Same reliable experience that you expect from any Brunch Cafe restaurant in the suburbs. Familiar, yet slightly different menu -- large portion sizes, good prices, friendly service, and consistently flavorful cooking. For me, the only criticisms I can really have are around the parking, which is due to their location in the shopping center. It's not the easiest to access and you can experience some challenges with backing up here because of parking on an incline and having traffic come from around the corner. The waiting space is also doesn't have a ton of furniture, so sometimes people opt to stand outside while waiting for a table. With that said, the interior of this restaurant is fairly spacious with comfortable furniture for dining. I enjoy the decor which gives it a signature look but isn't over the top where it feels tacky. The prices here are a little lower than some nearby options, which I feel lends to some of the popularity. Like Egg Harbor, i do like how the menu is a bit more interesting than the standard pancake, french toast, waffle, skillet, etc. options you'll find at a lot of brunch restaurants -- with slightly more interesting options sunch as lox plate, brunch frittata, lemon poppy seed crepe, stuffed waffles, carot cake pancakes, sweet potato skillet, etc. Food came out fresh and hot, with good textures throughout. In particular, make sure to try the corned beef hash here as it's probably the crispiest of anywhere I've had in the suburbs. Also the pancakes are very fluffy with a slight malty flavor - also a standout item. Overall, well worth a visit for a delicious and reliable brunch at a good price. Given the prices of a lot of the lunch options in this area - it's difficult to get a better value at this quality nearby. read more

We came on Mother's Day and there was not an empty seat in the house. Thankfully they take reservations so we got seated quickly. We were able to get a booth and the booths are quite large. You could most likely fit 3 people on both sides. Our server was quick the only downfall is after we got our food we weren't checked on again but I assume that was outside of the norm due to the holiday. I got the chicken caprese and throughly enjoyed it. My husband got the stuffed French toast. I was able to snag a bite but it was way too sweet for me I don't know if I would finish it. I've been to Brunch Cafe in Deerfield a few times in the past two weeks and each time the food has been amazing. I've gotten the sweet potato scramble and the garden omelet. This was an absolute wonderful restaurant. I went there for my birthday. ( didn't tell the waitress I doubt they do anything) but nonetheless, everything was extremely good. We started off with a Spicy Bloody Mary, and I had many mimosa's ( it was my birthday ;) don't judge ) The restaurant was extremely great at their decor, was so nice and open. I got the avocado toast ( which I will say lacked in flavor... A-LOT ) they had tomatoes and balsamic, which I have never seen on avocado toast, didn't really compliment the dish well. The restaurant was so open and beautifully decorated, with great color scheme. Lilly was our waitress and she was beyond wonderful. Really enjoyed my brunch experience here on Wednesday. I ordered the Blueberry Bliss from the pancake section of the menu and it was fantastic. Possibly the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had. Three thick pancakes covered with big sweet blueberries and a vanilla glaze. Yum! My wife really liked her veggie skillet and my daughter really enjoyed her strawberry banana crepes. The restaurant was pretty crowded, but we were able to be seated quickly. Our waitress was pretty attentive given how busy the restaurant was. My wife brought me here after enjoying brunch with a friend here, and her recommendation was spot-on! I very much enjoyed breakfast at Brunch-Cafe, and her breakfast (which she shared) was quite delicious. We ordered their fresh-pressed juice cocktails to start, and they were delicious and a nice vitamin-packed starter. I tried the veggie panini, and loved how delicious it was. The cheese was melty and satisfying, the grilled portabella mushroom was quite savory, and the veggies were prepared just right. The soup of the day was a tomato basil soup that both my wife and I absolutely loved. Service was fast and friendly, and we liked the comfortable seating. They have a nice big dining area, so they should be able to accommodate lots of customers even during rush hours. We particularly enjoyed how brightly lit the dining area was, and how clean everything was. There's plenty of parking right up front and around the corner, and it's a convenient shopping center to get in and out of, so we'll definitely be coming to the Brunch Cafe more regularly. read more

I met a friend here at 7:30am on a Friday for a quick breakfast before work. I absolutely loved the layout and decor upon entering. Everything is so bright and modern! I was shocked when I realized how big this place actually is! The hostess at the front greeted us with a smile and a pep in her step. There wasn't a ton of customers, so we were able to be sat right away and our server was very attentive. Brunch cafe has a pretty decent brunch and lunch menu, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offer smoothies, fresh pressed juices, AND mimosas. YUM TO ALL. The food was delivered quickly, and everything was delish. I wish the brunch potatoes were a bit crispier, but I survived. The avocado toast had wonderful flavoring and texture and my fresh pressed beet juice was PERFECTION. I didn't eat the fruit, as it wasn't in season and tasted like refrigerator, so that was kind of a bummer. I could definitely see myself hosting a meetup here in the near future. Hidden gem! Very pleasantly surprised by this bright, clean, modern, busy spot in a nondescript strip mall. I was first impressed by the amazing fresh rye bread/toast. This is now my favorite brunch spot in Lake/Cook County. While there are many similar concepts around the area I feel like my experience here was an all around win! Firstly the parking situation is great as it is a fairly large plaza, the wait times are fine even on a Saturday morning- we got seated immediately. Love the ambience here too- so many booths!! The menu is vast and our food came out in rapid speed- around 5-10 minutes after we ordered! Fresh ingredients and all around tasty and you can make many adjustments to your liking! The Brunch Cafe just opened in Deerfield so we gave it a try. We have eaten at other locations before. I think because the location is new it was very busy on the Sunday morning we visited. My thought is that in a few months things will slow down a bit as there is a lot of breakfast competition in the area. My husband ordered a make your own omelette which came with hash browns and toast. I tried the stuffed potato pancakes. We enjoyed both. Went in on a Tuesday at about 9:40am and this was my first time here. The interior is lovely. Very bright and welcoming. I was eating alone and was seated in a booth. Drinking water was not provided which was odd. I perused the menu for a loooooong time before anyone came to take my order. At least she brought coffee when she finally did come. I don't know if they're trying to go for a more leisurely vibe here since it's called BRUNCH Cafe, but I didn't enjoy having to wait so long for my waitress and the fact that no one brought water until I flagged down a busboy halfway into my meal is... weird and not great. If a busboy was meant to take care of my water, he didn't and the waitress should have rectified that. I don't know if they expect you to ask for water, but I doubt it. It was probably an oversight. I also worked my way through my cup of coffee very quickly and no one ever came to refill it. I know this place hasn't been open long so I guess they're still trying to work out service. Keep working on it, y'all, because the food was very decent for the price. I had the South of the Border which was a quesadilla with egg, diced bacon, tomato, green onion, and cheese. There was avocado and more diced tomato garnishing the quesadilla and also a cup of salsa which was quite good. So the food overall was very good and gave me the confidence to try other menu items in the future. When you order a dish your first time someplace and it isn't good, it makes you not want to try anything else on the menu. But based on the item I ordered, I would try others. The food is always what's most important to me since the most amazing service in the world will not elevate crappy food. That being the case, I'll come back at some point and see if service has improved, because the food seems to be solid, based on the dish I ordered. One more thing. The quality of the coffee is extremely important for a breakfast/brunch place IMO and this was disappointing. Intelligentsia is... ok., but there are much better roasters in the area who could service this restaurant. Additionally, the to go cup of coffee I got before leaving tasted bitter and burned. It's entirely possible that the first cup I was poured was the same, but I didn't taste that one while it was black, I put half and half in right away. But it still didn't taste great. I'm judging this restaurant against other breakfast/brunch places in the area and it's not better than Egg Harbor in Glenview, it has a long way to go to reach that level. But it's also better than a number of other places like Butterfield's for example. read more

Overall, it is a great brunch (or probably lunch) spot. There is tons of parking, and it's in a convenient location. It was fun to see the waitstaff all in Chicago sports attire, so that might be some one-off type of thing, since I doubt they wear that all the time. Our waitress was definitely nice, but she basically disappeared for very long stretches. It wasn't busy enough or understaffed to necessitate such long gaps. This got frustrating as time went on. Later, we wanted water, which is usually given rather freely and early on. But I had to crane my neck looking around for either her or another employee so we could get water. It felt very hot in there and they might have had the AC off or very low, but I wanted something cold because I was getting uncomfortable. I didn't see her for about 10 minutes at least, and I couldn't get anyone to give me the time of day. Finally, a manager (I think) came over to see how everything was, and she was very nice and got us water right away. Despite the complaint above, the atmosphere was overall very welcoming and had comfortable seating! And the food was some of the best brunch I've had in the area. I liked my omelette a lot - maybe cook the onions more next time since they were kind of raw still. But the flavors were terrific, and it's clear they put lots of thought into the menu and various ingredients. It's not a cookie-cutter, minimal effort type of spot. The menu is varied enough where most (if not all) can find something they like! My friend got the breakfast panini and could only finish half of it - she seemed very impressed with it. read more

We were excited about Brunch Cafe opening nearby because we love having new, interesting restaurants to add into our breakfast rotation. It took us a few weeks to get there, but tried it out on a Tuesday morning for my birthday. We arrived around 7:30 and were greeted and seated right away. Unfortunately, there was some disconnect after we were seated because we weren't approached by a server. After ten or fifteen minutes, I eventually returned to the hostess and let her know we were still waiting. She was apologetic and let the server know right away. When the server came over, she just asked "Are you ready?" and waited for us to order. She later apologized - and part of our bill was generously comped - but it was a strange and sort of off-putting start. The menu is extensive with options for scramblers, skillets, omelets, pancakes, waffles and crepes. I opted for a Belgian waffle with raspberries. I was pleasantly surprised that the raspberries were fresh and not in a syrup. The waffle was tasty. My husband had a skillet and said it was "pretty good." Service improved greatly after the original snafu, so I'm hopeful that's what an experience would be like on a normal day. The food was good - nothing mind blowing. First of all, fairly run of the mill brunch place, nothing exciting or creative. I mean just look at the name of the place, one can't get more basic than that, no pleasant surprises here! I suppose if you're looking for a place to sate your hunger this could satisfy, just don't get too upset if there are eggshells in your order, as happened to my husband. We overlooked that, mistakes happen. Also overlooked was the request for well done hash browns being ignored, one can see from the pic that they are NOT well done. But, the egregious thing was no mistake- it was a conscious decision made by the management. My meal came with toast or pancakes. I asked my server if I could sub plain pancakes for the seasonal pumpkin pancakes, to which she responded, "yes". Our meals were fine, including the eggshells, and the pancakes were good too. The bill reflected a $3.50 up-charge for the pumpkin pancakes, a charge I hadn't been forewarned about nor anticipated. As we payed the bill I quietly expressed my displeasure to the manager, not at the up-charge but at not being told ahead of time to expect this and thereby not being given a choice if I wanted to spend an extra $3.50 on the seasonal vs plain pancakes. The manager's response was, "we assume our customers would know there would be an up-charge." I gently reminded them what "assuming" does. I've been coming to brunch Café NILES, Illinois for about a year. I usually like to go during the week when it's not crazy busy early in the morning and the reason it's crazy busy is cause they got a great menu of great selections of really great food. I was so impressed and overwhelmed by it But I've tried many different things on the menu. I especially like getting the skillet because I watch my diet and eat as healthy as I can. I like to get the skillet with grilled chicken spinach green and red bell peppers. Spinach and basil and tomatoes I also do a little side of that delicious country gravy, which I recommend highly. They serve Organic coffee it's really good. And finally they have a very friendly staff! I have a regular server her name is Donna she's the bomb she is very attentive and such a pro! She always greets me a smile and by my name, she's wonderful. So we came here during their first week being open so I can't really give them 5 stars quite yet. We walked in and it was a very busy Sunday as expected. The friendly hostess said it would be about 15 min and we were seated pretty close to her estimated time. The place is pretty spacious with booths on the side and tables in the center. There's also another area with a diner like counter service and more tables. Service was friendly and kinda efficient but no biggie, like I said, it was the first week. I asked for coffee refills from 3 separate staff and couldn't get a refill. Pancakes came but no syrup for 10 min later. You know when pancakes sit around they get cold so... However, Food was really good and oh I forgot, they have delish bloody Mary's, mimosas so u guess they serve liquor. Would I come back, heck yes.
