Vibe is an adorable coffee shop set in a refurbished building off the square in Elizabethtown. The coffee menu includes the typical espresso drinks but also offers smoothies, açaí bowls & other small plates. Our lattes were good, but on the sweet side (aka hard to taste the coffee) and served by a barista that seemed less than thrilled to be working. Our toast plates were good (avocado toast for one, PB & honey with fruit for the other), but about pricey for something I could make (better) at home. Driving back home from Nashville we just had to stop at this little café! The interior was absolutely beautiful with a collection of antique furniture and thoughtful touches. It was very spacious inside and plenty of places to sit including some couches and many tables. Bonus points because parking was very easy and accessible as well! The baristas were also very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband got their chai and I got the Cinnamon Sugar latte they have for the fall season. Both were very good! The chai was smooth and well balanced, and the latte was very well done. Not too sweet, but just enough! If you find yourself in Elizabethtown, definitely recommend this spot! I have to preface this review saying that in the area, vibe coffee is 5/5. I think this is the best coffee shop in the Elizabethtown area. Whenever I visit Kentucky, I frequently make my boyfriend haul us across town to enjoy coffee here on the weekend. I usually go for the Tahitian Vanilla or the Aztec Mocha. The drinks are on the sweeter side for me personally but they are a treat which is probably why I enjoy stopping by. The pastries are average to me, we had a scone once and it was very dry. We usually just stick to coffee here. The cafe is decently large and a great place to sit down and relax, meet up with friends, or even do some work. When I moved here I thought it was going to be my go to coffee shop. Over the last few months I've had multiple negative experiences. I hope they start being more selective when hiring. It seems training is not there. If I am going to pay $8 for a coffee I would hope it was made properly :( One time would be fine, but this has been an ongoing problem and then when I ask them to remake it, they look at me crazy. Yes! Cute little shop in the heart of E-town's downtown square. And even though E-town is a relatively small town, this coffee shop offers drinks, pastries, and ambience on par that larger municipalities have to offer. I am also a fan of freshly roasted, whole bean coffee so I purchased 4 bags to take home to Missouri with me. TSA took a closer look at my baggage due to it, but it was worth the inconvenience. Oddly, at 7am during the week when they open, they weren't wildly busy which made me be disappointed for them. He LOVED his blueberry muffin. My avocado toast was exceptional. And I was not sure what to expect for the Aztec mocha. I'm very picky on flavors in lattes. But the cayenne and cinnamon somehow made like a flavorful coffee just more flavorful. You really couldn't pick out only a cayenne flavor or only a cinnamon flavor. Parking is either very convenient or very inconvenient, based on available spaces in front. For such an unassuming, coffee shop in small town USA, I was pleasantly surprised by an awesome experience. With that said, I LEFT MY WALLET IN THE BATHROOM UGH. My entire wallet. Every card. All my cash. IM A DUMMY. What can I say? Well, about 20 mins past Bowling Green, I receive a message request from a lady who claims she's from vibe. SHE HAS MY WALLET. DANG IT. Well, I mosey on back and everything is in place. This kind woman FOUND ME ON FACEBOOK and let me know my ENTIRE WALLET had been left. Nothing had been touched. It was just as I left it, 2.5 hours after the fact. We walked in and we're really impressed by how beloved this coffee shop was by so many. It was a beautiful location inside and out, and had plenty of patrons to appreciate it. My family and I really enjoyed our coffees and the pricing wasn't bad at all. When I had asked about the blend of espresso (purely out of curiosity as I had never had espresso that tasted like it and it was quite nice) The barista looked annoyed that I would ask about it and was a little bit condescending when we had discussed it. Our entire family was a little taken back by the response. We did talk with other locals who had said that on occasion, that was typical behavior, but the coffee was good, and they said to give it another chance without the expectation of friendliness.
