Pros: Ambiance was nice and clean. And honestly it's just nice to be indoors when you do a lot at National Parks. Service was very friendly. The server kept refilling our drinks and the food came out very promptly. Food was a-ok. I had a fancy grilled cheese, he had a cheeseburger, both came with fries. A perfectly serviceable lunch. Cons: Not really any. It was a really ok meal. Tips: They have a better than expected beer menu, so I would look into that, if you like beer.

I took advantage of the proximity of the Green River Grill when visiting Mammoth Cave in Ky for dinner. Located in the park and connected to the lodge, it was very convenient. The atmosphere was a little bland but service was excellent and the food good quality. The food was priced well and we were impressed with quantity eg the charcuterie board was huge! I would visit again and happy to recommend.

Conveniently located inside the park and are operated by The Lodge at Mammoth Cave, we stopped at this establishment. Named for the river that flows for approximately 384 miles through south-central Kentucky, the Green River Grill was an ideal stop for visitors like us seeking to refuel after a day of cave exploration. The menu featured an array of dishes that highlight local ingredients and flavors, from hearty breakfast options to satisfying lunch selections, and sadly limited for those who don't eat meat or fish. Upon arrival as first-timers, my partner, his family, and I waited a few minutes for a staff member to sit us down at the next available table in the dining room. For starters, we opted for the Fried Mozzarella Cheese Curds. As our main entrees, we decided on the Portabella Sandwich accompanied by Fries and the other by Onion Rings, Lemon Pepper Trout, and Turkey BLT Wrap. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and hit the spot. Prices were good given that there weren't a lot of options we were used to in New Jersey. The service was friendly and attentive; our server was Michelle. We can recommend this place.

My party and I really enjoyed the grill. The food was fast and delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and welcoming! We ordered multiple meals from here of breakfast, lunch, and dinner and we were not disappointed. A convenient place to eat when exploring Mammoth Caves NP.

after a 2 hours tour and 3.8miles walk. This is great food and taste pretty well. Only fired chicken takes 45 mins. But otherwise, just stay and eat, price is very reasonable too .

What a fantastic find. Maybe the best food we tried in the area. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. I consider myself a connoisseur of the dish, and this is one of the better ones I've had. Also, the huckleberry jam for the biscuits was amazing too. Highly recommend trying lunch here with your cave tour!

Mammoth burger was flavorful and good sized. Cheese curds were super tasty. Pinto beans were DELICIOUS! Served with purple onion and tasty cornbread.

Only dinner option at the caves & we want to catch the 6:30 ranger led tour so this is dinner. The menu has 8 choices, there are more adult beverages to choose from. We were seated on a boring restaurant with a view of the parking lot. What made the grill were the poster size black & white photographs about the caves on the walls. Our waitress seemed surprised that we are sharing a flatbread pizza for dinner & starting with side salads. The warm rolls were delicious. The salad was Costco greens with a pouch of Kens dressing. The pizza had pesto, tomatoes & cheese. Dinner for 2 with tax & tip was $22

Sweet Emma hooked us up with some great service at opening of the Mammoth Cave NP restaurant. Cool historic pictures on the wall and nice Christmas decorations. Best service ever at a NPS restaurant - thanks Emma. We enjoyed a great country breakfast - including eggs scrambled with cheese and some thick country bacon & spicy sausage.

This place is such a hidden gem. Tucked away off the beaten path, it has that cozy, "you almost…read moredon't want to tell anyone about it" kind of charm. The space is definitely on the smaller side, which adds to the intimate feel, but I can only imagine it gets pretty tight during peak hours--especially since they don't take reservations. That said, everything else more than makes up for it. The service was genuinely excellent--attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. And the food? Absolutely worth it. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. If you're thinking about going, I'd definitely recommend timing your visit to avoid the rush. It's a small spot, but one that delivers a big experience.

The menu is extensive so it took a minute for us to order. Everyone had water to drink. Our server brought us some fresh yeast rolls that were hot and tasty. We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer for the table. They were excellent served with sour cream and horseradish and ranch that we had to ask for additionally. Everyone ordered something different. Orders included: 1. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, and cole slaw. I only tried their cole slaw which leans more to a vinegar base and I prefer a sweeter slaw. There were 4 pieces of chicken. 2. Meatloaf with mashed potato and gravy and cornbread. Cornbread was a bit dry, meatloaf was ok. 3. Mushroom and bacon smothered chicken, onion rings and cornbread. Person said the chicken was a bit dry, the mushrooms and bacon saved the dish. Onion rings were good, crispy and hot. 4. Chicken and dumplings with cornbread. Folks that tasted them said they make better at home, nothing special. 5. Rueben sandwich with corn pudding. Sandwich was just ok. Bread was too thick for my taste, beef was tender. Corn pudding was excellent, hot, creamy. Service was good, resturant quaint, street parking. The train rolling by, blowing the whistle while we ate was a nice touch, although it rattled the building. After we ate, got to go containers and paid we shopped at the adjacent and across the street shops to the resturant. That was fun. After shopping we headed back to the restaurant for coffee and dessert. Again each of us had a different dessert item which included: coconut cream pie, butterscotch pie, derby pie, chocolate sundae cake and the house specially, butter cream pie. All were pretty good. We all liked the house speciality pie, it was super sweet, creamy with a good crust. Coconut pie was a favorite as was the chocolate sundae cake. The derby pie was way too chocolatey for most of us. It is a cute little little resturant with a homey feel that will take you back in time. One of those places where you should try but then say, did that, don't necessarily need to revisit.
