That was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. We ate there yesterday at around 5pm. Walked in and there were maybe five tables full so not too many guests yet. Way too many servers on staff all standing around but surprisingly doing nothing. We were seated by hostess and then no one came by for quite some time. Had our 1 years old son and no one even got him a high chair as my husband held him on his lap. We waited while various staff stared at us doing nothing. Finally someone who we assume was the manager came by and asked if anyone had come to help us yet. We said no and had to ask her for a high chair for our son. We had three different servers come ask if we wanted anything to drink besides water (all three times we said no) and no one still took our order! We finally got a server to take our order after watching the supervisor nod to him that he needed to take our order. We ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti instead of the penne that it comes with. Also ordered the soup instead of salad. Soup came and a basket of bread. Neither were very good at all. Soup was watery and not very flavorful, it did not taste fresh. The chicken Parmesan came with penne instead of the spaghetti we ordered so we had to remind the server (again we were one of the few tables even in there!). The manager reprimanded the server for forgetting our spaghetti in plain view of us (very unprofessional). The sauce was just ok the chicken was so bad my husband and I debated if we had actually gotten either an old frozen piece of chicken or the veal. My husband has many years of experience in the restaurant industry. He has helped with the opening of many new restaurants (including Italian) and has a heart for family owned places. We really did want this place to be good and we live very close by as well but nothing was redeemable about the entire visit sadly. Service was terrible, food was nasty and the prices were high for the poor quality we received. We would have been better off grabbing something from the publix next door. We will not be going back. We hope they can turn it around. read more

Ordered two pizzas for pick up. When we got there they realized they made one incorrectly (how can you screw up light cheese pizza???) and they told us they would remake and would be ready in 10 min. 20 minutes later they told us only another 5 minutes. 10 min later pizza was still not ready. We asked to cancel our order and get our money back. Manager was rude. No one apologized for the problem. In total it took over an hour and left without our ordered pizzas. Never going back again. We order take out from Bruninas ALOT! This season the hostess staff/ or staff who handle to go orders are awful! No phone manners and have messed up my orders numerous times. Tonight I called and the girl on the phone was taking my order and kept repeating "oh my god, oh my god" I'm sure because the other phone was ringing and then proceeded to say "oh my god, what the f**k". I said excuse me? And she totally ignored me. When I asked again what she said her response was "I didn't say anything". I suggest y'all teach your staff some manners or we will not be ordering from you anymore. I understand it's season and places are busy, I am a local and have worked in the industry as well. This place was better than I expected! My salad was fresh and crisp; stuffed mushrooms tasty; and baked tilapia in a bag was cooked perfectly. Very good homemade Italian food. Seems like a family run business and they were all very nice. We had Veal Milanese, fettuccini bolognese, and the gnocchi. Every thing was great. We also had the arancini appetizer. The tomato sauce is very good and the bread was a nice crunchy Italian bread served with delicious olive oil. read more

Look.. it's an ok Italian pizza place.. not fancy in a Publix strip mall location on rt. 41 in east naples.. the food, esp the pizza is very good. The service on the other hand needs a major overhaul. Last night, the place was busy.. busier than the entire quite summer season. New service person needs a lot more training.. the owner walks around and sometimes says hello even though we have been there 25 times. Her daughter's also work there. The one with the dark hair is ok. The lighter hair one needs to concentrate on her job. Much better Italian at Bice or Cafe Milano on 5th av in downtown Naples.. 10 min drive away. read more

I will never order from these people again!!! The last time I went there (off season), I waited an eternity for the waitress to get our food and then our check. We ordered tonight for take out and the girl who took the order was horrible. I should have known there would be a problem after talking to her on the phone. My husband and I were starving and he got there after 25 minutes as instructed and they had no order for us???? how??? I just spent 10 minutes trying to convey the order to her. We went to Brunina's last night and had a wonderful meal. This was probably our 5th time visiting this restaurant and every time the food has been great. I had made a reservation last night as we were a party of 4 and we were seated as scheduled--our waitress was good and everyone was very happy with their meal. My husband had the chicken Marsala and he said the sauce was particularly delicious. The other night I had the grouper and shrimp special and that was one of the best dishes ever! My friend and I had visited this restaurant once before and found the pizza to be good. Today we ordered to go, and as we were waiting for the pizza we noticed the owner take a sauce container off a plate that had already been eaten and put it back in the refrigerator to serve to someone else. We have eaten at Brunina's for about 3 or 4 years now. It has always been consistent and a pleasure. Love that it's family owned and run. Have the pizza most often because everyone we bring always wants to try it but when going by ourselves or with friends who have already been, we've had the Osso Buco (good), the Shrimp Scampi (YUM), actually have had most of the pasta dishes and they have all been good...I'm big on garlic flavor in my pasta dishes so I always ask them to prepare it with more fresh garlic and they don't seem to have any problem with special requests. Actually going tonight........bringing guests from out of town again, so I guess it might be pizza night again but I don't mind at all, it's always very good thin crust just the way I love it and I'm not even from NY - I'm from the Chicago area but that's what I grew up on...delicious thin crust pizza from LaRosa's & Alberti's. read more

I have to tell everyone about a wonderful family owned restaurant I have been going to or years. Bruninas pizza and pasta is amazing. Authentic, home made and delicious! The owner Brunina is fantastic. Brunina makes everyone feel like they are at home eating a hot meal with family! The staff really looks like they are having a blast working there for her. We went here for the very first time because of the positive reviews we read. Wow...what a difference from what we read and what we experienced. First, we arrived at 7:05pm last Saturday night for dinner. We were seated fairly promptly. A good start. The waitress came over quickly to take our order...too quickly. We had only been seated for about one minute. A sign of things to come? We hurried our order and ordered by 7:10pm. By 7:15 our salads arrived. We began eating, At 7:20pm, while we were eating our salads, the main course arrived and the waiter delivering them literally plopped them on the table and ran off without offering us cheese or pepper for the main course or even the salads that we were still eating. As we hurried through our salads, the main course was getting cold. We got to the main course and guess what, the food was just so...so. My chicken cutlet consisted of 2 extremely small and thin pieces of chicken, each about 4 inches by 2 inches by about 1/8 inch (without the heavy breading). My wife's pasta dish was bland and way too soft. The wine was ok, although it was obvious to my wife that the regulars were getting larger portions, not measured by bartender. About 7:35 we were asked if we were done; we said not yet. Savoring the wine a bit, and deciding we were going to take our time since it was still early (but how long can you sit there when the plates have been pulled off the table so quickly?) we ended up finished and out the door by 7:45pm. The ride home took longer than the meal. Just before we left, we saw a couple come in. My wife asked me "did you hear what the one busboy said to the other? i said no. She said, "He just told the other one, uh oh, someone's coming in...it looks like we may be stuck here longer." Really??? Conclusion: There are lots of fine restaurants in Naples, restauraunts that don't rush you out the door and actually give you quality food. We will not be back. read more

Went here two nights in a row. Chicken Parmesan and veal Parmesan were to die for. So tender and juicy i could cut with my fork. Very crowded but servers and staff were hustling to get people served quickly and efficiently. Salads and bread with dinner were both fresh and delicious. Will be back! read more
