Just had dinner here a couple of days ago. Service was very good, the staff was on top of everything. We ate outside on their sidewalk patio because the weather was nice. I had the grouper special which was beyond excellent!! Served over risotto and with a cognac sauce and vegetables, the combination was outstanding. My wife had the salmon. Great service. Tasty food. The pappardelle pasta is made onsite and is delish. Even during the slow summer, Amore has specials. The fish dishes are usually a special only bc its fresh fish. My husband loves their Dover Sole. I've tried many specials, but come back to Chicken Piccata with Chef's veggies. They've recently offered spinach or asparagus if we'd prefer one of those with a dish. You can order a portion of pasta as an extra side dish. Also, when asked, Amore can do some dishes in 1/2 portions. My husband likes this option. I'm thinking the restaurant is trying it out And, come to think of it, I have no clue how the price changes with 1/2 portion. Great Italian food, with reasonable service. We were there on a Friday evening when it was fairly busy, and it took some time for our table to be greeted and served. Our waiter, however, was fantastic once things got rolling. The fare is traditional upscale Italian and everything we tried was quite good. If I could rate this on bread alone it would be 5 star. Served with fresh soft grated parmesan and olio, the warm bread was scrumptious. I ordered the pennete a la vodka with chicken. The chicken was grilled and chopped into bite size pieces. The penne cooked well and the sauce quite tasty albeit watery. Vodka sauce should be thick, not drippy. Service was friendly and attentive. Light music was very nice. Prices were extremely high for basic dishes. Significantly overpriced, best bread west of Italia, tasty food, pleasant service. I will be back. read more

There are many reasons for this bad review but from all was the fact that it seemed like prices were adjusted. So expensive for no reason. Pasta appetizer $44.95??? Very bland pasta, scallopini picata had no taste, not even average food!! Substitute vegetable side and paid $15 up-charge for a side pasta dish. Ridiculous!! Rigatoni pasta with vodka sauce $49.95 and a $15 up charge for sausage. BEWARE OF THE " SPECIALS" !!! truffle pasta was $75!!!!!!!!! Also they were claiming a "special" pasta but the exact same dish was on the menu at a lesser price. Restaurant was empty, our waiter was great but the owner seemed bothered that we were there. Short sighted owner, you got us one time but will never be back. Warning others against these "gouging" practices!! Much better Italian restaurants in Naples, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Admittedly a favorite but we have been here the past two nights. Amore was cooking dinners for people the day after hurricane Ian even though they could not open because they new people where in need. This was Thursday night. And they opened on Friday. Even with all the deviation around us the Amore team did not disappoint. A true reflection of the Floridian perseverance and grit. This goes beyond customer service and to the the heart of what Amore has created....a giving, selfishness and gratitude culture on top of a wonderful ambience and food. No one does it better. Wow! Everything here is severely over priced and tasteless except for the bread. Have been to almost every high end place in Naples and this is less than average food and service. How can you serve a tasteless watery Caesar salad for $20? $42 simple pastas were less than memorable. Dated decor and brusque service are not a plus. read more

2 Stars mainly because food is ridiculously overpriced for what you're getting, and the fact that there are TONS of better Italian restaurants in Naples for cheaper. The cheapest appetizer is a $21 caprese salad and the rest go up from there. Seemed like most if not all of the pastas were boxed, which is not a problem, until you're paying $30+ dollars for it. Insane when you can get freshly made pasta for cheaper in Naples. On top of that, the restaurant was fairly empty which was no surprise. Service was okay, but have no anticipation to come back. Pretentious atmosphere and amateur waiter. Linguine and clams was overly salted to the point that it could not be eaten without raising your blood pressure. Food is below average and extremely expensive and overpriced for what it is. Go to Parmesan Pete for the real thing without pretense, stuffy waitstaff, and overpriced food and drink. read more

After reading many reviews and hearing from friends we finally tried Amore. Why did it take us so long to visit this exceptional dining establishment? It was a very good experience! Beautiful restaurant. Our server Brian greeted us at the front door and welcomed us in. Don't think that he knew at that moment that he would be our server for the evening, but it sure was a plus for us to have him assist us. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu explaining everything well including the many specials of the night. We chose two expertly prepared entrees off the standard menu of chicken francese and truffled tagliatelle pasta with sliced filet. Both were prepared perfectly. We finished off our evening with a shared piece of lemon mascarpone cake. Magnificent! We will return soon. read more

Amore is a very nice upscale Italian restaurant near downtown Naples that brings locals with wealth to dine The wine list is predominantly Italian with California wines as well. They have the moderate priced ones and the blue chip like Da Forno and Solaia The taster we had was delicious. A lobster filled gnocchi with an Alfredo sauce with shaved truffles on top. I don t know about you but anything that has the fragrance and taste of truffles is awesome The rest of the meal was very good just not as good as those NY Italian restaurants like in Little Italy Regardless this is serious food with a serious wine list Mangia! read more

Excellent Italian with great service. Located in a strip mall you might second guess when you pull up. Inside is a nice blend of low lit bar along with nice quite main dining area. Owner greets you and checks on your throughout. Server was very attentive and drinks were prompt. The bread was warm and fresh. We got the Clams which were ok and the Calamari which was fresh and delicious. I hade the House Salad which had fresh ingredients and a great salad dressing. I had the Veal with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce. It was fresh and serviced with roasted veggies. Really enjoyed it although the portion size was on the small side. Wife had the Lobster and Scallop Parpadelle. Great tasting pasta with a nice size Maine lobster tail and Scallops. Overall pleasant evening and solid food. Would recommend if in the area. read more

What upset me the most was the $20 that I was charged for a very average glass of Cabernet. I questioned the waitress if they made a mistake and she said no, that was Price. Up-charge to share an appetizer. We ordered the cáprese appetizer and the waiter asked if we were going to share. As with most appetizers, in my experience, they are shared. They delivered it on two plates , which we did not ask for and the up charged was $3. The appetizer of two slices tomato, a very small amount of roasting peppers and about 2 oz of cheese costs $21.00. The flavor was bland and the portion small. The wrong sauce was put on my seafood pasta. It was tasty so I ate it anyway. My friend had the veal and it was chewy. The wine selection was enjoyable. if you split an entree I understand an up charge but appetizers are usually shared . I feel it is not reasonable to up-charge for sharing an appetizer and for the reasons above I would not recommend it. . read more

Don't waste your date night on this place. It's so loud you can barely hear the person next to you. Our server had to repeat the laundry list of specials twice because the other end of the table had no idea what she said. Luckily, she was very sweet and obliged. Great server btw. Also, I don't know who is making the policies there but not allowing women to wear fashionable hats inside is ridiculous. A baseball cap I can understand but when it's a nice hat that is obviously an accessory of the outfit, the policy is out of line. How humiliating it was for my friend to have to remove her hat in front of our party and sit all through dinner visibly uncomfortable with her appearance. Shame on you and your policy for causing this. In addition to this backwards nonsense, they served all the men their entrees first! Again, that was new for me. As for the food, it was mediocre. The Cesar salad was truly the worst I've ever had. I think they took all the ribs of the romaine and used it for our salads. There was barely any leafy parts to it and the dressing was just bland. I also had the vodka sauce for my entree which had a weird flavor that I can only describe as possibly burnt. I only say this because my husband makes a great vodka sauce but he has scorched it on occasion so I know what that tastes like. Anyway, I don't write reviews ever but I couldn't stay silent about this one. I think that restaurants forget that just because they're located in Naples, that doesn't automatically make them great. Awful experience is being kind. Might need to take out a loan if I plan on going here ever again, which I won't. Unless you have $31.03 for 2 cannolis which is dough and creme, DONT GO HERE. Are you kidding me? Not even powdered sugar on top or the ends dipped in nuts or chocolate chips. Considering how expensive they were, I thought they would have gold on them....To add, presentation was awful in styrofoam and a "grocery-store" thank you bag to go.
