1/26/20 Came here for dinner as I try to find non-chain type restaurants as I am traveling through for work. Found this place was open late and had more than fried food options. So I came for healthy food options but ended up having a beer and a ribeye ‍. Although, I did have steamed broccoli and a side salad as my sides. The food was great, as I had the ribeye that was marinated in espresso grounds and it was sweeter and perfectly cooked medium rare the way I like it. The staff was friendly and attentive even though they were closing soon. The atmosphere was fun and seems like a great place to watch sports. In Peoria if you look hard enough you can find some gems and I think Bubbas is one. Hidden back behind a few buildings and off a side street this building is a bit unsuspecting until you come up to it. The decor reminds me of a rock and roll Bubba Gumps. Concert flyers, beer signs, and strange metal animal art! They also highlighted local high school teams on one wall (Go Panthers!). Multitude of TVs plastered the walls and there is a separate bar area that's available. Something else I saw is you can call ahead to reserve your table and check in! The wife was craving salty so we got fried pickles, split the wings, and a pizza! Menu was extensive and food was pretty good overall! The pickles came out super crispy and still had a snap! They had the sour inside still and were some of the best I had experienced. The wings we split garlic parm and Buffalo. We both preferred the Buffalo to the parm, but they overall were good. A crispy outside and still warm and juicy inside! A solid order to start for sure. The pizza was bigger than expected. Buffalo chicken pizza. It seemed more like real rotisserie chicken in Buffalo sauce tossed and out on top. There were blue cheese crumbles and a drizzle of hot sauce over the top. A decent slice with good texture and flavor. We will definitely be back to explore the burgers and the sandwiches. I hear they are known for their burgers and have a nice variety. The one warning I would put out is the salt level of the food. Beware of saltiness here!! I'd encourage people to try this place for a bit of a funky lunch and a good menu variety! Back in Arizona from a few days of traveling. My parents mentioned that a place that was recommended to them by friends in Sun City had great burgers. We decided to go to Bubba 33. The place has a typical sports bar feel. A bar area, and a general dining area with TVs wallpapering the walls. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated. After a little delay, our server came over and took our orders. We started off with 2 appetizers. The onion rings and breaded shrimp. The onion rings were pretty good and not too greasy. The shrimp was really good! They have that sweet taste with a warmth of spice on them similar to what I've had on coconut shrimp elsewhere. I would recommend both. For the main dinner, I got a hamburger and my better half got the goat cheese pizza. My parents got a cheeseburger with fries and a Philly cheesesteak with fries. My mother liked her Philly cheesesteak. I ordered my burger medium and it was well past medium well. It was fairly dried out. The patty didn't seem anymore special than a typical bar burger. The tater tots were good. Not greasy at all. My better half didn't care for her pizza. The crust isn't thin and it's not thick... it's basically luck of the draw however it comes out (words from the server herself). It was an attempt at being trendy it seemed but lacked any type of flavor. The 4 dinners and 2 appetizers with drinks, ran about $85 before tip. The price was reasonable for the amount of food we got, but the flavor wasn't impressive along with my burger being dried out. I honestly wouldn't go out of my way to go back, neither of us were impressed (my 75yr old parents like it). If they wanted to go back I might be willing to try something else, but I wouldn't suggest a visit. read more

One of the best burgers that I ever had. I like a burger charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside which can be difficult to do correctly but the chef grilled my burger perfectly which is unusual. Honestly not super impressed. I got habanero burger and it was over cooked and super freaking greasy and not really all that spicy. I ordered the kids cheeseburger for my one year old and the underside of the bun was super burned making it hard for her to chew. I also got the strawberry mule with the extra "rocker" shot of rum but it was still really weak and watered down. Hubby liked his chicken tenders but I didn't try them so I can't speak to them. It's been a few years since I've been to Bubba's 33. My girlfriend and I decided to go for dinner since she had not been there. Ambiance: Way too loud. I can understand the loud music and TV's in the bar area, but not in the restaurant! When I go out to dinner, I like to TALK to my girlfriend, not yell across the table so she can hear me. Minus 1 star for that. Service: This was excellent. Our server, Kami, was friendly, pleasant, always had a smile on her face, and checked on us often. Food: Very good. I had the Fish & Chips, my girlfriend had the Chicken Tenders. We shared and everything was good, right down to the steamed broccoli. Miscellaneous: We checked in with YELP and received a Check-In Offer of a free appetizer. The manager would not honor it saying YELP was not authorized to make that offer. I have a problem with that. I'm willing to bet corporate has a YELP business account and the manager is not aware. If not, then the manager or corporate should be on the phone with YELP having it removed. Went to Bubba's 33 tonight with my family of 8. I ordered the chicken and shrimp chipotle pasta . Was eating it thinking I was eating the shrimp come to realize I was eating RAW chicken. Couldn't tell cause the chipotle sauce and thought it was the shrimp cause of the texture. Server came by and offered a free meal on a future visit. Uh no thanks how about a manager? Yeah he came by couldn't care less tried offering excuses like maybe it was the dye on the chicken they use! Dye? On chicken breast that's in pasta? Uh no then he says"well I guess the cook must of just overlooked it" well that's not good! That whole batch of pasta should be thrown out. By his attitude I'm sure it was not and others who ordered that meal tonight got the same raw chicken I did. $200 tab and the way this was handled was not ok. Came home and reported the unsafe food handling and negligence serving of poultry to the Maricopa health department and will continue to follow up till they do an investigation. read more

First time here and will be back! Absolutely loved the lasagna. My husband got a Sunshine Burger with tots and hot fries. He also had 6 raspberry chipotle wings. He ate it all. My waitress Leia was very attentive and super sweet. The manager came up to our table and gave us a coupon to come back and get a free appetizer just because it was our first time. Highly recommend and worth the wait to get in. We had a 10 minute wait on a Friday night compared to cheesecake factory at 75 minute wait. read more
