Nice venue for a Texas Concert and had a dance floor in front of the stage. They were out of Rebecca Creek which was a sponsor of the musician I was there to see.. Little disappointing- Dog friendly bar which is cool. Not a place I'd go out of my way ( I was staying 30 minutes away) visit unless they had some great live entertainment. Menu changes to bar menu only after 9 I believe- a few of us were disappointed bc we had to change our orders last minute. Food was ok- it's bar food lol Fantastic performers though ! They use a ticket agency that double charges you. Then it is impossible to call or email the ticket agency to resolve the double charge because the ticket agency won't answer the phone or email. I and my wife talked to Ron face to face on multiple occasions to resolve the issue. Ron at Bucks refused to help resolve the problem. Instead, he gave excuses. Thanks for nothing Ron. Won't ever see me again Ron. You got paid twice Ron. Could have returned my money from the cash register Ron. I guess you didn't think about that Ron. You know what I think about you Ron? We should have heeded the warning when there were few 5 star reviews out here. Walked in and sign says "Seat Yourself" so we went out onto the deck because it was a nice night with a cool breeze. Well we sat there for at least 15 minutes before a server even acknowledged us. Unfortunately, it was the same server that had passed right by us to take the order of the next table some 10 minutes earlier. No one on the patio had their food in the time span we were there. I was looking forward to trying this local place out but poor service will never get my business. Buck's loss was Brooklyn's Down South's gain. This past Saturday night was my 1st time, and the place is legit. It's big, they have really big outdoor covered/uncovered seating area, outdoor gas-burning fire pits which are great bc then you don't leave smelling like smoke, and usually a live band. It's Pet-Friendly too. Overall though, it's a cool spot just minutes from south Austin. Take Brodie south to 1626, take a right turn and you're there in less than 8 minutes. If you're coming from Austin, it's located on the left side of the road. It's a pretty BIG place though, lots of parking. NEED to Work On: I would like to see More Outdoor Games to play...more than just one cornhole set. The weather is getting warmer and it'd be a great venue if it had more to offer besides just booze. Although they serve beer and liquor, the beer selection is limited and have an even more limited selection of liquor. They have the basics. I'm not complaining considering I like Miller Lite and Jack Daniels, but more drinking options would make me Want to come back. I haven't tried the food yet, but heard good things so far. They're new, so understandably they're probably still working out the kinks. Hopefully they get things moving quick. :) read more

Being new to the area my first impression of Bucks is great! I know this is its first operations surrounding covid, so we have only experienced re-grand-opening Bucks but it was great! There was a nice live band and the food was really good too, I really recommend trying the wings! Bonus points for the space in the backyard, it was an awesome place to run around with our dog and play fetch! read more

went to a private party there or rather a party to raise toys for children in need at xmas the place is huge. we got there early so parking was not a problem the line to get in was almost into the street but once inside the ambiance was great plenty of bars and servers. seating was hard to find even thou there was plenty of table inside and outside cus the organizers had invited over 1000 folks . we found a bench seat out on the terrace had a fine view of the open air theater down below .could hear the music and got to meet some nice folks we have never meet before ...unfortunatly we have to leave early cus of a personal issue,. when things were in full swing . great service, great place had a enjoyable evening so will be back hopefully for a whole evening of fun. read more

If I was the owner, the manager would be fired yesterday. We saw George Lynch play and the musicians were great, but the venue was the absolute worst experience we've ever had seeing a show. All bars/restaurants with openings/doors/walls to the outside wait until it's Fall or Spring to open them up. It's common sense. You don't open up a venue to the outside when it's 97 Degrees and 88% humidity for a concert. Everyone there had to sweat profusely to see the show. Even the performers were all saying it's too hot, and not just one, but all 3 acts said it's very hot when they got onstage.. and George Lynch himself even asked for a bigger fan. Did they do anything? NO. The biggest punch in the gut was watching a lady complain to staff that it's too hot, and she was told they wanted to make money off of George Lynch so they oversold the show, and she could go screw herself over the heat. They said they were "making money." Many, many people complained and we were all told to go screw ourselves. Many people paid 250-400 dollars to see this show, and it was the worst experience we've ever had. These people that run this place are the absolute worst of the worst scumbags. When the opening act, AND headliner ask for AC, and you screw them, that shows everything you need to know. I would never come back to this place as a performer. It's one thing to make your customers suffer for profit, but when you make the performers suffer on stage, that shows that this manager is a special kind of A-hole. Seriously, the performers were all drenched on the first song. These people that run this place have zero respect for customers or performers. We will never go back to this place, ever. Our father was dehydrated because of the heat they let in and started feeling ill. This is the poorest run establishment we've ever been to. And I mean the worst of the worst. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. It was that bad. read more

Had dinner here on Tuesday night. Sad to see that they feel Covid doesn't exist in this establishment. They do not enforce the mask ordinance that the city has in place. Kitchen and bar staff walking around the establishment with no mask with complete disregard of the customer sitting there eating. They allow customers to walk in without a mask and walk through the establishment as well. They do not disinfect the tables when customers are done eating. As I was walking out, the cook wiped his nose with his bare hand and then resumed touching food. The health department is going to get a call from me this morning. Three buddies and I went and saw George Lynch this past Saturday. A few things that I noticed is that the place is rather large inside, they have a decent outside bar, a huge backyard for kids to run around and play and overall the experience was good. The sound of the venue was much better than I had hoped for and I was quite impressed. What we did not understand is that with the size of the crowd, why would they not cut the field where you parked at? Also being as hot as it was and its going to get for the next three- four months, open those side doors that lead out to the patio /outside bar area. Cool that place down. They did open the doors to the side about 9 pm and it made all the difference in the world once that breeze hit the inside. I really liked the outside bar setup as well. Love the outdoor playscape area for kids but the service for food has been really slow lately. We wait almost 25 minutes for burgers and fries and it's sort of frustrating. However, bartenders are sweet and accommodating since they know we have a hungry toddler and they've brought us our food outside before. So kind of them! I seldom leave bad reviews because I believe that it is very important to support local businesses especially within the community in which I reside. I have to say the opening performers and Casey Donahew were phenomenal and put on an amazing performance - costume contest was very entertaining as well. The bartender named Maudie (not sure of spelling) provided excellent customer service and was working extremely hard all evening. It was very busy at one point and as we were closing out our tabs the women dressed as "The Purge" jokingly pointed at a man who was basically harassing this bartender and when I asked him why he responded with "Would you like me to tell you all the reasons?" She was clearly trying to ignore / avoid him and he was even taking pictures of her while saying very rude comments. I called a man over from behind the bar to ask if he was dealing with this situation and he brushed me off like it didn't matter. Shocked. Next, a young girl that I guess used to work at this establishment had been following us around all evening and when we were leaving paramedics and police had arrived and as I work in medical I saw one of the staff sitting with her and wanted to provide some intel on the situation because it clearly looked like she had taken something other than just consuming alcohol. I know these situations can be extremely overwhelming but it is always good to know additional information regarding the situation in which I was trying to provide her with. When I approached the staff member she told me verbatim "You need to just go away right now." I was absolutely appalled. Thankfully police and EMT's were already on-site so I decided to step away from the situation. I appreciate the entertainment but that was so disrespectful as I was trying to offer my services. The staff have better training on these situations because if anyone has information on a customer being in potential danger and they tell someone to go away they could be held liable in the future for their negligence. I was very excited to finally go here and I went with a liquor rep that handled this establishment and we were extremely disappointed by the entire situation that followed the show. read more

We do not support establishments that discriminate. They were gonna let us in without cuts, which is what the few dumb places like this try to do. I was there Friday night September 25, 2020. We paid for our small group and was asked to leave due to intoxication. My tab was $81.25 and due to the situation I only left a $10 tip. I checked my bank to find out $191.25 was charged. They added some zeros to give themselves a $110 tip and to make it worse they did not hand me a customer copy of the receipt. Nice place to go and feel normal for an afternoon. You can chill outside or inside and have some drinks and food if you want. Huge field for kids to run around in and even a stage outside they can play around on if no band is playing. Nobody is uptight about anything, and we all need that right now. I have to say, it's a nice place but have a lot of issues. I have been there a few times and see the same thing. Bartenders and waitresses need to learn how to stop serving when someone is intoxicated. I have seen people there drinking to the point i wanted to pass out. I was so excited to go there as I live in Kyle and it is a perfect location between work and home. Went with a girlfriend and we were ignored at the outside bar. We went inside. We were ignored at the inside bar. We got in line at a cash register at the bar, behind the children (yes it is a family place) and waited forever to order our first drink. Overall I give it a 'meh'. There were kids running everywhere and it felt like a family fun place not a bar/restaurant/live music venue. For the record, we had one drink. We wanted another and to order food but the servers were too busy with the large tables of families to acknowledge our waves and attempt to get her to stop by. Disappointed! i just don't get it. place is beautiful - perfect for sitting outside. just cannot get good service here! been here 3-4 times & it's a shit show every time. husband refuses to come here so when i found myself with a friend last sunday i decided to bop in & have a cold one & a snack. walked in. asked the lady behind the bar - hey can we eat & drink outside? she was like of course! went outside waited 15 minutes. no one came out. finally went in & asked her what's up. she says oh you have to order inside from me! WTF?!!!?! you could not have told me that?!!!?! ordered a beer some food & a soda for my young friend. paid & was told i would have to pick up my food from the side counter. asked how do i get another beer or a soda refill - was informed i would have to come inside. ok. self serve. i get it. i wonder if the owner knows you only have to pay a waitress $2.01 an hour?? holy hell. i'll pay her outta my own pocket AND tip! oh & i did i mention the keg tapped out while she was pouring my beer & when i was like oh bummer man. i was really looking forward to a dos x she mentioned all the other beers. i told her no thanks i'll have iced tea - then she says oh i can get you a beer from the tap outside if you would like me too. YOU THIINK?!!!?!!! so i had to go order my food inside, go order my refills inside, go pick up my food from inside & then they have the balls to ask for a tip on the receipt?!!!?! of course i tipped her 20% because it's not her fault she works for an idiot. wings were delicious. queso was outstanding. oh how i wish they knew how to run a business! read more

Went here for the first time last night to listen to a jazz singer and have drinks with friends. Laid back, casual atmosphere. Bartenders were very helpful and friendly. The space is huge - and has a beautiful outdoor area with firepits, green space and outdoor amphitheater. Definitely will be back! read more

They have excellent burgers. I will give them that. And burgers are half-price on Mondays - so it's a great family outing. I tend to go at slow times, and the service is always pretty terrible. One time, I went with a group of 15 or so. We all ordered drinks, then food, and then we planned to order more drinks. Instead, the waitress brought us our checks. WHAT? WE WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON DRINKS - YOUR BREAD AND BUTTER! So silly. When we take our toddlers, we tend to grab a table far away so that our littles don't pester any other patrons. Unfortunately, this puts us out of sight and out of mind. This place has so much potential. Really. I hope the best for them, but if they can't get their management figured out, I'm worried that this place won't do as well as it could. read more

A friend and I left the big city of Austin and headed south to Buck's for Big Fest and to see one of our favorite bands play, Mike and the Moonpies. The restaurant and outdoor area is huge, much bigger than I expected. They were steadily packed all night but we never had an issue ordering a drink. We also ordered some food. I had the wings and my friend got a burger. No complaints. Kudos for having fans outside on the patio. It definitely helped as it was a hot summer night. They have a pool table and air hockey indoors and a basketball shooting game outside. The patio is spacious enough that we didn't have an issue finding seats and they have lots of picnic tables. Beyond the patio is a large lawn area and an outdoor stage. I imagine they host some great outdoor concerts. Overall a great experience. I wouldn't mind leaving the city to come here again. :-) read more

HUGE disappointment! Our group of 12 went to the Crawfish Boil yesterday and feel like the entire thing was a hoax or bait and switch move with the marketing. It started at noon, we arrived at 2pm and they were already sold-out of crawfish and the place was not even packed, at all. There were only 2 bartenders and no servers on the back patio so drinks were slow moving but we all ordered a drink and started searching online for a legit crawfish boil. Disappointed and hungry some of us that hadn't eaten got a snack from the BBQ place inside but within an hour when we decided to stay and the other parties decided to get BBQ they were out of BBQ. Never again will I believe anything they advertise. They blew it!! read more

OMG! Thieves with terrible customer service. Our first visit and likely our last. Sadly, not a family friendly venue. They give the appearance of welcoming families, but after 10:00pm we were instructed very rudely to leave the premises with our children-even though they were given balls to play with outside by the bar. Ordered 10+ draft beers-each with a different price depending on the bartender/waitstaff. Bishop (manager) is completely uninterested in addressing these issues-he'd rather just profusely apologize. We visited Buck's for the first time on St. Patty's day, for Stone Larue. We had a burger and fries and was actually pleasantly surprised -- pretty good food for a bar/concert venue! I expected to see the concert on the stage inside, but was told by staff that they had a brand new stage outside...I was really really impressed with the new stage and set up! Plenty of room on the lawn to watch the concert/dance and several bars inside and out to order drinks. We can't wait to go back for another concert! read more

The place itself is cool and could be amazing. That said, the quality of the service is horrible. Spent 20 mins just waiting to get waited on while one of the waitresses was sitting on the lap of some customers 2 tables down playing grabass. Table was filthy, was told they didn't have anything to wipe it down with. The soda tasted like they were out of syrup. The burgers were essentially charcoal briquets as they were massively overcooked. I think we waited another 20 mins to get our check so we could bail.
