Wow. What a delicious find we happed on to today. The smash burger was absolutely delicious. The fried Ramen was off the hook. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute place a very cool menu of scratch kitchen selections.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent

If Hallmark made a brunch movie, it would be filmed at BTW in Tavares--especially at Christmas. We went for Sunday brunch during the holidays, and this place was decked out floor to ceiling like Santa personally said, "Needs more décor." The food? Absolute holiday magic. The eggnog French toast tasted like Christmas morning in carb form, the banana foster waffle with candied pecans was indulgent in all the right ways, and the French toast with blueberry compote and lemon curd was the perfect sweet-tangy mic drop. Every bite was better than the last. The staff was friendly, attentive, and moved with the cheerful efficiency of elves who've had just the right amount of coffee. Fair warning: it's a small spot and they don't take reservations, so we showed up about 30 minutes before they opened at noon--and it was 100% worth it. Come hungry, come early, and come ready to leave very full and very happy. BTW has officially earned a spot on our "must-return" list--Santa approved.

It was my first time dining at this restaurant. It did not disappoint! I had a seasonal waffle, which was delicious all the flavors complemented each other. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The real highlight is the bar next-door. They do themes for every season. The Halloween theme is amazing every single inch of the lounge is decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Servers are friendly and check on you, food served in a reasonable time. Garlic aioli is top notch

Came here for dinner with a friend. Always love the tacos. The menu has the perfect amount of options. Our waiter was great, he came and checked in us a lot and we always had full waters. Food came out hot and looking perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was the Miracle on Main Street Christmas theme when we came which is so bright and festive, it all looks beautiful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The holiday drinks are expensive, $17 plus, mocktails are $14. Pricey for the drinks and some food but it's worth it!!

Just needed to grab lunch before a meeting and saw this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little place with a view of the lake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is a counter service restaurant and they bring the food out after you order. They have a decent selection on the menu. I opted for a burger and it did not disappoint. The burger was cooked to perfection. Juicy and seasoned perfect. Absolutely one of the best burgers I have ever had. It is a little pricey but in my opinion definitely worth it.

First time visiting BTW and I can't wait to go back! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, the decor and vibes of the place is super cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered our meal from Wondrous Will and he was fantastic! The menu is very extensive with many delicious combinations of flavors and funny quirky names. I had the taco duo (trailer park & barbacoa pork), my bf had the mutha clucka churger. The others in our group had a variety of burgers and tenders. The star of the show was the street corn!! So yummy! The sodas were glass bottles which always taste better than from a can. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even the bathroom was cute filled with quiet signs on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely recommend BTW!

Don't sleep on BTW - this place's food, service and atmosphere is all 5 stars! Trina was the main waitress we saw and each time she interacted she was so exceptional and kind! The chicken and waffles (winner winner) were so good and flavorful - the chicken perfectly seasoned with the right amount of crunch but not too much breading. The banana nut waffles reminded you of the flavors of banana bread - super good! The mission impossible burger was recommended by Trina and I got it with a regular beef patty - full of flavor, very well seasoned, and the mushrooms were marinaded with balsamic vinaigrette which really enchanted the burger further. I can't wait to come back and bring others here, it was really a great place to eat!

This is my first time to Tavares and we are glad we chose BTW for lunch. Service we great. You order inside and the food is brought to you. Multiple servers came by to fill up drinks and check on us. I got the poutine burgers. It was huge! The poutine had great beef flavor and was not over-salted. The street corn was packed with sauce and cheese! The southern burger was juicy and packed with cheese pimento cheese. I also got the sangria on tap and it was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and you can watch the boats on the water. It was a really lovely experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been here four times in the last few years and every time it's been absolutely phenomenal. One of my favorite places in the greater Orlando area - we always stop here on our way back from visiting the natural springs up North. You really can't go wrong with the menu - it's fun, playful, unique, and has a ton of flavor! I think the tacos are my favorite thing I've tried. I've tried the trailer trash, the buffalo chicken, and the barbacoa. The tacos are HUGE and I love the three taco option where you can try different flavors. The buffalo chicken and the barbacoa are the best imo, especially the barbacoa! It's spicy and delicious. Today I got the current special, the caprese clucker - a chicken sandwich with mozzarella, tomato, an aioli, and basil. It was delightful, and the chicken was huge! I also got a side of truffle fries with truffle aioli which might just be my favorite thing I've ordered here. I can't wait to come back and get them again!

Small plates. I swear there's a burger under there!

This location was suggested as they have an enclosed patio to avoid bugs, and it worked out great! The staff were remarkable and even brought an iced water for the dog without even asking! Appreciate that extra touch. What We Ordered: ~ Dockside Scallops (Appetizer): cooked beautifully, and paired with a sauce that complimented the scallops. Loved the citrus for acidity, while having the sweet chili for some spice. I can see this being delicious with rice and a vegetable for an entree, which they also offer. ~ The Big Cheese Burger (sub Cheddar versus American Cheese): Very delicious and a great price point for $15! Definitely left us satisfied as we cut in half to share the scallops as well. ~ Jumper Juice: only $5 all day, every day? Why not try! Though, I'm a vodka fan so this was not my liquor of choice. Still a very refreshing drink that I'm sure many would enjoy. ~ Coke: A classic for a burger, and tasted great on a hot, humid Florida day. Definitely a place I'd return when visiting in the area, and I can see trying the scallop entree or even getting a burger again. Great food, friendly service, and spacious location.

When the fries came they were fresh which I was happy about that but I needed to salt them for flavor. Went to use the ladies room before leaving and a 1 stall caused a traffic jam on a Saturday afternoon. Can't imagine what it would be like on a busy night. As a vegetarian and my wife being Gluten Free, we wondered what we would order. If we knew our friends better, we would have suggested going elsewhere, but did not say much. I saw that they have a side salad and wondered if they could make that into an entree portion for me. The very nice waitress came back with a resounding 'no', they could not accommodate. The menu was almost 100% meat or fish. There was one vegetarian plate, which was expensive and I could not see the value reflected in the rather large asking price. Instead, I ordered 3 sides, Brussel Sprouts, grits and sweet potatoes, each $5.00. They were all good with the exception of the Brussel Sprouts having a gas taste. So too much flame there. My wife eats meat and had the Prime Rib (first time in 20 years). She said it was good and it was $34. The Salmon was also $34. Our friends each had the blackened salmon and they were also $34. These came with 1 side. To us, we felt the food was overpriced. The mostly meat menu caters obviously to only meat eaters and the owner was not willing to make any changes as our friend wanted to leave the bacon oil out, and that didn't happen. I suppose they do not need our business and our friends felt the same way. Of course, after hearing such good things about the place, we were sorry we went there. Or course, if in the future the name of the restaurant comes up, we will share our experiences. Word of mouth advertising came be good or bad. Seemed like the waitress has had to give the 'no change' answer lots of times before. So, this was not our kind of restaurant as they didn't serve what we wanted. Oh well, we tried.

That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved.
