Came in on a very VERY busy Sunday before Christmas to find some clothes for my new job. I found several tops I liked and was assisted with finding jeans. When I say assisted... they went above and beyond to help me find the right size, fit and style. They know what they're doing! I'm a tall girl so this wasn't easy. Buckle has 36 inch length! Mercedes and Bryce are awesome and I left with 2 pairs of perfectly fitting jeans and a beautiful top! I went in discouraged because I had just left American Eagle and they didn't have any jeans in my size/length/style. I left Buckle feeling so grateful for the village that is Buckle who all worked together to get me what I needed! My only disappointment is that nothing was on sale. Review as a Shift Lead - worked here for almost 2 years ~ My journey started as a regular sales associate, looking for a retail job to get into the work force. I wasn't even into Buckle, didn't know the company much and wasn't too experienced. However I was persistent as I really was interested and called back many times. Eventually I got hired and really enjoyed it! I worked my way into a Key Holder/Shift Lead position and now I'm going super part-time as I found another job more focused on a career path I would like to pursue. However about the store, incredible management, the manager at Promenade Temecula is always open to ideas, discussion, and open feedback. Learning and reviewing is always open-sheet and starting off the pressure is very low from the team so long as you're actively trying. But that's just the thing, you DO have to actively try to work and apply the concepts and role-plays the team reviews, they try their best to lay it out as easy as possible. The team of shift leads are always trying their best to improve the team and help everything move as smooth and easy as possible. Very reliable and dependable team. It definitely is a sales job, we're a hybrid pay structure of a guaranteed hourly x commission, as we do have to pitch and be forward with guests, however I'd like to say it's all about perspective. Let me elaborate... the company definitely advocates for being forward and "sales like" with guests and sometimes that can lead to awkward scenarios, however a ton of guests absolutely love the experience we provide them! For example, just the other day I helped a mother get a full outfit for her two sons when they were only looking for shoes! They left having a very positive and easier school shopping experience AND the business profited AND I got a good commission bump! That's what I mean about the "perspective" comment, sales is often seen as "scammy" but it genuinely can be very helpful for many people! It's all about the lens you allow yourself to see it from! If you keep your head up and keep on trying to improve and sell you WILL succeed at The Buckle. If you don't want to try or improve, then it will show and the team will notice. It's really up to you to seek to improve and to actively ask and be open to feedback from the shift leads and manager. I've learned so much and people, sales, working, management, and more! I'm definitely not perfect and have much more to grow on, but Buckle Temecula definitely helped me grow as an individual. Again, the manager at Promenade Temecula, Bryce Garcia is an amazing Manager and does an incredible job listening, uplifting, enforcing, and motivating. AVOID this brand. Ordered online and items did not match in color or sizing. Return process is slow - they need 5 to 10 days AFTER an item is confirmed delivered on their side to "process the return" and then an additional 3 to 5 days for the charge to be refunded. But... then they KEEP the shipping cost you paid which is a joke if you are returning items for reasons other than you just don't like it. If an item does not match its description then the buyer shouldn't be responsible to eat ANY of the original costs. Never, ever again would I buy from them. My wife and I visited the store on 11/5/24 about 3:00 pm. and spent a consider amount of time in the store. I mention this because the staff in the store at this time should be applauded. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by a young lady that helped my wife find everything she was looking for while multi tasking helping other customers. Due to the amount of time we spent in the store we were approached by every member of the staff multiple times offering to help. Due to the length of time we spent in the store I heard and observed every member of the staff constantly helping multiple people with a smile, knowledge and enthusiasm like I've never seen before. I travel for a living all over the United States and have visited many Buckle stores over the years and have never seen this level of knowledge of the products and customer service. The problem with the Buckle Store is the actual Brick and Mortar store. If you need a shopping concierge then this is really a good place for you. The relentless staff will grab you a whole clothing ensemble before you know what hit you. With their jeans at over a hundred a pair, it explains why they push their credit card on you so much. My suggestion is if you like Buckle's style use their store to get proper sizing for the brands you're interested in. Then buy off their web site because of better selection and occasional sales. Also, you don't have to deal with any of their aggressive salespeople. - Sizing is different for each of their brands, so check carefully. - Online is the way to go. $7 shipping per order. - Sales pressure for women's clothing is very pushy.. This review is a simple warning to those considering this store. I had no idea of this store's reputation. The staff is extremely over the top when it comes to service and sales. All I want to do is browse clothes. I don't need to be approached and asked what I'm looking for, only to be approached a second time by a different staff member one minute later and asked the same question. I was overwhelmed in the first two minutes of being in the store. Here's the big one: No one under any circumstance should be approached upon while in the dressing room! I was trying on a couple t shirts and had already told the staff I was not there to buy jeans. One of the staff placed a pair of jeans over the door and spoke to me while I tried on shirts. It was uncomfortable and very awkward. I said two words, "I'm good." She laughed and left the jeans there anyway. I was in shock. And then before I could finish in the dressing room she came over again and asked how I was doing. Advice to the staff: TAKE A STEP BACK. CHILL. I dont know if they have went through management changes, but the first time we went in was an ok experience for my girl and i, she signed up for a Buckle credit card and purchased a few items. Since then, she let the card expire and has no interest in the store. We went in after the mall reopened and she was browsing, i saw about 3 items I wanted and went to the check out area while my girl continued to look around. I waited for 5-10 minutes and nobody came to help me, so we left the items on the checkout and left. Then yesterday (9/17/20) we went back, a very staffed store and not one employee greeted us as we walked around the store, then we saw a sunglasses display 2 for 20 and grabbed 2 and went to checkout and they rang up at full price. The people working , maybe a new hire? Was completely confused so he went to get help. The "help" came over and explained that i have to buy 2 of the exact pair to get that price and could care less about resolving this problem. So once again i left the store leaving the product i wanted to buy on the counter. Im sure this happens more than with just me and i await the new store that takes over when Buckle goes out of business and blames covid for their horribly run business failing. I would give this 0 stars but the app makes it a 1-5 so thank Yelp for giving you something. It was an experience that I was seriously dreading, I haven't felt good about the way I look and knew that shopping for a new size was going to be difficult for me. Jillian from this store gets 5 stars from me which is rare. She provided me outstanding service when she could have brushed my phone call off. I was trying to get through to the one located on Palm Desert. Phone over there busy for 20 + mins. She took my name and phone number. Offered to look up the item I was calling about and tell me how many in stock, while also offering to call them to have then hold the item for me. Thank you so much for your great customer service. She provided the brand name by the description I gave her and told me how much it was. She even told me that if I purchase it online I have to pay extra for shipping. One day I went shopping for a winter coat. Found one I really liked here. Asked them to hold it for me. I was gone for 10 minutes... 10 MINUTES! when I came back they had sold it to somebody else! I used to love this store until I saw they were allowing no masks. One gal says their policy is to not enforce it. The manager who I also saw assisting the unmasked shopper stated to me, when I called later to complain that a medical condition is an exception. The shopper did not have a medical condition and her mask was hanging from her face. Nor had a oxygen tank. It's a state mandate to wear a mask in a mall. I should be able to shop safely. I actually do have a medical condition. How ironic. What was more frustrating is that the Manager kept defending their position and changing her story everytime I challenged it. Health over wealth! I'm not really sure what segment of the population Buckle caters too. The men's clothing doesn't seem to be high quality yet it's premium priced. It's kind of like Abercrombie & Fitch meets Forever 21 and has a drink with Guess (the outlet store). It's true Buckle is a bit expensive, but you're paying for high quality & unique clothes, so it's to be expected. And if you're a fan of "bling", you'll probably really like this store! It's definitely more appealing for a "younger" crowd (18 - 30). The team here is incredible. Each associate was willing to help me and offer suggestions while I was trying clothes on. I was there during closing too, and they didn't make me feel rushed at all. And they were all SO down to earth. By far the best Buckle store I've been to. It's almost like having your own personal stylist when you come in. They typically hand you a card that they write your size and other information on, and they'll take you to a fitting room where you practically never have to leave as they bring what felt like a never-ending amount of jeans, shirts, and shoes to try on. They're great salesmen, but they do it tactfully and without leaving you feeling raped. This store also offers lay-away services for people that may have fallen in love with something at the store, but can't afford it that day. I haven't used it personally, so I can't comment on it. I know there's a down payment required though :) Lastly, they have a "rewards" card that they stamp with each $10 you spend. I had not been at this location previously, decided to call the store to inquire about hours; lovely employee Jillian ( forgive if wrong, dear) answered and with excellent customer service, and offered to personally assist us when we arrived. We arrived to the store, and was promptly greeted and recognized! She did a fantastic job assisting my two boys find what they wanted! Great selection and service at this location worth the drive out! We will be back! Free tailoring service as well. 5 stars for service. This buckle does have a good sales staff. They were very helpful and definitely proved to be the 'personal shoppers' that they strive to be. Zeke was my salesperson and he was very helpful and ultimately ended up picking out the jeans that I purchased. He was also very kind and thoughtful. I told him "please no rhinestones" and he didn't bring me one blinged out thing. 2 stars for product. (unless you love sparkle city) The dirty Buck has changed a lot since the last time I shopped here. They are still holding on the the idea that everyone and their mother wants to be encrusted in rhinestones and that makes me sad. I feel like buckle wants to be a superstar trend setter but they are usually one step behind. Who is still wearing Sinful and Affliction? I used to be obsessed with Buckle's jeans and now, not so much. This is the only store in the area that I shop at and every find exactly what I want! They are the only boutique in this valley that carries all the wonderful and well-made brands! I cannot go there without purchasing at least two items and putting another on layaway. The ladies that work there are so accommodating, they are always helping me if something isn't at the store they order my size, and they are all so sweet and personable. I'm not sure what style Buckle is going after. It's not high end but neither low end stuff. Priced very high but here is my true problem with this company..... The sales push ! Its like they're used car salesmen in there. They push their product to hard and are to intrusive on your space. They have that formatted list of insincere questions they ask every potential customer walking in, trying to create that sense of sincerity. We all see right through it Buckle. I was so happy with my recent trip to this location. I hate shopping, and hate shopping for clothes. I walked in, was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. They helped me look up my Credit limit, and then I was helped out by Linda (I feel as though I got the name wrong, I'm sorry! Started with an L. I think. Tall brunette working at 2pm 12/22!). She helped me find what size I was, and gathered up lots of different styles for me to try. Checked in with me regularly while I was trying them on- and got me different sizes to try for things I loved. I was in and out with 3 new jeans and some shirts in under 40 minutes, no stress, and totally happy! That never happens with me and clothes shopping. I am extremely grateful. read more
