the service was good but the food was unexceptional. I ordered a salad with no croutons and 2 meatballs. My dinner companion ordered angle hair and meatballs. the salad had croutons and the meatballs without the benefit of any marinara sauce were cold. The spaghetti and meatballs were cold as well. the Manager sat outside smoking a cigar with a companion and there was a huge turbo fan blowing on us the whole time. We have been going here for over 10 years, but have decided not to go back. Something has changed. read more

So my cousin moved recently across the street from this spot. So we randomly checked it out and it did not disappoint. We loved the food we had salad (which could have been better please look at the picture so you can see what I'm saying) , fried calamari(those were to die for) and the pizza. I wish the prosciutto I requested to be moderate in portion. I added it and preferred not chopped into the tiny pieces but the pizza itself was delicious. The ambiance was Chill and fast service. Delicious and an amazing atmosphere! We had such a fun time with our family! We had seafood pasta, gnocchi, piccata and chicken parm.

Eight of us had a fun evening at this quaint restaurant. I thought my salmon was a bit dry, but that was my fault since I should've ordered with the lovely waitress mentioned. I always appreciate a restaurant that provides soup or salad ahead of time. The bread and olive oil were a big hit. And their seven dollar happy hour Cabernet was fabulous. read more

I am giving a five star review on a pickup order for one large pizza. So no comment can be made on the service, atmosphere etc. First of all. The pizza was pretty darn good. Great sauce. Not to much salt. A healthy amount of cheese and toppings for a fair price. What makes this a five star review is that I asked them to underbake the pizza by ten minutes and they actually did! Took me a half hour to get home. Finished it off in my oven and it was perfect for when I was ready to eat. It is very hard to find a place to actually take that request. Some outright say no. Others say they will but always forget. Then I am left with a cold pizza or an overcooked one when I warm it up. I will definitely be back for another pizza! read more

We are huge fans of Brunina's. Love the family owned ambience and value. Whenever we are in town visiting our second home, we always visit Brunina's. Well what happened? Couldn't swap out salad for soup on the special or Merlot for Cab. Would have paid extra but OK. No substitutions, understood. So we ordered off regular menu. Can't believe you wouldn't sub the soup for that sub par house salad . I got penne vodka with chicken which was dry and more of a marinara than creamy pink vodka sauce. My husband had pork chop something which was forgettable. So sad because I loved this place. Will say that tiramisu to go was still as good as ever. But the rest is a NO. read more

There were 4 of us. I got the pizza and it was excellent as usual. They were very busy and 2 of my guests ordered an entre that comes with a salad. The wait was quite long and the salads did not come out first....they were delivered at the same time as the entre - which took up a lot of space on the table and the entrees were barely warm. It took us 10 min to find our waiter - so we could order dessert. We really like Bruninas -- we have decided we will go back only during the off - season. read more

We absolutely love this restaurant, as has everyone we have brought there. We like to start with the Clam's Crostini and the Fried Calamari, both excellent dishes. For the main courses, we like Short Rib Ragu, Cioppino, Salmon Pesto, Chicken Parmesan, and Eggplant Parmesan. They have daily specials which are always worth checking out. An added bonus is the bartender, Megan, who is an exceptional Mixologist and takes pride in her craft. We especially like the Limoncello Mule, and the Espresso Martini is among the best I have ever had. Service is always friendly, and not having to deal with downtown Naples is a plus. read more

My Caesar salad and Hawaiian pizza slice lunch items were reasonably priced and very good. The salad was nicely chilled and the pizza slice had a generous amount of toppings on a chewy/crispy crust. Unfortunately, while the service was somewhat attentive, the kitchen was slow, with a 23 minute wait for the salad and the pizza slice arriving a few minutes later. Overall, A-OK. read more

I've always considered this restaurant to have the best Italian food, but for the second time, we were treated poorly by the host--a tall man who is always there. This time, his behavior was especially disappointing because it involved an elderly guest. My mom's friend had specifically requested a round table when making the reservation, but upon arrival, we were told they couldn't accommodate her. She hadn't been informed of this beforehand, and naturally, she was quite disappointed. She was taking the group out to thank everyone for helping her in various ways. When she brought the issue up with the host, instead of handling the situation with kindness, he was dismissive and impolite. She explained that she dines there regularly and even shared that her mother was from the same town in Italy as Brunini. After a few minutes of back-and-forth, he assured her he would "take care of her." When the bill arrived, I expected him to make good on his word--perhaps by comping a drink or offering some small gesture of goodwill. But nothing. So, I took it upon myself to speak with him privately. I reminded him of his promise and asked if he really couldn't even offer her a glass of wine. His response? He asked what she had ordered and if she liked it, then sarcastically asked, "Does she want it now?" I told him no, we had already paid and were leaving. I suggested he at least say something to acknowledge the situation--invite her back for a drink, anything. Instead, he turned his back on me and ignored us while we prepared to leave. Not a word. Not a glance. Just avoidance. It's a shame that such an incredible restaurant allows a host to treat customers so rudely, especially a longtime patron who deserved much better. Great food alone isn't enough when hospitality is this lacking. read more

Mama Brunina is an under-appreciated yet inspiring presence and force behind this under-the-radar gem in East Naples. Her menu is of her creation. House made pasta made daily, freshest seafood and delectable ingredients in every menu item. Staff is unpretentious and highly attentive. It's a plus to us whenever we can have dinner and cocktails at the bar. They always have good bartenders serving good drinks. Locals all know about this place and everyone enjoys themselves and are friendly. If you're looking for a place where the food is way above average and it's served by nice people at a decent price this might be your place. There aren't too many places like this in Naples these days. I am grateful for this fine place. read more

Fixed price menu is pretty good. Had lasagna my friend had the fish. For $39.95 two entrees plus a bottle of wine. A really nice deal. We added a salad and our bill all in was about $55.00. This restaurant has been here in Naples for a long time. It is a family owned and operated business. We arrived early with a reservation and we were promptly seated. The table was clean and we were two at a table for four. The only thing I found as a potential problem is that when the wait staff isn't busy they gather together and chatted. read more

I was excited to try out Bruninas, but it was kind of a mixed bag. We started the night off with the stuffed mushrooms, which were absolutely delicious. Everything about this dish was so good from the mushrooms themselves to the sauce it was served with. But the entrees were just alright. Two people got the Linguine con Vongole and I ordered the Braciola Moderna. Each entree came with either soup or salad which was a nice surprise! But to get a cesar salad, it's an up charge and then to get anchovies it's another up charge, which seemed a bit excessive since there was only two anchovies... The Braciola Moderna was a bit of a mixed bag, the pork was good, but the pasta it came with was over cooked. The Linguine con Vongole unfortunately missed the mark. The dish needed more flavor the pasta wasn't al dente. It was a bit surprising considering I've heard so many good things! Maybe it's more about what you order, this place is supposed to have great pizza so I'm willing to try it again and just stick to that! read more

It was the Italian festival tonight Ferragosto and the food and ambiance was amazing. Excellent service, fast, efficient, focused and thorough. Really friendly shift manager who served us. The shrimp pasta was huge, well crafted flavors and a large amount of shrimp! The pizza was well made, crispy char, nice toppings of ham, sausage and pepperoni, sauce was tangy and hints of basil and oregano. This is a gem in East Naples! read more

So this is the second time we had dinner at this restaurant and there is always an issue....food was terrible and our waitress was rude and basically a smart ass ....the staff at this restaurant has changed drastically in the past 5 years and not for the better ....not only was she rude and unprofessional she proceeded to sit down at the next table with her friends or maybe family and started eating then gets up and asks is there anything else i can get you....not thanks i said just the check ....we will not be coming to Bruninas again i wonder if the staff behaves like this on Tuesdays because the owners weren't there. read more
