Stopped in just for the Smoked Bourbon Old Fashioned last night. Bartender was super, even created an Apple Smash bourbon drink for us on the fly! Ambiance is always comfortable and friendly. We didn't eat but the people seated next to us at the bar ordered the Steakhouse Pappardelle Stroganoff with fettuccine and they said it was amazing. Ok. So we're back for dinner tonight. Our server, Travis, is friendly and attentive. Brought out rolls that tasted freshly made, a little sweet/salty that was very tasty. Entrees: the Stroganoff is delicious. Steak is tender, not overcooked, fettuccine tastes homemade and cooked Al dente; and the mushrooms and sauce are delicious! Perfect amount of garlic and creaminess. The Bourbon glazed pork chop was made to order-gluten, soy and dairy free per our request. It was thick and juicy. We have not been disappointed with this restaurant and can't wait for our next visit! read more

Man, oh man, where do I even start... We did go in with a very large party of 15 but I should've got a clue when there was like a kid working at the hostess stand. I really wish our server would've said hey it's only me and a bartender working. We were there for five hours a lot of people ordered ribeyes. They were so salty and overcooked. None of the guys ate any of it. We actually took it home for the dog.. The only thing I can say that was positive is the server really tried, but he should've communicated better. We would've picked somewhere else to go as we didn't have time for a five hour dinner. I wish I had something positive to say, but the food was atrocious after a hard day work we really hoped for a nice meal, but we just didn't get it here! read more

Went on Saturday for lunch. Located in the city center of Leitchfield. No lunch specials are offered on the weekends. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Food was pretty good. Had pizzas and salads. Took a while for a table of 8 to get the food after ordering. Staff said they had returned to the original owners. Their menu had a lot of items that they didn't have. Be interested to return for dinner and steak. read more

We have had several meals at Steak & Stone in the past year and they have all been excellent, food, service, atmosphere. I have that danged Alpha-Gal allergy to red meat and this restaurant has many, many options for folks in that situation. We come from Cincinnati and this restaurant stacks up to any of similar price-point in our fair city, highly recommend the efforts made here to bring some fine dining / good eating to the Lakes region. read more

We ordered takeout from here on a Wednesday evening at 4 when they reopen for dinner (they are open from 11-2pm and 4 - 9pm). The hostess who took our order was pleasant, and the employees we interacted with while waiting for our order were very nice and sociable. Food was ready in roughly the 20 minutes they predicted, so all-in-service was pleasant and prompt. We ordered the Cajun chicken & shrimp pasta (which my wife really enjoyed), the Mozz appetizer (which we both thought was awesome), and the American Bison (which I thought had a great flavor (and definitely recommend), although I ordered it medium-well and it was cooked well-done. I definitely recommend ordering it at a lower temp to maximize the flavor profile. Being a visitor on vacation, I never ate here before and in my experience, getting a steak actually cooked medium is not a given. So I err on the side of caution with unknown restaurants, which worked against me in this case.) I also ordered Brussel sprouts but didn't receive them with my order. They did however provide a lot of fries (they include 2 sides with steak entrees) so I wasn't as disappointed as I would have been otherwise. read more

First time dining here and S&S did not disappoint in any aspect. Excellent food and service along with a casual atmosphere. They have a nice selection of bourbons at good prices on each pour as well as some very crafty house made cocktails. Our food was excellent...I should note we were part of a large group, all ordering steaks and all were well seasoned and cooked perfectly to order....highly recommend topping them with chefs butter!! Our waitress Emma was super friendly and took excellent care of our party. We will definitely join S&S again for dinner when we're back in town! read more

Food was delicious and service was excellent. Every one was having a smile and made drinks to come back for. The smoked old fashioned was delicious. Bar tender was our server and she was knowledgeable about bourbon and how to make my husband's drink to his taste. You will enjoy a nice time here. read more

We had a great time at Steak and Stone. Service, food, and atmosphere were all top-notch! We got the Ribeye served with whipped potatoes and walnut spinach salad, filet mignon served with Brussel sprouts and truffle fries, and the kids both got the steak picanha frites. Their new starter "beef and blooms" disappeared before we were able to get a picture! read more

went last week. My first "16oz Ribeye" was neither 16oz or a Ribeye. Was overcooked big time and was half fat. Got a new one that was half fat and raw (and cold) in the middle. Inedible. Wife got Picanha. Ordered medium well. Was rare. Sent back. New one was ok. Waitress was embarrassed foodcwas so bad but didn't seemed surprised. Bottle of wine was $30 on one menu...same bottle $34 on wine list. Manager NEVER came to table to ask about terrible food. Was election night 9n town and he was too intrested with his friends to care about what his crew was sending out. Bread and steaks had to be from Wal Mart. NO quality control read more

I have been disappointed in this restaurant the past two times my family and I have eaten. Steaks have been chewy and very hard to eat. Presentation has been better in the past than it is today.. food does not come out all at the same time.Chicken Alfredo was chewy and not Alfredo sauce at all. There was a black spot in my potato. And shrimp was undercooked. This restaurant is not gonna last very long. The staff and management are not concerned at all. They will tell you to your face that they are concerned. But I don't buy it. I would not be surprised if this restaurant doesn't last for another year. I wouldn't waste your money on food and service. It's not worth it. read more

Came here with a group for a special occasion. Waitress had horrible attitude. All of our steaks were undercooked. Never took the time to refill waters. Do not recommend. read more

I was excited to try it out since they have made some changes. Service was great and the server was very friendly. Hubby had steak and Tuscan potatoes. He says the steak was good but the potatoes were very salty. Our appetizer was the new shrimp in a sauce. I wish the shrimp were peeled- too messy to eat. They were also undercooked. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken. Chicken was excellent but the pasta was cold. Ugh- I really want this place to be successful but they need to have better quality control. We do not have many option so I am praying they listen to constructive feedback and adjust! read more

If you haven't tried the smoked pimento cheese appetizer you are missing out! It's not something I would have ordered myself, I'm not a pimento cheese fan, but I went with a friend and she ordered it for the table. Now it is my go to appetizer! And can we talk about Sarah! She is so amazing if you are lucky enough to get her or Peyton taking care of you, I promise your experience will be top notch! read more

A trip to Leitchfield downtown across from the old courthouse the Steak and Stone restaurant is a repeat but it was great again. They serve lunch from 11 am to 2:00 pm Central time which is noon 'till 3:00 our time. That late lunch for us works well for us for health reasons. They offer a very reasonable price of $11.99 for 9 choices that include a one side. Last time I got fried catfish and Karen got cod, both very good. This time we both ordered a baked fettuccine with chicken and cheese sauce that came in a personal size cast iron skillet. It was sooo delicious! We also got a side salad and roll. They also make their own salad dressings which are delicious as well. read more

We stopped on our way through on a road trip for lunch. They had a lunch menu with 12 choices for $11.99 including rolls and a side. We had the fried green tomato appetizer which was fantastic. I had the chicken Carolyn and my friend had the steak. The food was very good and a big serving so ended up with take home boxes. Out waitress was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stop here again. read more

Overall, still the nicest restaurant in town. However, if I am going to pay $30 for a steak, the least the chef could do would be to season it on both sides before cooking it. They did not. Also, with a natural gas grill, most of the external flavor was from the gas. The internal temperature was spot on. One of our party of 5 ordered a ribeye, so one can expect a bit of fat. However, there was so much gristle that she could barely cut it or find any edible pieces. The waitress did offer to replace it, but our diner declined, as she was nearly full from the salad and asparagus. The waitress gave us a free dessert to compensate, but we did pay full menu price for that meal. My salad was just iceberg with a little radicchio for color, which is pretty low end lettuce for a nice restaurant. My Brussels sprouts were allegedly cooked with Balsamic glaze and parmigiana, but neither one was very obvious. Lastly, we were in the front room with two other tables of diners. It was so loud, we could not hear each other across the table. This was made worse by the fact that two of us wear hearing aids and we still couldn't hear each other. Looking around the room, there are nothing but hard, sound-reflecting surfaces, with no cloth or other material to absorb the sound. One of the tables had four children, and their moms were talking soooo loudly to be heard over the kids. The noise level was deafening throughout the meal. If I go back, I will know to not expect so much from a meal that cost over $200. read more

Steak and Stone just isn't making it in my opinion. Our last visit was terrible. All the food came out at different times, my wife's pizza wasn't even what she ordered, and my dish never showed up at all. I honestly felt bad for our server, she kept apologizing, but the problems were clearly not her fault. Drinks took far longer than they should have, and the whole experience was extremely frustrating. A business at this stage shouldn't still be struggling with basic service. This is the kind of chaos you expect on opening night, not well into operations. Unfortunately, I probably won't be back. read more

Steak & Stone - Drinks at the bar before dinner - Steakhouses Near Me - Leitchfield, Kentucky

The place is very quaint. They seated us promptly and brought us bread while we ordered drinks. I ordered a glass of wine and water and my husband ordered a soft drink. We got the water and soft drink fairly quick, then our server took our order. I ordered the filet with blue cheese along with garlic and herb mashed potatoes and asparagus, my husband ordered the New York strip, loaded baked potato and side salad. I had to ask for my wine after our server came back near our table. We got our entrees fairly quick. But my husband never got his salad. I mentioned it when they brought our food and also to the server, but she looked puzzled. Although my medium filet steak was a bit undercooked and bloody and without the blue cheese, it was hot and tasty. The asparagus was also nice. But the garlic and herb mashed potatoes had zero flavor. My husband's NY strip and loaded baked potato was also very good. My husband never got his salad, so I asked the server to box it to go. She did so, along with comping our meal $10. She was very apologetic. We tipped her 20%. Would we go back? Yes. But would not order the garlic and herb mashed potatoes. The steaks were very good. The ambiance lovely. read more

My husband and I visited for our anniversary. Nice atmosphere, old building with exposed brick. Great service! Our waitress went above and beyond even asked if we were celebrating an occasion and offered us complimentary dessert. The "mozz" appetizer was delicious and the ribeye steaks were great! I also liked the s&s salad with their house dressing. We stayed in the Alexander Hotel just above the restaurant for the night! Highly recommend it also! Went back for lunch the next day. Their chicken tenders were good, but their Psycho Philly was delicious and HUGE! Very reasonably priced for lunch! read more

We visited Steak and Stone on 9/8/25 to celebrate our wedding anniversary (46th). A friend accompanied us for a total of 3 in the group for dinner. The restaurant has a front dining room and another in the rear where the bar is located. We requested table seating so we were seated in the rear bar dining area, which was fine. Our server was a young lady who was also the bartender for the evening. She was outstanding. Timely service, answered our questions, and overall just did a really good job of taking care of us. The food: Wife and I ordered filets, our friend had a ribeye. The steaks were correctly cooked and were very good, but not quite what you might get at Jeff Ruby's or Malones. For Leitchfield, they were pretty good. Sides were very good, as were the hot rolls. Only disappointment was the carrot appetizer, which sounded great on the menu but in reality was not what I was expecting. Can not recommend that item. All in all, a good experience. This is a great dining venue for Leitchfield and we will return I am sure. definitely recommended to try if you have not already done so. read more

Saw the ad on Facebook, sounded great and made a reservation for 6, we traveled an hour and arrived on time, we're seated immediately, ordered drinks and perused the menu, sounded wonderful, we ordered appetizers which were wonderful, fried green tomatoes which were very good, breaded jumbo shrimp, fabulous! The drinks arrived and we ordered entrees, in the meantime. we still had only half our silverware were offered no bread. The duck appetizers was sold out, they only had 2 glasses of our chosen wine, no real problem, ordered the buffalo, and prime rib all around which I highly recommend I asked for a peppermill ad was brought a cardboard set of salt and pepper! Loved the place but felt it was a little short on presentation! read more

Stopped in at this place when passing through. We sure are glad we did, food was really good.

This restaurant is a hidden gem located in Kentucky near the Mammoth Cave National Park area where there is little fine dining to be found. We enjoyed our prime rib and craft cocktails and were happy to escape the fast food alternatives. It is also a family friendly restaurant with a pizza oven on premises and a large menu--hence the Steak and Stone name. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is that our food came before the salad or drinks. It was a busy Friday night. read more

I've been here twice, both were very good experiences. They have some very delicious and unique cocktails. The steak is more equivalent to a high end steak house. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. It's fancy enough, but you don't feel uncomfortable in a hoodie and jeans either. Try it! read more

Steak & Stone - Special cocktail - Steakhouses Near Me - Leitchfield, Kentucky

It was a nice atmosphere, great waitress, very helpful accurate, had a nice choice of chef entrees and menu, unfortunately the kitchen cooks were just cooks, didn't meet the expectations of the items on the menu. The kitchen struggle to serve fresh hot that showed up at the table hot fresh, paid a pretty penny for cold baked potatoes and hard carrots. Suggestion to reduce the menu to what the cooks not chefs can accomplish or add a chef to the kitchen crew. Who ever made the menu didn't realized what it would take from preparing, start, finish dish. The waitress did everything to make it a nice evening , it wasn't the first time this happen, she kept apologizing, I can understand her aggravation in the cooks and the quality of the food, she replaced cold food. May try it again but will order something little less on the menu in hopes that a hamburger is easier to prepare than a steak. read more

I was really excited to try this place out. We heard food ok, service not great and orders were wrong. Well out wait wa long to get in (no problem). Appetizer on pretzel & beer cheese was really good. Salads we not impressive. 2 of 3 steaks were right & really good. Side of Mac & cheese and green beans were not good. Mac & cheese was dry. Green beans were not done. The 3rd steak was a ribeye with blue cheese, it came as a cold sirloin with mushrooms & onions. When sent back it returned as. Sirloin with onions & mushrooms scraped to the side & blue cheese added. Eventually it was corrected & the steak was really good. The green beans had still not yet arrived when we asked & the came, they were super hot but not done unfortunately. We were brought the bacon bourbon pimento cheese and it was really good. Our server and the manager apologized & ending up comping the appetizers & the one steak dinner. It was literally over 3 hours all in. It seemed like a lot of people there working but all a bit lost. We will likely give it another shot eventually but a Saturday during lake season was rough. Also it is really loud inside as someone else mentioned read more

The place is not a five star restaurant. It tries very hard. Some of your servers appear to be family oriented very young and age. Very, Very disappointed!!! When I saw the website and family had talked about how people were raving about this new place, I was excited. We were a family of 13, there celebrating a birthday. 1st Food: Nothing at all to rave about, tea was good, the steak was cooked perfect but NO flavor! And my firm philosophy is a good steak shouldn't have to have sauce! This needed sauce. #2 Service: TERRIBLE! A group and we couldn't seem to have 1 dedicated server! Oh and don't even get me started on the fact that apparently NOBODY in the restaurant was good enough to get the undivided attention that 1 couple got! The one that should have been our server, kept constantly going to this couples table waiting on them and standing around chit chatting. Of course it seemed several of the staff were overly enamored with this couple. So this restaurant definitely gets a F for service and staff! #3: Atmosphere: very loud, very noisy and cramped space. This place is too pricey to get tasteless food, BAD service and a crowded, noisy environment!! read more

I have been here twice, fist time was better that the second, everyone is supper nice BUT their reservation concept sucks, they loose a lot of money with walkins. They should not schedule everyone at the top of the hour or half hour, no shows make tables sit empty while people wait that are walking in. 2nd, the waitresses need a little training, your appetizers should come out pretty quickly and our waitress took forever to come back for our order. We finished out appetizer way before the food came, there was no bread available, they were out. We were the first ones there when they opened. This should never happen for an upscale place like this. FOOD WAS GOOD BUT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT, with service and food being served not cold. read more

We were so excited for a high end restaurant in the community. Our first visit I asked for a Prosecco with a splash of cranberry, the bar person or mixologist came to our table and wanted to know if Prosecco was a vodka? We ordered steak medium rare and they were well done. Our second visit, food was not good, their specialty Mac n cheese cold and dry, salmon no flavor. When seating us in the bar area, we had to go through the servers station which was congested and wait for the servers to place their order and carry out food. I will say the servers were professional and very apologetic on our dinners. Also, we went on a day for specials to come and find out were for evening or Sunday all day, I made the comment they need to advertise that on FB. For the price, we will probably not be back. Again I hate for the community but if you are to charge $$$ the food needs to be great! read more
