First of all this place this weird. You seat yourself and they bring you menus then you have to get up and order and pay at the counter. On your back to your table you get your plasticware and napkins. Everything is served on paper. Paper cups, paper bowls. It was 54.00 for 2 burgers, waffle fries, tater tots, Mac and cheese and 2 iced teas. My burger did not taste right. It was cooked perfect but, it tasted like it was bad. I took it to the counter and told the manager but, they don't give refunds because there excuse was just because I didn't like it doesn't mean I get a refund. He said that they did nothing wrong. I asked if I could have a chicken sandwich instead and he said that I would have to pay for it. Ridiculous. This is very bad management. We definitely won't be back . read more

BTW was a great little restaurant where you order at the counter and your meal is delivered to your table. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. We had the Signal 33 burger which was messy but delicious. My friend ordered the Cheesetopia which was a tater tot waffle covered with a tasty bbq and tons of cheese. She loved it. We also had the American Poutine which was very good but could have used more cheese and meat. We still enjoyed it. We will definitely be back again!! read more

First visited to BTW as well as Tavares. Great downtown location. We were immediately greeted and asked if we'd ever been here. When we said "no", the menu and order process was explained. The menu focuses on burgers, tacos and waffles..... BTW. I ordered the buffalo chicken resting on a bed of tater tots and covered with blue cheese. It was delicious. The desert menu liked wonderful, however we were too stuffed to sample. The downtown area offers the perfect setting to walk your meal off. read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I regularly come for dinner and get our food delivered to their brewery next door. Today we stopped in for lunch and the staff went above and beyond. The food is always consistently delicious with fresh ingredients and interesting combinations. Our favorites are the Ring of Fire chicken and Waffles and the Bar-Bi- Coma waffle fries. We have tried almost everything on the menu and everything is delicious. The staff is always SO nice and welcoming which makes us feel like they appreciate us. Some friends and I boated over from the villages and stopped here for a late lunch. We were instructed to take a menu, peruse and select items and approach the cashier to take our orders and pay. They have tacos, burgers and waffles along with various sides and fillings on each different item. I ordered the build your own burger and ordered it medium, although they recommended medium well. I like pink center, but this was a bit over done for medium it was very juicy and flavorful,, thick and hard to eat due to the thick size and tomato and onion on a lightly toasted brioche bun. Mayo on the side was good, and the side of tater tots were cooked right . My spouse ordered a half wedge salad and with the blue cheese and tomatoes and balsamic drizzle were flavorful and filling. My friends ordered a chicken and waffle fries buffalo drenched meal, with blue cheese on the side and was more than he could eat. The mani fish taco for our fourth patron was good, but needed some more sauce or sour cream to top it off. Moderate prices kept our lunch budget in check. There are lots of other items we want to come back to and try. The batter dipped Oreo deep fried dessert is one item we need to taste. read more

What a gem in Tavares! I came here during a work meeting, and thought the food looked interesting. I ordered a mushroom taco and a fruity pebbles waffle. The taco was delicious and the waffle was a sweet ending to the meal. Both of my friends also really enjoyed their food. The worst part of BTW is trying to decide what you want to order from their expansive and yummy menu! For lunch on a Wednesday, this place was pretty busy! We sat outside and a waitress checked on us a few times which was nice. We ordered fried Oreos for a dessert after the meal, which came out quickly and were delicious. There is ample parking in the area on the street or in the lot across the street. The renovations of downtown Tavares make the area inviting and contemporary. I would love to come back and explore a bit more! read more

This place is pretty cool. Unique menu with crazy names and ingredients. I tried three different types of tacos and all of them were awesome. We had the smothered corn and it was hmmm hmmm good! Great thing is you can place your order and go next door to Bru Haus. Get the beer or wine of your choice and they will deliver to you. How good is that. This is a very neat idea and very tasty. The location there in Tavares Florida is neat because you can just across the park CC planes coming in and taking off. We had a spicy mother clucker sandwich and a good tasty burger. We were first-time visitors and we'll definitely come back. The major drawback for me and I think the only drawback was the selection of sodas. They have some crafty kind of disgusting diet soda there. I'm sorry it was disgusting. So I wouldn't I would rather drink water than that. read more

The food was absolutely amazing from breakfast to burger and taco. Nothing we had was disappointing at all even the soda was amazing. The service was very warm and welcoming. They were very attentive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and it is nice and cool inside. It does offer seating outside as well. The coffee was so freaking amazing. Since patronizing this establishment since its inception, I can confidently say that I have never had a bad meal or have been disappointed in any way. I describe BTW to any friends I try and quickly explain the acronym, "It's what happens when you give a few caring people quality ingredients prepared with tremendous passion." Owner Rebecca is delightful and easy to talk to; you can tell her passion for both Brü Tap House and its adjoining restaurant, BTW and her desire to have it continue as a Tavares favorite. The Winner Winner chicken and waffles with warm bourbon syrup never disappoints. The chicken is always seasoned nicely and the balance of sweetness in the waffle and syrup make music together. The Ring of Fire buffalo and bleu cheese version is also tremendous. A family favorite is the Mac N' in the Shack (or something close to that), which used to be on their secret menu, which- may sound crazy- but is a Big Mac the way Ray Kroc would have only dreamed. A Big Mac spirit with fresh ingredients that will change your opinion of how the sandwich was intended to taste. Also, the barbacoma appetizer served over tater tots is basically a meal to itself. We gathered here for our dining this week. While the food was very good (except that fries were cold). The overall scoring only came in at a 70 out of a potential 100. Out of 20, Atmosphere was 14 - Service was 13 - Food Quality was 17 - Food Portion was 15 and overall value 11. This is a no frills counter service restaurant. Where you go order at counter and they bring it to you when ready. One person in our party had to wait several minutes for that meal to come out. The feeling in the group was this place may not make it on our "come back" list. Also, atmosphere is very loud and difficult to enjoy friendly conversation. Delicious chicken and waffles! But, they were served at room temperature . After about two bites my waffles were really cold due to the cooler temps inside the restaurant. The fried chicken breast was very well seasoned and flavorful. If and only if I knew it would be served HOT, I would definitely order them again. The waffles were flavorful, dense and biscuit-like in flavor. At first I thought they were too hard, but found they were soft on the underside and inside. The special syrup was good too. The Korean taco was decent but it was so, SO over-sauced. I wiped off as much as I could. The beef tasted like typical American pot roast with very little seasoning. This was my first visit to BTW. It was recommended by a friend. I was picturing a larger more lively place however it's small and quiet if it's not busy. You order at the register and they bring out your food. I ordered a starter and after a few moments asked if it was coming and was told it usually all comes out at once unless you say, I want my starter as a starter. They have a very limited menu for meatless options unless you want to order something sweet. The food was high quality and the menu has some creative options. My kids enjoyed the waffles lathered in fruit and chocolate. Everything we order was flavorful except the fried Oreos the dough on them was tasteless and very disappointing. I'm here for the food and BTW delivered in that area. The poutine (waffle fries or tater tots, cheese curds, stout & short rib beef gravy) was so good. You can't go wrong with chunks of beef in gravy poured over cheese curds and tater tots. The Winner Winner (fried chicken breast, malted buttermilk waffle, warm maple bourbon syrup) was pretty good, the waffle had just the right amount of fluffiness and crispness. We also ordered BFD (breakfast for dinner) a breakfast burger and the Cheeztopia a mac-n-cheese waffle piled high with bbq pulled pork. Finally, we had the fried Oreo's, two red velvet batter and two buttermilk batter. This was a very pleasant dining experience. Parking is a plenty in the parking lot adjacent to the building. I have to be honest I really wanted to like this place. Everyone has posted such amazing things about it that we made the treck to give it a try. We had cheese curds which were just ok nothing special. Brussel sprouts and again they were just ok. A little on the over cooked burnt side. We also then tried three tacos - Trailer trash, Buffalo chicken and the brisket one. The trailer trash had too much of the sweet sauce and it was overpowering, the buffalo chicken lacked flavor other than strong hot sauce. The only one we all liked was the brisket one but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. read more
