like spicy food too, and since I like hot hot hot, they provide extra chili's! The town of Middletown is awesome and this is the place for thai food. I used to love this restaurant and it was my go to when we went out to dinner. Unfortunately the last 3 times we went the food wasn't very good. My husbands entree wasn't even edible. The beef was rock hard. My pad thai didn't have the usual flavor. It was missing an ingredient. We keep thinking maybe if we go back next time it will be better. A desultory experience at best. The place has no liquor license, and when we ordered tea, we were given a small container full of various kinds of herb tea, one of the bags not even in its original protective envelope. The food is AVERAGE, AVERAGE or below. Our larb salad with beef featured cucumbers which had been in the marinade a little too long, and the beef bits were quite chewy and tough. Stopped by this restaurant on my way back from Mount Shasta, and what a surprise! The Pad Thai noodles are really good, but the recommended dish is the Cashew Nut Grill. Better than most places in Santa Rosa, a true hidden gem. Met Charlie the owner, he is a very nice person and he offers excellent service.
