Country cooking! Great staff! Clean place. You can choose off the menu or oder the meat and sides as shown on the chalkboard. We got off the highway to find lunch as we didn't want fast food. The meal wasn't fast food. The only downside was it took over an hour to get our food. I had to ask a few times as we were traveling and needed to get back in the road. I had a hamburger without the bun and a side of beets and broccoli salad my husband loved the steak sandwich! My brother liked the beef tips over rice. .

My runny omelette.

I ordered a cheese omelette and when I received it, the inside was RUNNY and undercooked. Already, this is unacceptable. I then tried the pancakes and it tasted weirdly like fish? The toast and the service was good though. Overall, I will not be coming to this horrid establishment ever again.

Home style meal with fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes

Local spot with the highest ratings in town. They feature a home style meal with choice of one entree and two sides. I chose fried chicken, mashed potatoes (w/o gravy) and green beans. The crust was crispy and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sides were okay but nothing special. My husband ordered a chicken wrap which he was very disappointed with. He felt the chicken was rubbery with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Very underwhelming. It seemed like all the workers were high school students which is nice. And there was a bulletin board where you could take an envelope for someone who needs a meal. Such a nice touch. Ambience is basic diner from years ago. In fact, there were framed copies of old newspapers. The nearest one to us had a headline about President Roosevelt dying of a cerebral hemorrhage. I'm afraid that I wouldn't recommend for dinner. Breakfast may be a different story.

Beef Tips (rare) and rice, mashed potatoes, green beans, & dinner roll $12!

Best homestyle food I've ever had in a restaurant. Comfort food of home cooking with out all the clean up. Prices are great and portions are large.

The food was nasty. The service was worse. Then they charged me twice. I would recommend cleaning the girl.

Traveling & decided to go off oath for local lunch. Service was very good & personable. Hubby had…read moreburger & fries, both were very good. I had pulled pork & Mac & cheese. Not to my liking. It was packed with locals so maybe I ordered wrong thing. Place reminds me of great grandma's kitchen lots of older items & vinyl table clothes.

Listen. What a wild place. We were in town on a mini vacation and this place BLEW ME AWAY... for…read moresome reasons you could expect. And others you wouldn't. Let's start with the expected: chicken fried chicken was amazing. The loaded fry appetizer also amazing. Sides were great. Mac and cheese and green beans both well above average to me. The waitresses were all so helpful and sweet. But let's talk about the other amazing part. This place feels right out of a post apocalyptic movie! If you've ever wanted to feel "out of this world" or in a community fenced off from the zombie apocalypse and struggling to make you feel some normalcy in your life... THIS IS THE PLACE. My goodness I loved it. An old couple in the corner was playing some Garth Brooks covers to set the mood. A "straight from the 80s arcade room" in the back had some flashing lights shine through the doorway into the main dining room. Also... this place was packed. The dusty parking lot did not have a single spot for us open and we had to wait on a parking spot. No wait when we got inside luckily. But back to the post apocalyptic vibe... I really can't explain it much better. The 80s arcade... the wood paneling on the walls. The old toy heavy machinery and trains lining the walls. The smell of the food thickening the air. Even the staff... all unique as can be!!! Don't forget the overstock Christmas plates they pulled out for us to use!!! Highly recommend this place for the food... but if you've ever wanted to experience what a restaurant would be like after the zombies take over... Give yourself a treat and come here!!!
