I been visiting Bubbakoo's for awhile and it's time to finally write something. This place is 5 minutes from my home and once a month we order from the app for pickup. I really enjoy the food and the options they provide. They offer more sauces and choices then Chipotle. I never been disappointed in the experience. Lines do tend to get long, so I recommend ordering from the app. I recently tried the bacon chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. Also, love my General TSO's and double steak! The only downside is the amount of meat for your order is a bit weak. I always do double steak because they never put enough for the single scoop. Ordering in person might take a little time, so I always recommend using the app, plus reward points. The staff are very friendly! They young and work hard! read more

First time we ordered on the app and everything was pretty good Second time my Wi-Fi was down so had to order in store. Some items were only available on line. Could not tell me what a comparable substitution would be. Crew unhelpful and disinterested. It looked like it was busy but I really wasn't asking for that much. Food was pretty awful. I had a great experience here. When I came up to the counter where you order, the young man taking my order asked if it was my first time and then helped orient me to the menu. Then when I told him I don't eat meat and am allergic to avocado, he offered to cook some new vegetables fresh, because they were out and it was 15 minutes to close, so they had not made a new batch. I said no because I didn't want to trouble him and he insisted that it would be no trouble and would finish cooking before I finished ordering. He also helped me choose between the burrito and a bowl based on how hungry I was and whether I wanted leftovers. It has been a long time since I encountered someone so helpful working in a food service establishment. He had a great attitude and I hope his supervisors see this post. Fantastic employee! I would prefer Bubbakoo's Burritos over Chipotle any day. It's $1 or $2 more expensive than Chipotle but it's better quality ingrident. Don't get me wrong, I love Chipotle but this is just better. However, don't get the Chiwawa, it's too much rice/carbs and too little ingrident. Great concept but it's a fail. read more

Good shrimp taco. The chips were stale though and the prices were silly expensive for what you're getting. I got a shrimp taco that comes with chips, drink, and fried oreos for dessert -- $22 for one person. Oreos were decent. I'll come back just for those. The new manager has done a great job. Big improvement. There is consistency now in customer service. The food has been very good.

First, let me say that we've only had hard-shell tacos here, and they're very good. Ordering online is best because when you order at the restaurant, you and the staff have to scream over the noise of an open kitchen and their idiotically loud music. Are they asking about cheese? Beans? Do I need to use sign language? Do they? Also, the staff is sweet, but utterly clueless. The kid at the register was overwhelmed with putting together details of a large order that should have been checked by someone less busy, while our food and other completed orders sat there and we all stood waiting. Then, since the orders aren't marked by those assembling them, the cashier had to start opening up our orders to tally our bill. Though we didn't want to eat there, hard shell tacos get too soggy when you try to drive home with them, so we did, and before we finished our meal, the large order that took so much time was returned because it was incorrect. Perhaps if they turned the music down, they could actually hear themselves think. read more

OMG Where do I start? It was on a Sunday afternoon and I decided to have a small birthday party for 3 women born on the same day. There were a total of 8 of us. We claimed a few tables on the side wall and each of us ordered and got what we wanted. I paid for myself and the birthday girls and that was not a problem for the staff. We sang Happy Birthday and the staff joined in. They allowed me to bring in a birthday cake and after we cut that, the restaurant gifted us fried Oreos and fried nachos with Raspberry and Chocolate drizzle. What a nice thing to do!!! So me and my husband went here tonight this is our first time ordering from this place it's new and I can tell you I am absolutely pleased the food was amazing so full of flavor everything is extremely fresh when I tell you this place will definitely put chipotle out of business. By far the worst take out in my life. More than $70 for 4 bowls with basically nothing but rice and nasty lettuce. there was hardly any meat to speak of. The guacamole was more like avocado puree. Very disappointed. read more

The steam table was a mess; nothing appeared fresh; their "guacamole" was in a bag; the steak and shrimp burrito almost literally had no flavor. The steak was tough and overcooked. Food is great what I don't like is the pre-selected tip. I'm rushing to get my order in before the cut off as they close at an early 9PM and as I hit the button to place the order I realized they had pre-selected an $8 dollar TIP for me. Tips are for Wait staff that by law are allowed to be paid below Minimum wage so they survive on our tips so from me wait staff get 25%+. Why am I tipping a take out place? I'm not being served? There is no wait staff!! I'm coming to get my own order. Who gets the money?? The franchisee? That is total BS. Pre-select "NO TIP" and let the customer decide to Tip or not. Wait staff earn their Tips by conversing with the customer taking a correct order bringing you your food and drinks etc.. This is a total Rip Off.. read more

For 5 years i have been passing up the opportunity to eat at a Bubbakoos .. not sure why... maybe because I really didn't want it to be another Chipotle. Didn't want to walk in and be disappointed on expensive tasteless food. But was i surprised! two weeks ago I was home and my sons wonderful GF brought Bubbakoos home for lunch. YUM. She got me the 3 taco plate with chips and salsa. YES!!!! I was not disappointed, fresh, tasty and ya know it traveled well to our home from Jackson. I ordered 3 dishes from this place and it came up $42. They were 2 steak bowls and 1 steak and shrimp burrito. All three dishes were cold and the white rice was not cooked. The steak dishes had 4 -5 little, tiny pieces of steak and had no flavor. The portions were small and was not worth the $12 price tag for each. The burrito was a nice size. It was packed with black beans, cilantro, jalapeños, steak and shrimp and a mango sauce. The sauce made it somewhat edible but the uncooked rice ruined it for me. Taking a break from cooking on a Saturday night and deciding to pay for a meal instead, was highly disappointing to say the least. Not to mention when you order online and go to check out, they automatically try to add a 15% tip for their workers onto the bill. This is a classic spot for high school students in my town, but I have just gotten a chance to try it yesterday. For just a dollar or less more you get quite a selection of options for meat and the burritos were so large our tortillas broke in the making. I had the buffalo crispy chicken which I didn't like a lot so I will probably try a different meat next times, but my parents got the BBQ rib and hibachi steak burritos and those were really nicely flavored without being too salty. We frequently order from Bubbakoos Burrito's for either staff meetings, or family events. Tyler, who is an employee there, knows us now, and always take such great care of our catering orders. Even if we order something small & ask for it to be delivered, they take care of it! There is always a consistency in their salsa, and their chips are always fresh. The food is really good. Love the chihuahua, but if I had one recommendation to the owner: Please reach out to the Brick location and find out what they got going on with their chips. The chips at the brick location are super salty and good, while the chips at the location are pretty average with little to no salt. I heard good things about this place so I decided to order. I ordered the meal and when the delivery brought it over it was spill all inside the bag (which is no sanitary) by the time the driver delivered it the restaurant was closed. So I ordered again and explained to the lady manager what had happened And that they charged me double. she was very hostile and kept blaming the driver and my banking card not taking any responsibility for what happened. Well i don't know if it is due to Covid or just always like this. A new bubbakoos opened recently near my work, Crescent Park Dr. in Riverview. They are very kind and the place appears clean. They even offered me free Lemonade one day. However....they get something wrong on EVERY SINGLE ORDER! Today they left off the lettuce, I double checked my order and it was them not me. Todays order in fact had a $2 off credit because last time 4 of us ordered and each one of us was missing something from our meal. I mean....it's not rocket science...read the order and fill it. Ordered 5 meals from the restaurant to be delivered via Uber eats. The food came "on time" but... First of all only 3 meals came... They blamed that on the driver - which I don't buy - but okay I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Then open the order and the quesedilla was all wrong. No meat, onion when I didn't order onion, white rice when I ordered brown rice, bell peppers when I didn't order bell peppers, I will hold my reviews of the food since my review might be tainted based on my delivery experience. Ordered a quesadilla with pork, grilled vegetables and cilantro. When it arrived at my table I was shocked. They "grilled" the contents and the quesadilla itself and must have used a ton of grease because it was glistening with fat. The whole quesadilla and the contents were essentially fried. Did it taste good? Yes, of course. Fat tastes good. But that was not what I expected nor wanted. The thing must have had at least 2000 calories now. I wound up eating just one of the four slices and picking out the vegetables and pork (which was lean) from the inside of the rest (slim pickings) and throwing the fat-laden remainder in the garbage. Great tacos whether you get them delivered or sitting down in their restaurant. Parking is rough in the area, but great specials, and way better than Chipotle. A must have for taco lovers who want it fast. read more

Update: I hesitate to even share, but I probably won't be returning to this location. Don't get me wrong the food was enjoyable, but less than two hours post meal I was struck in the worst way with abdominal discomfort. Let's just say I almost rode home on the Hershey highway...thankfully I didn't have any other jobs that day.
