The staff are friendly and their hamburgers and onion rings are good. But, I recently tried their meatloaf. It was tasty, but was cold in the middle. The server told me they make the meatloaf once a week and heat it up when ordered. The biscuit that came with the meatloaf was super hard and inedible. It appears they pour your soda from 2 liter bottles. Several guests complained their soda wasn't fresh. Mine definitely was flat and had no bubbles. With a few tweaks, this restaurant would be ok. The food is ALWAYS outstanding here! Seriously, the best smash burger around (right up there with Laha's), their chicken wings are insanely good (and I'm picky about wings) with amazing sauces. The daily specials are consistently worth trying, outstanding home cooking (try the meatloaf), and oh my gosh, desserts! Consistently the very best breakfast in 2 counties (the sausage gravy is tue best a I've had and her pecan waffles are worth the drive). This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I've ever been too. I like to rank my restaurants and this one would be a number 2 behind Fogo De Chão in Indianapolis. Both are amazing though. I went to Kentucky in the fall with my dad and sister and we came here for breakfast one morning and OH MY GOD. The pancakes were so big, fluffy, and tasty. The omelette, bacon, and hash browns were cooked perfectly. And the baby cakes which are basically deep fried pancake batter with cinnamon sugar and syrup were the best thing I've ever eaten. And don't get me started with the nicest waitress's I've ever met in my life! The vibe in that restaurant was amazing as well. I'm a Christian and this restaurant was Christian and I've never been to a Christian restaurant until that day and I was so shocked. I would recommend everyday if the week, month, year, decade, or your entire life. read more
