Service was fast & friendly. Food came quickly and was hot and fresh. I just was not wowed by the taste of anything. The grits were bad. The biscuit was basic. And all 4 meats on my plate were just a little off. My favorite thing was the eggs. They were delicious! And the pancakes coming out if the kitchen looked amazing so maybe that would've been a better choice.

Philly Omelet with biscuits/gravy & cup of grits (not pictured). Chess Pie. French Toast breakfast.

GREAT local all-day-breakfast joint! It has a divey quick-serve cafe vibe to it. The staff is super nice & prompt. I had the Philly Omelet and it was delicious. Excellent blend of meat, cheese, & (curiously) tomatoes. It comes with a side of BnG's and grits. I tried a piece of Chess Pie at the suggestion of one of the cooks. It's like a sweet custard with a flaky top and was pretty good. Their menu has something for everyone & the service is super fast. Would absolutely recommend!

This place is a Memphis staple and a must stop if you're visiting. It's located on Summer Ave and it's not the most prestigious neighborhood but I've never had any problems there. Bryant's is listed on Eater Nashville as one of the top 20 Essential Restaurants in Memphis. The restaurant has that neighborhood diner feel with hot coffee and freshly cooked breakfast moving about from counter to table. The service is great, fast and friendly. If you come on the weekend be prepared to stand in line. The decor is no frills, a few pics on the walls. The star is the food, beautiful pancakes and French Toast among other yummy plates. I ordered the famous Country Ham, Biscuits, Gravy, Grits and eggs plate to go. The biscuits were proper Southern biscuits light and fluffy just waiting on a slather of butter. The grits and eggs were ok not award worthy. The Ham was what I was excited about because I only eat ham on special occasions, however it was dry and overcooked. The ham was a No for me. Next time I go back I'll try the pancakes or omelette they looked delicious!

This is one of the best places to get a breakfast sandwich! I get a biscuit with bacon, egg and cheese and it's divine. I also recommend the triangle hashbrown patties for a crunchy, satisfying side. Although Bryant's typically has a line of customers, it moves quickly and the food comes out hot and fresh. The vibe is like an old school diner, serving the classics without many frills. Definitely add it to your breakfast list!

I used to work at a family owned diner on Quince growing up, and this little spot reminds me of it down to a tee! The line was wrapped around the building, which is always a good indicator! It moved quickly, and I ordered the pancake breakfast, and a chicken biscuit. You certainly get what you pay for, it was a TON of food! and it was all good. I forgot to take a picture of the pancakes, because I ate them all :( If I'm ever in town, I definitely wanna come back!!

French Toast had classic taste, I'm usually a pancake addict but this took the cake. Customer service always amazing every time I go. This would be the perfect stop for any type of breakfast lover.

    Menu pricing was amazing

It was a good but don't see the hype haha. Maybe I didn't the right things. But your average breakfast spot. You walk in order your food they give you a number and you sit down or eat in. Nothing special nothing fancy. I do like that concept. It's very fast and good comes out hot. Everybody is nice. They actually remade my food because it was a miscommunication and that was really nice of them. I would visit again because food is reasonably priced.

Woke up early to head over and try this place out. Parking was easy and there weren't too many people inside. The minute you pull into this place you know it's going to be good. Old school diner vibes for sure. The inside is open with a bunch of tables and you order at the counter as soon as you walk in. I went with the sampler and my daughter got the strawberry pancakes. Our food came out pretty quick and there was a lot of it. Overall everything tasted pretty good. I thought the ham and pork tenderloin were a little dry but the biscuits were some of the best I have ever had. It was definitely worth the drive to try out and I would probably go again if I'm ever back in the area.

It was just ok! I'm not sure why people make such a fuss haha. Keep in mind, I'm not a huge breakfast person, but my friend said she wasn't feeling it either. The service was great it just tasted really bland. I had to add lots of salt to mine and I rarely use salt in anything. The French toast appealed but it looks so sweet I'm worried it'll upset my stomach. I'd be willing to try it with someone tho. To try: Cinnamon Roll French Toast Ok: - Scrambler: Pork Tenderloin

Unbelievable biscuits and ham. Or bacon or steak. A blue collar breakfast place, which explains the long line. Must visit

I took the advice, and I'm really glad I did. It was fantastic--stacked with pulled pork, smoked sausage, and beef brisket, all topped with slaw and BBQ sauce on a bun. I also tried a bite of the barbecue bologna, which is a thick-cut slice served on white bread, and that didn't disappoint either. Inside gets pretty smoky, so you'll probably prefer sitting outside. Luckily, there are plenty of picnic tables and seating areas to choose from. I didn't catch the name of the guy who helped me, but he was friendly, energetic, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, a really enjoyable visit.

This entire restaurant is built on a slight slope, and they did not level the foundation when building out the restaurant, so if you're sitting at your table and the table is aligned north to south, you will see a slight lean to the flooring. Also, if you have any juices on your plate of food, the juices will flow toward Beale Street. I wanted to try their tamales but will have to do it on a subsequent visit. This visit we ordered the bowl of gumbo and the Memphis strip steak which is pre-cut for you. The gumbo is slightly salty but good. The strip steak was really good, filling and cooked to order. I chose new potatoes as my one side. Service here can be a little difficult depending how busy they are and how wild your fellow patrons in the restaurant can be. It took a long time to pay the bill here due to a large party coming in right when we were wanting to pay and our server was attending to them for about 15 mins while we were trying to flag him down. Other than that, we had no other problems. I would happily return the next time I'm in the downtown area and looking for food near Beale Street.

Later during the meal, he admits that Momma's is one of his spots, so that's saying a lot. It sort of looked like another bar/restaurant from the outside, but they have a nice outdoor patio overlooking an old decrepit building which is at least some scenery. Once inside, you'll quickly see it's highly decorated and has a claim to be one of the only trucker themed bars in the US. Inside is decked out to the ceilings with signs, neon, old mirrors, collectibles, and many other items. I swear it looks like it's been in business for 30+ years, but my client said only a couple of years. I looked over the basic menu and saw burgers, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, a famous pork chop, wings and a few other items. The client and my colleague quickly ordered devilled eggs, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. The first two apps were really good, I didn't try the fries though. They had a burger of the day, and a food special of the day, but I settled on the wings. With those I chose the 10 pc, Buffalo with dry rub, smoked. Kind of a weird combination since most people usually order dry here apparently, but I like saucy wings. When they come out, they are huge and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them. I think I could only eat 6-7. My colleague had a ribeye steak salad which was a protein bomb he loved, and my 2 clients ordered a big rig grilled cheese which he also loved and a fried chicken sandwich (firebird) which looked really good. Overall, I really liked this place and it's one of the best meals I've had in Memphis the handful of times I've visited.
