Nice hidden gem. Quirky decor Enjoyed the schnitzel. Great crunch on the crust. Would've enjoyed the kraut more if it was less sweet. Overall I think everyone would enjoy the trip. Beautiful scenic drive to the cafe.

Fun little eatery we stopped at on our way from Mammoth Cave,Ky. Nothing fancy but some interesting choices. A very local place but seems to get traffic from others traveling from the cave. Breakfast served until 11 on Sunday. Choices for lunch included sandwiches, pastas, salads and chicken with sides, pies for dessert. Service no nonsense in this very casual restaurant. You will like that you stopped.

Highly recommend. 12$ as of 6/2024

Nice hidden gem. Love German food so had to stop. The 24oz pretzel is massive, fun for the kids. All the food we had was flavorful, the home kraut was by far the best. I could have eaten a gallon of it. Thank you

If you are in the area, do not miss the chance to stop at this gem! We had the schnitzel and it was so flavorful. I did not expect to find German food out here. Our waitress was really nice and answered all questions about the menu. You could tell chef Claudia took pride in her food. Indoor & outdoor seating. Definitely worth stopping by. We are so glad to have found this restaurant.

What a great little place! My husband and I stopped here after spending a few hours hiking at Mammoth Cave. We stayed in Glasgow to see a bluegrass concert at The Grove (highly recommend), so the Blue Holler Cafe was actually out of our way. We liked the reviews and love a good schnitzel, so we decided it was worth checking out. Boy, are we glad we did! Ms Claudia is more charming than the restaurant, and her food is delicious. The schnitzel was seasoned perfectly, tender, and crispy. We both enjoyed the German style potato salad and kraut (with caraway seed). We even started with a pretzel. I'm usually one to bring leftovers home from a restaurant, but everything was so yummy that I didn't leave a scrap of food behind. We will be sure to revisit if we're ever in the area again.

True to the home cooked meal feel. We enjoyed the bratwurst and potato salad (tangy). Worth a trip out if you want to try something different from hot dogs, burgers, and pizza.

So delighted to see that Blue Holler is on Yelp and getting great reviews. I couldn't get service when we were there to check-in. Per the name and hillbilly taco special on the table, I was leaning in that direction for my order, until I heard the chef's German accent. So glad I ordered schnitzel. And the German potato salad was super. Even though the side of green beans didn't appear to be made from fresh beans, the seasoning made up for it. My husband was delighted with his enormous serving of country fried steak and the boys like ALL of their food, too! Two thumbs up. If we're ever back in the area, we'll be back to Blue Holler.

Food was really good. Two people in our party had the Jager schnitzel and it was delicious. The side of sauerkraut was delicious also, the owner said she had made herself also. We also had a Reuben that was amazing and a cheeseburger, it was quite the mix of offerings. Their pecan pie and apple pie and some delicious cherry cobbler finished it off. Our waitress was attentive and adorable. Will definitely go back to this hidden gem.

Traditional hole-in-the-wall in appearance but don't let that stop you from trying this delicious and authentic German food. I wish I had ordered extra German potato salad. Lucky for me a local magazine article under the tables glass had the recipe!! The specials were packed with flavor. My husband had the sausage and sauerkraut and I ate the rouladen with house made spaetzle and it was served with red cabbage.

Such a cute spot! Very clean. I had German Goulash, the meat was super tender and the gravy was very flavorful. Fantastic meal! My kids had burgers which they liked. We also shared a wonderful warm pretzel. The owner is so nice with a sweet story. This was the best restaurant we could find in Southwest KY.

Service was fast and friendly. Food came out hot. Fish dinner (light cornbread breading on fish) and German potato salad were delicious.

If you haven't stopped in The Storehouse Coffee & Gifts on the Public Square in Leitchfield, you're…read moremissing one of those places that reminds you why supporting local businesses is so much fun. First, the building itself is worth seeing. From the outside, it fits beautifully into our historic downtown square, but once you walk through the door you really get the full effect, old exposed brick, wood floors, huge windows, comfortable couches, tables, and even an upstairs loft seating area. It feels less like a coffee shop and more like somebody turned a cool old downtown building into your living room. And then you see the drink menu. If you're the type of person who says, "I don't really like coffee," I'm not sure that excuse is going to work here. They have the regular brewed coffee, cold brew and espresso drinks, lattes, mochas, Americanos, cappuccinos, macchiatos and frappes. They also have chai, hot tea, hot chocolate, refreshers, smoothies and other non-coffee choices. Then comes the flavor selection. Looking at that wall is almost intimidating. Caramel, cinnamon bun, cookie butter, toasted marshmallow, pumpkin spice, raspberry, coconut, Irish cream, white chocolate...the list keeps going. They also have a surprisingly large selection of sugar-free flavors and several milk choices, including almond, oat and coconut. In other words, if you can't invent a drink you like from this menu, you may just not be thirsty. The coffee itself was really good, but what impressed me almost as much was the atmosphere. This is a place where you can actually sit down, drink your coffee and enjoy yourself instead of feeling like you need to grab your cup and get out of the way. Bring a friend, have a conversation, get some work done, or just claim one of those couches and forget what time it is. Storehouse Coffee is exactly the kind of locally owned place I like seeing on our town square. Good coffee, friendly people, a ton of choices, and they've taken a beautiful old downtown space and made it somewhere people actually want to gather.

This shop is located downtown, but there's another shop closer to the highway that has a drive-thru and parking lot. I have not been to that location. I came here twice, and I had a nitro cold brew with sugar free vanilla as well as a hot black sesame matcha with oat milk. The cold brew was smooth and strong- perfect for powering through a workday on a warm day. The black sesame matcha didn't taste "green" and stayed warm, a powerful punch to get through the afternoon. They also have unique non-coffee drinks; my coworker got an iced drink called "Huckleberry Ben" that seemed interesting. The prices are so low here. You can get two specialty coffee drinks for under $15, and that includes tax and tip. The baristas were nice, and the coffee shop is a fun place to hang out if you want to work or chill. I don't know why anyone would drink chain coffee in Bowling Green with Spencer's around. I can see why everyone loves it, and I will be back too!

The shared restroom setup was a little awkward, but honestly, I'm glad it brought me in because it felt like discovering a hidden gem in Bowling Green. The atmosphere inside is amazing; cozy, stylish, and definitely a great spot for photos. Since it's close to WKU, there were lots of students and staff studying and working, which gave the place a really nice local energy. The woman taking our coffee order was incredibly kind and friendly. She was so genuinely thankful when I left a tip, which made the experience feel even warmer. Great coffee, great vibe, and a perfect little stop while exploring Bowling Green. Highly recommend grabbing a cup here as part of your downtown visit.
