We are babysitting in 5he UWS again. We were out for brunch and decided to return here for brunch. Our second experience here was excellent again. An extremely nice small unpretentious restaurant with great food. This time, I had the Murray breakfast sandwich which had salmon, eggs and a potato pancake on a brioche bun. My wife opted for the grilled cheese with avocado. Both dishes were great. Well worth going to when near Broadway and 79. read more

4 for food, 5 for location, 3 for service. This new restaurant is small and busy. We went for brunch on Sunday. The restaurant looked full, but we were seated within 5 minutes. My companions loved their French toast (i thought the middle was a little too mushy). I got simple scrambled eggs with potato kugle. The eggs were fluffy. I liked the kugle, but it was more like a flat potato pancake. I expected it to be as thick as the toast. The bacon (2 strips) was crisp the way I like it. The food all came out together which was a plus. But our server didn't refill our coffee, bring butter, etc. We had to request these items more than once. Note: our friends who live nearby said their chicken soup is really good. read more

Got takeout and picked up my order for lunch. The herb omelette was so yummy. And even though I don't like kugel that much the potato kugel was delicious would definitely eat that again. Unfortunately the pancakes were not good at all. They had too much baking soda/powder and had a very unpleasant aftertaste. Ambiance inside looked nice and people were friendly. Wish the pancakes didn't disappoint. read more

I dropped by here for ... brunch Although it was really busy on a Saturday, the service was still great. Our waiter was friendly, kind and attentive. We ordered some eggs which came with potato kugel and our choice of bread. Everything was great (although the kugel could have a tad more flavor.) But the maple bacon and the fresh squeezed orange juice were really stand outs. They also offer unlimited black coffee, so it was nice to have my coffee topped off a few times. I sat with my back against that wall at a table with there is a bit of a barrier in that part of the wall, so it was a tad uncomfortable and a little tight but nothing that wasn't managable. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and service and will definitely return in the future! read more

Enjoyed breakfast there at 9AM on a Friday. A quiet spot with good service and both indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the decaf coffee and the way they make their omelets. read more

Brunch - BACO Omelet. With bacon, avocado, onions and cheese. Comes with bread and a round hash brown potato. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - New York, New York

Loved this place! I got the "Kitchen Sink" eggs, cheddar, bacon, potato pancake on a brioche bun! Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Eggs were fluffy! Bacon was crispy and just enough cheese. The brioche bun was amazing, Came with a side salad...this was not just a salad, with all the fixings, not sure what they put on for dressing but it was a damned good proper salad, hate when I get a breakfast sandwich and the eggs are cooked to hell and dry, NOT this place. Kenneth was so nice and attentive. I asked for the potato cake to be put to the side, a fancy hash brown it was so good! Alcohol menu prices are for all day! Place is nice and clean and relaxing vibe. Will be back! read more

Best brunch spot near Central Park--hands down! The restaurant was spotless, and the attention to detail was evident, right down to serving my favorite sparkling Saratoga water. Our waiter, Clint, was exceptional--kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was phenomenal! The eggs, potatoes, and bacon were perfectly cooked, and the chicken soup was a standout. One of the best brunches I've ever had. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Amazing service, delicious food, and a clean, inviting atmosphere--what more could you ask for? read more

What delicious food that is somehow both hearty and light. Great service. I'll certainly be back here.

Great UWS spot for brunch / lunch. They have a good selection of breakfast & lunch items. Very small seating area, with great service. I've been several times and it's always the same staff. Love their sandwiches, all of which come on fresh bread. The Herb Crusted Chicken Breast sandwich (pictured) might've one of my favorite sandwiches in the city. Huge portion and absolutely delicious. read more

Came here for brunch on Sunday around noonish and was pleasantly surprised! Service seemed a tad overwhelmed and food definitely took awhile but really enjoyed our food. This is the best breakfast sandwich on the UWS. At $17 on a brioche bun it doesn't get any better than this. Run here. Everything looks really great. Next time I go I will def try the pancakes. Great staff. Great spot. read more

Unfortunate that our order was mistaken for someone else's, but the servers could easily see we were sitting with nothing to eat or drink for nearly an hour. Even having to ask for our coffee after 1/2 hour didn't do the trick, we had to leave, cannot recommend. read more

Service was exceptional and food was great. Very nice and cosy local place on the upper west side of the city.

This place is a wonderful little spot for breakfast or BRUNCH. They have a great counter with fresh baked goods, friendly staff and GREAT music! We opted for the chicken soup, bacon cheeseburger, loaded cruncher Caesar salad, and the best old school tuna salad. The chicken soup is light, fresh and flavorful 10/10 recommend. Bacon Cheeseburger was perfectly cooked (medium) and the bacon was crispy! The burger comes with a slaw and finger fries that were both insanely good. 10/10 Best old school tuna salad... the name says it all! The multigrain bun was good but I feel like it would be better to have a scoop on one of the salads. The sandwich came with a small side salad with ginger vinaigrette that was amazing. 10/10 Loaded Cruncher Caesar Salad had great chicken, bacon, croutons, and cheese. The Caesar salad dressing was light and not very flavorful. I would recommend either getting it on the side or opting for another dressing. We grabbed a chocolate chip cookie on the way out the door and it was soft doughy and loaded with chocolate chips in it and on top. Overall great experience and would highly recommend if you're looking for a place in the upper west side. read more

Best tuna melt I've had a while. Lovely service and very homey. 10/10 all around. Breakfast sandwiches are all also fantastic

So I came across Brunch on Door Dash and the menu sounded interesting so I decided to place an order. I also looked at the reviews and they mostly seemed positive. I was in the mood for a salad but not Caesar dressing so I ordered the Caesar salad with the jalapeno bacon (umm yes!) and roasted chicken. The salad came with celery which I thought was odd-couldn't ask them to remove it so I just had to pick through it. I requested caramelized onions in the salad but instead was given maybe a handful if best of red onion in it. (Hence the review not 5 stars). I got ranch dressing instead of the Caesar and it was pretty good, not sure if homemade but good. The salad had a pretty generous amount of chicken and it was seasoned well too. The croutons were homemade which I definitely appreciated. I also was given two small pieces of focaccia with everything seasoning on it as well. I really enjoyed the salad, it was pretty filling and I think I would order from them again-the thanksgiving sandwich looked good as did a few other menu items. read more

The food was delicious! The potato kugel is yummy and Cici was the sweetest server ever.

Great food. Very fluffy omelettes. Really friendly. Charming space with a bit of outdoor seating.

Breakfast is hearty and delicious. Great service and just down the street from our hotel, so we went twice during our NYC stay

Great blueberry muffins! Service is super friendly especially with kids. Right near the Hotel Belleclaure on the West Side.

Nice addition to the neighborhood! Like a diner/sandwich shop BUT with a cute "homemade" personality. The kind of place you might stumble upon in the Village. Interesting twists on foods you know and love. I had the High Tea sandwich and it was really good. read more

Solid breakfast experience. Well cooked eggs (we had omelets & over-easy), good toast (ask for butter if you want; it comes dry), fun and tasty potato kugel discs in lieu of hash browns, and colorful little salad cups if you don't want potatoes. Coffee was very good, came in a nice sized attractive mug, and was frequently topped up while we ate by our pleasant and attentive waiter. Nice view of the Apthorp building across the street and a well-landscaped stretch of the Broadway median. read more
