While visiting family in Minnesota, we were taken to Bruegger's Bagels in Apple Valley. First time there and found the bagels to be excellent. The service was very friendly, and the manager had good knowledge of her shop and of the bagels. The bagels were so good that we bought a baker's dozen and packed them in our suitcases to fly home to California. We shared some with a friend of ours who is from New York City and he thought they were good too. Bruegger's Bagels is something to look forward to on our next visit to family in Minnesota. read more

New management please! If you want a fresh bagel in this area, unfortunately you have very few choices. This location continues to disappoint on service level and inefficiency. The wait is LONG to receive food because there are high school kids working who have not been properly trained on efficient production. Lack of team work and process. I don't blame the kids, they're just looking for work. It's the owners who aren't taking pride in their chain. Typically don't leave reviews, but this location is garbage. Past few online orders: Wrong type of bagel in my bag. Wrong cheese despite order asking for a specific one. Ordered a bakers dozen (13) got 12. Asked not to slice a bakers dozen, came sliced. One time came in no online order there. They claim it was stolen. Rather than make my order right away, made me wait 20 minutes after customers in line. The employees there are rude, and from what I can tell, cannot read. Not going here any longer. read more

I love Brugger's bagels. They are fresh and well stocked so you can always get the one you want. I bought a half dozen to go. Order at the register and wait for your name to be called makes it really easy. Service was excellent. Both staff members I interfaced with were friendly and my order was put together quickly. I've unfortunately had multiple poor experiences here, but today was especially frustrating. I ordered four bagels, and I had already agreed to wait for fresh bagels to be made for one of the sandwiches. After waiting about 25 minutes, they had me repeat my order for two of the bagels because they had no idea what was going on. Then, after waiting another five minutes, we finally got our order ... but it was missing a bagel. Besides the missing bagel, 2 of them were correct but On my sandwich, they added a sauce that doesn't even come on it originally, even though I had asked for no sauce, and they didn't add the second egg I paid for. They also completely forgot one of the bagels, which added another 10 minutes. After finally receiving all four bagels, I came home and realized they had put the wrong cream cheese on the bagel they had forgotten, and I couldn't eat it due to an allergy. Also while waiting for my food the guy in the back boiling the bagels had his phone sitting on the tray that the cooked bagels were going on so that was gross... However, the guy with the piercings at the register was super nice and helpful and his service was awesome but I unfortunately I can not say the same about the other staff. read more

I like Bruegger's, but this Apple Valley, MN location must have had 5-10 flies, flying around the lamps and store. That really put a damper on me returning. I even tried the Eagan location a few days later, as it's only about 2 miles further for me, and they had dust-covered walls and ceiling-lights that were directly over the "fresh" bagels. My sandwich was decent enough, but the health-code, in both stores, was very poor, in my opinion. Will not be returning to either location. read more

Bagels are good. They seriously need to spend a dollar on an "Order Here" sign. Staff seems to enjoy ignoring people standing if front of the prep area for 3-5 minutes before they tell you to "order over there". I bet if I asked for an interview the first question they would ask is "do you have any acting experience?" If I could give NO stars to review I would, I get that there are people training or in need of people but communicate it with the customers, the person in front of us that yes was " door dash " person she had been waiting for 15 mins from when the order was due, the coffee was out so my husband didn't get his coffee that we had already paid for, it was going to be another 5 to 10 mins for regular coffee to be brewed, I was in shock on how poorly ran this location was. It was my first visit to one of these locations. They didn't asked us if we wanted our bagels toasted so to get a cold bagel as we were driving to work was unpleasant. I am truly sad to have posted a review like this but overall poorly ran. I tried order two dozen bagels over the phone for the next day around noon on Monday. I was put on hold for ten minutes so I assumed they forgot I was on the line. (Not a big deal, they were maybe busy) I tried calling back later and they said "oh yeah, we forgot you were on the phone", no apology. I put my order in for pick up at 7:00 the next day.I arrived around 8 and stood in the lobby for about 5 min before someone acknowledged I was there. It was an hour after my order was supposed to be made and they had not even started. It was not busy, maybe one customer in the lobby with me. I come in here often and usually opt for smoked salmon bagel but sometimes I feel adventurous and go with the other ones. All their bagels taste pretty good although I wish some of them were bigger in size. I always order a regular dark roast coffee. Nice booth seating and rarely is it that busy where it's tough to find parking (shares the same lot with Panda Express). I always see smiles from the bagel crafters which is GREAT! read more

Needs serious training. Ordered a smoked salmon sandwich, and asked for it on a skinny cut bagel with no red onion. The worker proceeded to make the sandwich without skinny cutting. They did not have tomatoes ready to go, so she asked if I minded waiting. I did not mind. Then I had to stop her from putting on a red onion slice. When spreading the cream cheese, all she did was fill the bagel hole with it. It was otherwise not spread. Then after waiting for almost five minutes I was informed the store was totally out of tomatoes. She gave me my bag, and while waiting in line I saw she also forgot the cucumbers. When checking out, I informed the shift manager my sandwich was missing tomatoes and cucumber. She said nothing. At all. No offer to fix or apologize. When I normally come to bruggers bagels, i get great service and great bagels, but today was an exception. Firstly, my bagel was poorly made, having one pickle slice for the whole bagel. And then the service. I had a coupon for two free bagels, after filling out a short survey. When I told the cashier this, she didn't understand. It took two people to realize what coupon I had and how to ring me up. When they did ring me up, they added two bagels and then subtracted them, still charging me for the one bagel I ordered. I told the cashier this and she said that I "didn't understand" but I bought one bagel and it should be covered under the coupon, the cashier added two bagels and then acted like I got something free. WORST EXPERIENCE. I purchased an AVHS fundraiser BOGO card in the fall which they are currently not honoring because school is not in session due to COVID. There is no posting or sign indicating that school must be in session to use. The coupon expires in July... school isn't in session in the summer either. In June I went in to get half dozen bagels and cream cheese. The staff was masked as was I and the young woman who helped me was great. She even silced the bagels for me. They have two doors for entry and exit. This week I went in and there were 10 customers. I was one of two women wearing a mask the remaining 8 guys were not wearing one. Service is so important and this place is seriously lacking any basic skills of customer service. My daughter and I stopped after her orthodontist appointment to grab a half dozen bagels and cream cheese. We barely got through the door and one of the two workers was asking what she could get us. The other worker literally stood with her back to us in front of the bagel selection (blocking them so we couldn't see half of the baskets) and NEVER MOVED. I made Duke today. No celebration really. I probably won't return for a while. A while, meaning the Dukedom is sure to pass hands at least a few times. Over these last few years, there has been a steady decline in QSC; quality, service, and cleanliness. I think thats what those initials means anyway. It's been a while since I was in the food service industry. This last visit was pretty typical of what I usually make note of on my reviews. Tables not wiped down, including the one that one of the employees just finished break on. Bathrooms were rather dingy and in need of a clean mop. It was not busy. I still love their bagels, even better than Einstein Bros., but enough is enough when it comes to a clean table to eat on. read more

I work in the area so I visit this location often. There is a certain employee here who is unbelievably rude every time I'm here! At one point she slammed her hand down on the counter and said "what do you want?" Really? I understand it's early and busy, but if you are going to work in a place based on breakfast, make sure you are in a good mood! The first interaction I have with a human can make or break my day and whenever I see this girl, she breaks it! Second of all, 2 of the main ingredients I got every single time have been discontinied. The cheddar pesto bagel and the spinach omelette. Why would I return if I can't even order what I want and then get treated like crap for giving them MY money? Will not be returning any time soon. I was here a few months ago on a Sunday, the service was horrible. I can't remember exactly what I ordered but they forgot to add in the egg. After I sat down and noticed I went back to the counter waited a few minutes for someone to notice me then told them the situation. It was primarily a young, high school-ish staff. The young man apologized and said we would get a new one made, but didn't seem like he knew what was doing. First, they don't microwave the breakfast egg and sausage, they take the time to steam it, which no other Brueggers does that. Everyone is friendly and attentive.
