I had to provide an update about this shop and the type of service they provide. To keep things short I was given the run around and not listened to by dealership service shops regarding issues about our Jeep. It was obvious it was a computer, wiring, or electric issue BUT got charged for a misdiagnosis from a shop that wanted to tear an entire engine down. Which they would've done and the issue would've just popped right back up 1-2 days after leaving the shop. I came to this shop for a 2nd opinion but to be honest if I knew better should've been the 1st opinion. They listened to what the issue was in detail and what took 5 days for a misdiagnosis at a service center we're able to figure what was really happening in 2 hours. As a woman, I always feel like most auto mechanics view us females as bags of money and attempt to rip us off because of our lack of knowledge. Finding an honest & straightforward mechanic is a diamond in the rough and I am relieved and grateful to have found Guillermo! My 2020 Honda Metropolitan moped hit 1k miles and it was time for an oil change. I used Yelp's "quoting" feature to gather estimates from nearby shops. Other shops quoted me $90+ packaged with additional miscellaneous services such as "drive service" or "check electrical system", using fancy terminology like "fasteners". Outrageous considering an oil change for my Lexus sedan costs a fraction of the price! My boyfriend--someone who is quite knowledgable about vehicles, reviewed the quotes and had a strong feeling that these other shops were blatantly trying to take advantage of me, likely because they could see who I was via my Yelp profile, and probably assumed that I would be an easy target to rip off. I had also done my research that the average cost of a moped oil change should be around $30-$60, and Bubba's Performance had quoted me a healthy number in that range. In addition to putting in a special order for the specific type of oil I needed for my scooter, the staff is highly professional and communication is smooth. I have a 2005 Volvo S60 2.5T I ask how much was the labor cost for the brake pad change (because I bought my own) and it was $300 just to change both front and rear (That doesn't include tax and other fees that they may charge). I asked for a quote for "Just Tires" and they gave me $230 with included the parts and labor, "Big Brand Tire & Service" quote me for front and rear for a total of $150, and 3 more places that offer less than Bubba's did. Which I decline to Guillermo (Owner). "why would you keep looking ( cheaper ? ) Good ain't cheap and cheap ain't good" - Guillermo B (Owner). The STUPIDEST thing I ever heard! Good can be affordable. David was responsive and friendly! Fair pricing (got quotes from other shops--Bubba's was the most affordable for the quality.) I needed new brake pads and rotors. They were honest about what needed to be done, and they also didn't push when I said I probably couldn't afford to replace all four sets at once, so they told me that the front were the most important for now. I recently went to the dealership (stealership) to get my oil change and transmission fluid done. The service manager told me my brakes were down to 3mm and I needed brakes real soon. I was charged a ridiculous price to install and replace the brakes. I didn't feel comfortable as I knew I wanted a second opinion. I checked Yelp and found Bubba's. The owner, Guillermo, inspected the brakes and told me I still had 7mm and 5mm left on the front and rear brake pads. Nevertheless, he was up front and honest saying I was good and didn't need the service done at this time. He could have easily done the service and got paid. However, due to my not needing the service, I paid nothing for a quick check on the condition of my brakes. This is why I will trust and go to Bubba's for ALL of my car needs going forward. I learned about Bubbas after getting my oil changed at Valvoline because I mentioned that needed my back hatch door fixed, and I'm so glad I listened to their recommendation. I also needed my brakes fixed so I called and set an appointment. They were great on keeping me updated on the problem, and when the problem was worse than suspected, they told me everything that was happening and still kept to the quote they gave when first finding the big problems. I can definitely tell that my brakes feel better after going to them. They were super nice and I appreciate them taking the time to explain everything in layman's terms.
