[[HIGHLIGHT]]Spencer's is such a fun coffee shop in a college town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You'll see plenty of WKU students here as well as locals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This shop is located downtown, but there's another shop closer to the highway that has a drive-thru and parking lot. I have not been to that location. I came here twice, and I had a nitro cold brew with sugar free vanilla as well as a hot black sesame matcha with oat milk. The cold brew was smooth and strong- perfect for powering through a workday on a warm day. The black sesame matcha didn't taste "green" and stayed warm, a powerful punch to get through the afternoon. They also have unique non-coffee drinks; my coworker got an iced drink called "Huckleberry Ben" that seemed interesting. The prices are so low here. You can get two specialty coffee drinks for under $15, and that includes tax and tip. The baristas were nice, and the coffee shop is a fun place to hang out if you want to work or chill. I don't know why anyone would drink chain coffee in Bowling Green with Spencer's around. I can see why everyone loves it, and I will be back too! read more

We visited the Fountain Square Park and ended up stopping here unexpectedly because I needed to use the restroom. The shared restroom setup was a little awkward, but honestly, I'm glad it brought me in because it felt like discovering a hidden gem in Bowling Green. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere inside is amazing; cozy, stylish, and definitely a great spot for photos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it's close to WKU, there were lots of students and staff studying and working, which gave the place a really nice local energy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The woman taking our coffee order was incredibly kind and friendly. She was so genuinely thankful when I left a tip, which made the experience feel even warmer. Great coffee, great vibe, and a perfect little stop while exploring Bowling Green. Food is absolutely amazing, made-to-order, and timely. They have dine-in and carry out options. The coffee is phenomenal, no matter what your preference. By far the best matcha latte I have ever had, the mocha latte is superb as well! Downtown during the spring and fall semester get a little busy, however they move through orders fairly quickly. Staff are great, kind and considerate. Spencer's is a BG staple and stands atop the most prestigious cafe experiences I have had to date. I felt really bad that it was so small considering what we paid. I tried to give him half of my burrito, but he said it was fine. He usually only complains if it's something catastrophic. Superb neighborhood coffee shop with a surprising amount of space. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon and although it was busy, there were still open seats. Their coffee is quite good, solid value for the price. WiFi is fast and free (my favorite) and the atmosphere is great for studying, homework, etc. A long walk or short drive from WKU, with parking available out front. BG's downtown is definitely worth checking out if you're new here, lots of cute little shops and restaurants. read more

Spencer's is a BG staple and we love it here. I used to come to Spencer's all the time in high school - it was the coolest spot to be, acting grown up with friends over coffee. It's expanded a lot in size and locations since then, but the overall cool and cozy vibe is still the same. I feel transported into something akin to the Friends coffee shop when I enter - it's just missing a couch! They sell a variety of hot and cold drinks, and also offer a beer selection. There is ample indoor seating and outlets, so it's a great place to grab a table and work. There is also outdoor seating in the back, and restrooms. I also noticed they sell PopWorks popsicles, merch, pastries, and a large selection of breakfast and lunch options! I have fond memories of their grilled cheese - the cheese pull is insane!! Most recently I tried the iced horchata latte, a summertime special, and it was perfectly cinnamony. The staff is always super friendly. The frappes are also good. This is by far my favorite location, even though the convenience of a drive through makes the bypass location a 1st choice for others. Parking is free at the square. Expect it to be pretty busy when school is in session, but the line goes quick!! Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Bowling Green. read more
