Bubs was a great spot. I had some time to kill and was craving breakfast, I'm glad that I picked this spot. Great value and service, coffee was also great. The early morning crowd was very friendly and the lighting in the restaurant is good for early morning, I can appreciate not being blinded by bright LED lights at 6am. read more

I love this place to death, anybody asks me where they should go for breakfast I tell them Bub's. The people, the food, the decor, it's all equally amazing. I love small places that make you feel comfortable and welcome, and they sure do. I'm really fond of their waffles and bacon, I get it almost every time I go. That and a coffee. The only downside is that I wish they were open for longer because their lunch is REALLY good too, which honestly says something due to them mainly being a breakfast place. However, them mainly being a breakfast place explains the hours, so I can't complain too much. Besides, me being a late riser and them an early closer saves me some money in my wallet, and makes it an occasional Treat. read more

Small menu, everything executed perfectly, the friendliest service in Kentucky all at a more than fair price. Bub's is where the Etown locals go to eat breakfast, drink coffee and visit. Regulars include retired military, first responders, local business leaders, but whether you are are a regular or a first-timer you are treated as FAMILY. A good local diner, where everyone knows your name, if you're from Etown. They definitely have their "Saturday morning regulars", as I've been here a handful of times and noticed the same groups at the same tables. The menu is small, offering your basic breakfast items, and they do a good job with those. I've heard they have pretty good chili but they only offer it during the winter months. The staff isn't overly friendly but are attentive and service is fairly quick despite it always being busy during the breakfast hours. Decided to have a little breakfast at Bub's with some of #myladyribe. As soon as we walk in my daughter is instantly enamored by the decor. Bicyles and several minature cars dangling from overhead. In the mist of this locomotive display, a clown is parachuting into the center of the room. I realize you probably didnt pull up this review to read about the interior design but my 5 year old spent the entire breakfast pointing out various details and asking questions about the signs and little trinkets here and there. For all you parents with littles....This would be a great place to play "I spy!" with the kids! Uhhhmmmm.....moving on I'm giving Bub's 4 stars. I ordered the biscuit and gravy platter. My food felt a bit rushed. My biscuit was very crunchy on the bottom and the sausage was a wierd pinky color. One the bright side though...the gravy itself was a homerun! And the bacon was the best I've had in awhile. The staff was very polite and our food was delivered 12 minutes after ordering. This is hands down the best place in town for breakfast in Elizabethtown. I love their biscuits and gravy. I have had other things there as well for breakfast and they have all been great. You always get more than enough food and it's definitely worth the money.
