I've eaten here before however the service this night was not great at all. We had to flag down other employees as our server only appeared when we first arrived, when the food came out, and when payment was due. The majority of us didn't get a drink refill and spent half the meal without a drink. We were seated next to the restrooms, one of the two restrooms was a completely disaster and absolutely unsanitary. We watched multiple employees use that restroom and not bother to attempt to clean it and/or close it. The food was good however the level of service left a bad taste in our mouth. Now if u want Lobster, steaks, and fancy food, skip this restaurant...but if u want hot and a lot of seafood, come-on down...the food is always hot and large portioned...my favorite is the shrimp or clams or mmmmm the filet of flounder. And I always have to order their yummy hush-puppies! They are so friendly, and slays making sure u are taken care of. One of the perks is, they bring a huge squeeze bottle of tarter sauce and horseradish sauce. And the tarter sauce is fantastic. I always bring company to Bubba's bc I know they will get more they expect...u can come dressed in Shorts, t-shirts, or even bathing suit tops, with a pair of shorts..flip-flops are a must... When we do go my wife and I always get something different so we can share. My son 37years old get the max platter of seafood combo...he loves a lot of everything. I guess now bc of Covid-19, that they must address and implant rules set by the CDC and the State. We have not been since the pandemic began and do not trust state Nd national government to protect us. So by all means call them First...better yet, just order the-out and return to ur dwelling and enjoy in peace and safety...so go to Bubbas to keep them going... read more

Food wasn't bad. Food wasn't great. You can tell its frozen not fresh kind of gig... On the beach... hmmm beyond me. But... Basic seafood orders and reasonably priced. What was bad was my waitress and the way she handled my complaint on the fried oysters! I repeat. I had a complaint about the fried oysters. UNDERCOOKED SLIMY GROSS. The oysters were slimy and cold in the middle and almost appeared to be a bad batch... Either way, I've had quite a few orders of fried oysters at various restaurants and I have NEVER seen fried oysters look like these did. Her response? A robust & stern-like server who says... "That's how we make em". Argued that I was in the wrong and suggested making another batch! I said, HELL NO. & yah yeah yeah.... I'm aware that people order them "raw". These were to be fried.... I demanded it to be removed from bill more than 4 times before she FINALLYmade it happen. Stubborn! I will say this..... the place had a server devoted to fixing before selling out. Everything was solid: the crab cakes, grilled mahi and blackened grouper were all very good while the hush puppies were excellent. I'm not a big fan of deep-fried food (too easy to mask the flavors and not so good for me either) but there was a nice variety of fried, grilled and blackened choices. Most of the food will be served in baskets so if you want plates, bring your own. Beer was cold with a reasonable bottled selection; however, I was a bit surprised that nothing was on tap. Service was excellent and accommodating to our needs. A few outside tables which was nice in these Covid-times. Nothing fancy here but a nice authentic, local vibe. Harley's are optional. read more

We had a great experience at Bubba's. They were busy, but our waitress, Makayla, was on top of things! She provided excellent service to us. Our 7 yr old changed his mind on his dinner choice after our order had been placed. We asked if it could be changed, she quickly rushed to make the change. We were willing to pay for both choices, if it was too late, but she made the change with no problem. Our food was all hot when it arrived to the table and was very tasty! We had lunch here one day during our vacation. The inside is fairly small so we had to split up our party of 10. Most enjoyed their food but my cod in my cod basket were fried very hard and wasn't as enjoyable. Bubba's is a great place to visit while in MB. From the atmosphere to the food, its all great. Literally 100 yards from the ocean. You can sit and enjoy the sounds and feel the breeze as you wait for your table. The food is also amazing. I have ate here 4 times. Always good very consistent. They have great prices on kids meals and quality food. Have several swings downstairs if there is a wait. The place is small in comparison to most restaurants. Because the food is good there is usually a wait even in the off season. The chili glazed shrimp for appetizer hands down some the best shrimp I have ever eaten. The reason for 4 stars. I ordered the fisherman's platter which you get 4 choices all which were very good. I thought the platter would have given you more food but it did not. Platter was same size as less expensive platters with the same amount of food. I had planned to share with my 13 year old son, a little light for both of us. Tarter and cocktail sauces are very good. The coleslaw ranked in top 5 I have ever ate. The Clam chowder was very underwhelming, honestly tasted like it was served from an aluminum can and it was barely warm. Lots of fried stuff on the menu which we expected but my fried shrimp basket was just 'okay'. The hush puppies were good but honey butter on almost anything is pretty good. The food here is fast food quality at best . We ordered hush puppy basket and fried pickles. The pickles were hot and came out fast and the hush puppies were cold. The quickly brought out a a fresh hot basket when we asked. The captains platter was really disappointing the clam strips were obviously pre made frozen and lacking in flavor, the fried "grouper" was definitely not grouper but easily the best thing on the plate. The gulf shrimp were ok and the oysters were ok. The few fries on the plater were cold and soft. I would definitely not recommend. Go to captain d'a or LJS for the same quality foos for a fraction of the price. All you can eat catfish! Yes please. It was incredibly delicious, delivered fast, friendly, and with tasty seasoned fries and cole slaw. It was my first restaurant adventure since the covid shutdowns of dune-in and dine-out services. When we are in the area we like to try the smaller, independently owned restaurants vs. the big franchise stores. We stopped in Saturday afternoon.
