Really nice cafe on the main square in Glasgow. Public parking around the square makes access pretty simple. Food is fresh. The recipes are delicious. Friendly servers. We walked up and ordered at the counter but they provide full table service. (Clearly, we are out-of-towners) Our only issue was with the bowls. Visiting family on the area and was looking for a small breakfast spot. Fine Arts Bistro had a great eating and we were close by so we parked and went inside. After taking in the ambiance and vibe of the place we perused the coffee and food menus. We ordered a sugar free flavored coffee and a regular flavored coffee. For breakfast I ordered the Foragers omelette and potatoes. It was so so good! Very fresh tasting and the sauce was perfect! My wife had the biscuits and gravy and was impressed. Not many restaurants can make "great" southern gravy but they know at Fine Arts Bistro. The food and service was so wonderful we had to compliment them personally. We were super disappointed, first they were out of what we ordered so we pivoted and it was not good. Breakfast silders were dry, i told my daughter reminded me of those Jimmy Dean microwave sausage biscuits. The potatoes looked grey very grey, this picture doesn't truly show that, we didn't even touch them. Packet of ketchup thrown on the plate is really gross considering you don't know where all that packet has been. Pancakes with strawberries were meh.. would have been good if they weren't burnt on the bottom. Definitely would not eat here ever again. Waste of money and took forever. read more

This is a cute little cafe serving breakfast and lunch. At first I thought, "Meh, nothing of note here..." Then I tried every other cafe in town... I can now reliably assert that they are very special. Why? Clean food, good service. They serve relatively healthy food, not mounds of who knows what smothered in beige gelatinous "gravy" and touted as "home cookin'". They have salads that don't look like animal fodder and have tasty ingredients and dressings. Healthy options. Even (dramatic music here) vegetarian options (gasp). Their espresso program is not great, but absolutely stellar by Kentuckian standards, in that it doesn't gag you. The protein shakes are even tasty! So no, it's not real fancy, the menu is small and odd, there is no alcohol served at all, but it's quaint and artsy and cute, the service is neighborly and congenial, it's centrally located downtown and parking is usually not an issue. By local standards, it is easily the best option I've found for early-to-mid-day eats. Oh: try the black eyed pea salad...noms! Never underestimate the value of decent, clean food served by friendly people in otherwise inhospitable places. Recommended! read more

While in the area camping, we found ourselves without (AT&T) cell service, we headed here to "connect" really quick on a holiday weekend. I stayed with my fur girl, outside and sat at one of the few two seat tables. My husband went in for our iced tea and coffee and it seemed to have taken a hot minute... literally. He came back and reported that they were not friendly. The location is on a downtown corner, in front of the Glasgow Courthouse. On Saturday check out the Farmers Market that surrounds the courthouse. I went inside for a refill and to use the restroom. I too found them to be unfriendly, and definitely didn't have your average friendly small Kentucky town feel. Heading home from Nashville, Tennessee and wanted to find a little place off the beaten path. So, so glad we went to Glasgow and this marvelous little restaurant. The sausage came from the owners farm and the three servers worked as a team so the service was above excellent! Proportions were spot on for the affordable price. Big eaters could order two bowls of the breakfast Hash, etc. I guess. But my husband ended up eating half of mine, so I'll let you decide. Federal style homes line the trip there.
