    Crispy French toast

4 for food, 5 for location, 3 for service. This new restaurant is small and busy. We went for brunch on Sunday. The restaurant looked full, but we were seated within 5 minutes. My companions loved their French toast (i thought the middle was a little too mushy). I got simple scrambled eggs with potato kugle. The eggs were fluffy. I liked the kugle, but it was more like a flat potato pancake. I expected it to be as thick as the toast. The bacon (2 strips) was crisp the way I like it. The food all came out together which was a plus. But our server didn't refill our coffee, bring butter, etc. We had to request these items more than once. Note: our friends who live nearby said their chicken soup is really good.

BACO Omelet. With bacon, avocado, onions and cheese. Comes with bread and a round hash brown potato.

Enjoyed breakfast there at 9AM on a Friday. A quiet spot with good service and both indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the decaf coffee and the way they make their omelets.

Got takeout and picked up my order for lunch. The herb omelette was so yummy. And even though I don't like kugel that much the potato kugel was delicious would definitely eat that again. Unfortunately the pancakes were not good at all. They had too much baking soda/powder and had a very unpleasant aftertaste. Ambiance inside looked nice and people were friendly. Wish the pancakes didn't disappoint.

Loved this place! I got the "Kitchen Sink" eggs, cheddar, bacon, potato pancake on a brioche bun! Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Eggs were fluffy! Bacon was crispy and just enough cheese. The brioche bun was amazing, Came with a side salad...this was not just a salad, with all the fixings, not sure what they put on for dressing but it was a damned good proper salad, hate when I get a breakfast sandwich and the eggs are cooked to hell and dry, NOT this place. Kenneth was so nice and attentive. I asked for the potato cake to be put to the side, a fancy hash brown it was so good! Alcohol menu prices are for all day! Place is nice and clean and relaxing vibe. Will be back!

Great brunch spot in UWS. Service was friendly and attentive. The waiter had great recommendations. The eggs with lox were excellent - cooked perfectly. It's a small space - recommend coming early or with a smaller group.

My sandwich totally hit the spot! Everything tasted fresh, it was a good size and the combination of flavors was great. Our server was attentive and took care of us. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, but for a lowkey catch up with a friend brunch, this spot is fantastic!

Scrambled eggs with lox, scallions and cream cheese. Served with both toast and a potato pancake.

Love Brunch! This neighborhood eatery is a welcomed addition to the UWS neighborhood. The food is consistently yummy, great value and the staff is very pleasant. A Happy Hour has been added so check out the days and times!

Best brunch spot near Central Park--hands down! The restaurant was spotless, and the attention to detail was evident, right down to serving my favorite sparkling Saratoga water. Our waiter, Clint, was exceptional--kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was phenomenal! The eggs, potatoes, and bacon were perfectly cooked, and the chicken soup was a standout. One of the best brunches I've ever had. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Amazing service, delicious food, and a clean, inviting atmosphere--what more could you ask for?

Food was yummy and healthy! Enjoyed my bagel and Lox. My friends enjoyed their applewood bacon! The service was a tad slow, waitress forgot the refill waters, but the staff was kind overall! Cute little place! Would eat here again!

We loved brunch at Brunch. Before going to see the play Purpose on Broadway, we stopped for a bite. We loved the quaint establishment and the food was excellent!

    The Baco omelette.

I visited and reviewed last year and went back this year. It is still the best breakfast I've ever had in the city. The service is great; we never felt rushed and if you sit outside on a cool morning the ambiance is perfect upper west side. Inside is great if the weather is unfriendly. This is always my favorite for breakfast or lunch.

The food was delicious and we had good service. It felt like a small local breakfast place, which was comfortable. My fiancé wasn't hungry, but ended up eating half of the food. We will be back.

After a rather…read moredisappointing recent experience at a poke shop in Fort Lee, I decided to give them a try and I was happy that I did! First, the name - I was wondering if this was a chain since I know one in Fort Lee, and a new one sprang up on 9W/Sylvan Ave. in Englewood Cliffs... and the lady told me they're all independently owned under same "theme/name." Ok, now that we got that out of the way... (asked nobody ever but still) THEY ARE BACK after closing for a month due to Coronavirus, now for a week. The owner lady told me people still think they're closed, so I wanna get the word out there to come SUPPORT your local business! PLACE - Bright and meticulously clean with well laid out menu items. Poke isn't on their circulated menu so took a picture with updated pricing. FOOD - I ordered Tuna poke and Spicy Salmon poke ($14 ea.) and I was not disappointed. There was a sushi chef on premise working with chunks of sashimi fish preparing orders. When I got home to eat, I noticed the fish was really fresh, with sensible usual poke toppings, and I love the fact that they actually use fresh chunks of salmon for their "Spicy Salmon" unlike many joints that cut corner by using the mashed up stuff with less fresh fish and fillers. They also veered towards light in terms of sriracha mayo and shoyu which preserved the taste just right, and I poured a bit of ponzu to suit my own taste. Portion was generous and came with a bowl of hot miso soup which was just perfect. Only minor feedback would be that rice was a bit blocky-cooler than I'd have liked so took wee bit more effort to eat together with the toppings... but not a big deal. With recent rise in delivery apps you might be tempted to (not even sure if they participate), but you know how they kill the restaurant's margin... So get off your butt and just go pick it up yourself... you need fresh air / groceries anyway right? :) Thank you for a delicious dinner and we'll be back.

The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

We had high expectations but when the salad and the half of a deviled egg arrived I was honestly surprised. The presentation felt cheap and the portion was super small. The salad barely had any dressing. The main dish I got was lobster - good flavor but overcooked and rubbery. Tiny portion that left me wanting more food. Hubby had the steak, they did not give option how you would like it and it arrived medium/well done. The portions were so tiny I was still hungry, for the price I honestly wish we went to omakase instead. Oh. And they automatically add 25% service. Owner is very friendly and service was polite but for the price it felt like we got robbed. Not sure we'll be back, really wanted to like it but the only memorable thing was the music and ambience. I felt compelled to review because I really wanted the owners to see this and make changes. The potential is there but with many restaurants around, there simply wasn't anything special. Pls be transparent to your guests and include info about prix fixe menu on reservation next time, and perhaps give your guests more value for the money. $150 should at least be 4-5 course for the size that was provided.. I'm so sad that we didn't like it bc we live so close :(

The Food: * Starters: The hummus and muhammara with pita were great. They also gave us bread with EVOO--it looked perfectly crusty on the outside and soft in the middle, and it tasted just as good as it looked! * Mains: I couldn't decide between lamb and salmon. The waiter suggested lamb, but I went with the salmon and it was the best decision. The citrus sauce on top was divine! Wish it came with rice instead of just veggies (though the veggies were tasty). The Service: The staff was friendly and service was good, but a heavy language barrier made it hard to understand the waiter, so he wasn't very helpful with menu questions. We really liked the hot crusty bread served with a spread and it also tasted good with babaganoush. The pita bread was stale and burnt which came out with the babaganoush. The beet goat cheese walnut was refreshing. The fried calamari was crispy and went well with tahini based sauce. The lamb shishi kebob was tasty but the portion was very small and it was chewy. There was too many overcooked carrots as a side. You coould park on the street or valet parking was available.

Service has always been friendly and attentive, no complaints there! I tried the Dubai chocolate, which was really good, but the shakes (cookies & cream and s'mores) weren't my favorite. I had the cookies and cream shake twice and the smores once. My gf's sister had the chocolate shake. They all tasted more like ice cream with toppings, and the s'mores shake oddly had a strawberry flavor to it--maybe a machine mix-up. Luckily, my girlfriend likes strawberry, so it worked out! We all tasted the strawberry and thought it was strange. My gf's sister agreed the chocolate shake just tasted like ice cream blended with milk. The shakes could be better. I am a big burger and shake fan so that's a little disappointing. Overall, this place is great and definitely worth coming back to.
