This place was a go to before the pandemic. To say that they have failed when it comes to their take out service is being kind. They have been the absolute worst of the restaurants we have used for take out during the pandemic. Restaurants in Mesquite overall are subpar at best so the bar is already set low but some of the restaurants have adapted well. The best thing to do is to no longer order from Bubba's but if you want to take the chance and order take out check everything a few times and be ready to wait while the staff comes and goes several times to bring you the different pieces of your order they missed or to tell you that what you are asking for is in your bag when it is clear it was not included. First time here. We always passed this place and thought it was a dud. The neon sign threw me off. I yelped a nearby place for Father's Day dinner and this spot said 4 STARS! What?! You gotta be kidding me! We came an hour before closing and our waitress, Kayla, was very ready and precise. She was also ready to go home (I would be too). I ordered the fish and chips (Atlantic cod). He ordered the double bacon burger. When I asked my very picky boyfriend how he liked the burger, he replied, "This is the best burger I've had since moving to Texas one year ago." That says more than you will ever know. My fish was delicious and HUGE! I'll definitely be having leftovers for lunch at work tomorrow. The margarita was DA BOMB!! I will be back for happy hour very, very soon. This is the only establishment that has survived this location. Food is good. Cold Beer. I personally haven't had any problem with any service the times I have been. Music videos playing with the music playing on various TVs throughout. Specials on Mondays and Wednesdays. Owned by Texas Roadhouse so you shouldn't be dissappointed. read more

Normally we have a good experience at this restaurant but today will be our last trip there for a long while. The waitress seemed attentive but still didn't have napkins or utensils after the app came. Had to finally ask for some. Then the food took 30 mins to arrive. ( fish sandwich and chicken/shrimp pasta) Not a big order. I was on lunch from work and then had no time to eat so we asked her to box it up. After arriving home my husband realized the shrimp in his pasta was raw!!! He couldn't eat it. Just.. wow. Still screwing is even after we left the place. So this is my review or story. I walked in, I was flabbergasted by the service of how friendly they were. I was lost at the menu, great choices and the prices were not bad. I liked the waiter, she was very engaging to the point, you wanted to come there just because everyone was friednly. She exlained the menu and told what to get and it makes you feel like you are welcomed. The food was amazing. The Fiesta Dip was something, it was unique, the cheese had great flavor and the nacho chips was flavored with something. Amazing good. Amazing food Amazing people I don't know how to say amazing I will update this after eating because the food is too good. I don't even know what to say or describe. I would give zero stars if I could. We walked in at 8:50 asking for a patio seat. We were told there was a 30 minute wait (even though there was only one other table there) . We finally got sat at 9:12. We sat. The waitress came out several times to help her other customers. Even looked at us but NEVER came to take our drink order. We were never greeted never given menus. When we got it ...Fries we're cold , burger cold .. very disappointed. We wished we would have save our money ($27.00) and gone to GRIFFS. Their burgers are good and hot when picked up. So we've been here 3 times!!! Service is BBB+rated!!! The food would be 3 star Michelin rated if my name was Michelin and I walked around with start stickers! The drink and beer selection are great!! We don't go eat in mesquite very often, but when we have to eat in mesquite this is our go to!!! Highly recommend it!!! read more

Dropped in today after shopping nearby. Good atmosphere and the wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The food was absolutely terrible. By all rights it should have been good. The ingredients seemed fresh and the plate was well staged but the taste was not good. Had a loaded burger and at the first bite I was ready to quit eating. All I could taste was SALT! The chef must have dumped all the salt in the shaker on to the burger. I guess if I was a bovine that needed a salt lick I was in the right place. Will not be eating here again. What should have been good food, ruined by the salt shaker. If you have high blood pressure, avoid this place as their food is a heart attack on a plate. read more

If you want decent food and service then I suggest dining in instead of taking out. I've ordered several times online to come pick up and there's always food missing. Service hasn't been really great with take out orders either. Dining in has been the only acceptable experience here so far. Bubba's has a really good menu. The variety is very good. Their pizza is a plus also. I enjoy going there. I highly recommend them for a quick tasty meal. The sports bar atmosphere is not too noisy as some can be. It works for us. Good choice. read more

Needs new management. The staff there play around all night like it's a high school . It's ghetto asl they scream and yell and have personal conversations and stand on there phones around customers . We came in and asked for a booth the bigger girl in the front with the braids said it's a wait my boyfriend asked how long she then turns to the computer takes five mins to press one button on the screen and magically finds a booth to sit us in.... Check the tables before speaking. When we got the food from someone else that wasn't our server my boyfriend tried to ask him for Parmesan cheese and ranch he didn't even let him finish the sentence and he walked away and came back with only the Parmesan cheese because his 2002 mario braids having ass didn't let him finish what he was saying . Great food, but ToGo order did not include a fork with the salad and when ordering fries with a burger, it was not explained that fries came with the dinner so ended up paying extra for fries that we threw away. It's a shame because fries we're delicious! Manager seemed awesome and said he would comp for a dinner through email, but that was a few weeks ago and haven't seen anything in my email. . Great time here. We had a long wait cz our party was large but management made sure they checked on us frequently regarding our table. I had the sunshine burger and it was delicious and juicy. I asked for mine med and it was pretty close. I'm not used to ordering burgers medium so it probably was spot on. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food at our table.
