The Sloppy Bubba came packed with meat!! Mixed pulled brisket and pulled pork made this sandwich to die for, the meat was so tender and juicy I wanted more!! The pulled chicken sandwich was a little dry with a nice smoked taste, after adding their BBQ sauce which was absorbed but the chicken, the meat became tender and juicy. Let's just say, I didn't leave the place hungry Bubbas does barbecue right you! You must stop in if you're looking for some good slow cooked barbecue. We stopped in today after seeing reviews online. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. The wait person was very friendly. The food on the other hand was below average. We had the two meat plate with brisket and chicken. Got 4 very thin and dry pieces for the brisket and a very small thigh and leg. Paid extra for the brisket. The St. Louis ribs were delicious, the brisket was super tender but I can't decide if i liked the flavor much. Didn't love the chicken. Bbq sauce was tasty and not too intense and they bring you an extra side. The Mac and cheese was the absolute star and I wish I got two sides instead of beans. The beans were fine though! We ate dinner here and it was so good. We came back for breakfast and it was even better. For dinner I had pulled pork and brisket sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese. We chose Texas toast as our bread and ask for only one slice. The meat melted in your mouth and the barbecue sauce was just delightful. You can smell the smoker from the parking lot. The macaroni and cheese was good and creamy but just so so. I should've ordered the coleslaw. For breakfast my husband and I both ordered chicken fried steak. I had mine with a side of grits, which were very good. The chicken fried steak was out of this world. It had a very crunchy crust, and the meat was tender. They smothered it with the best gravy ever. This restaurant is moderately priced compared to restaurants in downtown Jackson. If I am ever back in Jackson, I'll be back. Service was above and beyond. read more

One would think that Jackson would be a bastion of barbecue. Nope. And Bubba's Bar-B-Que is a prime example of mediocrity. Located in a strip mall just outside of the old downtown of Jackson, the ambiance is reminiscent of an upscale, western Denny's, neither cozy, nor warm. Served on a brioche bun or Texas toast, the supposedly quarter-pound pulled pork sandwich ($16) had hardly enough meet to cover the bun, and what little pork was included was dry and chewy. The accompanying barbecued beans were good, if a little too cloying. The St. Louis ribs ($32 for one pound) were fatty and tough with a paucity of smoke flavor: a sure sign of fast, non-traditional cooking.. Service was fast and friendly. There is a full bar as well as a few local brews on tap. There's no doubt that food in Jackson is expensive; Bubba's is no exception. What is less forgivable is the lack of quality for the price. read more

After a day hiking, and after sticker shock of eating in the town of Jackson, we decided to go to Bubba's because it was next to where we are staying. The food was outstanding. I got half barbecue chicken, which was delicious. My wife got a Cobb salad and my son got brisket pulled pork. Everything was wonderful. The server was a nice young man who did a great job and the overall restaurant was very clean. if you're looking for a good meal without breaking the bank, which is pretty common here in Jackson, this is a great place. read more

Don't listen to the negative comments, this place has delicious food. We came on a Sunday for lunch & both the pulled pork & smoked sausage were very moist, smoky & tasty. Their BBQ sauce does have more tang than sweet but still flavourful. Glad it was served on the side though as you don't need a lot. Mac & Cheese was creamy topped with a dusting of bacon & tiny onion pieces. Both our lunch choices were served with 2 sides & a big piece of Texas toast. It was not too busy and we were seated right away, had our drink orders taken and were given menus. We both decided to try the breakfast burrito but substituted salsa verde for the Spanish salsa. We are both big fans of green sauce so that was perfect. Our meals arrived in a timely fashion, looked delicious and tasted awesome. We both really enjoyed the salsa verde on the breakfast burritos. Our first stop in Jackson Hole Wyoming trying out the BBQ. I really want to give this place 4 stars so let's say it's 3 1/2. The salad bar was fantastic.. one of the best I've seen. They had so many good selections of veggies, salads and even a bread pudding. All were fresh and delicious. Parking was easy and the prices were ok for the area. We were seated right away. There were three of us traveling together and we had dinner plans so this was to be a small late lunch because we were starving. The salad bar was $6 extra if you ordered a meal. One friend ordered the smoked pork chop with a double order of zucchini and squash and got the extra salad bar. I split a pulled pork sandwich and ordered the extra salad bar as well. This restaurant raises and smokes their own pork. We were disappointed with the pork chop. It was a thin slice of smoked ham with a bone. The pulled pork sandwich was ok. We sent back the zucchini and squash in exchange for the coleslaw. It wasn't cooked well enough and we didn't like the spices they used. The coleslaw was ok. Our server was very accommodating . For this reason and the salad bar I am giving the 3 1/2. I would definitely come again for this. read more

I preferred the brisket over the pulled pork. My only flaw was the menu pricing was not up to date and confusing and the food was kind of cold.
