    a sandwich cut in half

Without a doubt, this Erbert & Gerbert's shop less than five minutes away from our new apartment gas been one of the best sandwich shop finds I've had in a long time! The conceptual approach to names after comic strip characters is brilliant, and then there's the food! Very well priced sandwiches, all under $7.00, offer quality ingredients from capicoli to lobster to more traditional ingredients on well baked bread. My Neptune Sandwich with minced lobster on whole wheat bread proved especially savory, with a right amount of mayonnaise and spices. My wife and my folks all enjoyed their Bornk and Narmer sandwiches and we all could agree to return for more Erbert's & Gerbert's!

I paid almost $7 for a sandwich with one thin slice of turkey on it. Ridiculous. Never going to an E&G again.

Been stopping by Nelson's for years! Need the perfect lunch...look no further!…read more Street parking available nearby! This is a no frills, but well-oiled machine of a deli! The line is usually out the door during the lunch rush, but don't worry...they'll get you through quick! Choose your line, order it up as is or custom, and grab your soda/chips to make it a meal and you are set! On my latest visit, I had the Old Fashioned, which was perfect! Made a few swaps including a french roll, no tomatoes, add pickles! Perfect lunch size, great value, and quality ingredients! There's a reason people will wait in line for this spot! I can't recommend it enough!

Parking is easy, as there is a free public lot about 50 feet away, and street parking is also available. The workers are always friendly, and often will give you cheese samples (yum). I have never had a bad sandwich here. Some favorites are the chicken salad, the prosciutto-fig-ricotta, and the sweet chorizo. Today, I ordered the Turkey club and the Sandwich of the Week, the La Tur, which had a cow, goat and sheep milk cheese with blueberry honey jam, greens and bacon. It was good, but don't get this sandwich unless you like cheeses that REALLY have that sheep flavor! There are a few small tables for 2 tucked inside by the register, and a couple of small tables outside in nice weather, but this is really more of a grab'n go place. We took these on the plane with us the next day, as we were traveling. Pro Tip: You can earn France 44 rewards at this location, just tell them you are a member when you get to the register!

It was the perfect consistency, seasoned really well, and can still taste the freshness of the tomatoes. For the melt, I got the truffle that came with double cream brie, gruyere, mushrooms, honey and black truffle. Everything was melted to perfection and the truffle was delicious without being overwhelming. The bread had a really good crunch to give some texture with the melty gooey cheese. Despite having so much cheese, it wasn't a super heavy meal. More of a take out place. There's a couple tables outside to eat but it was also really windy and hot the day I went so I ate pretty quickly.

I absolutely love the duck! The fact they had duck!! Customer service was top notch can't forget about my new buddy in the glasses. This is my MF place!! Top spot on all of the street. I'm looking forward to trying more on my next visit. Basically cleared out the hot dogs the other day and I was like the first person in the shop lol sorry but not sorry. I didn't try them before but they were damn good and shouldn't of been that damn delicious and they have that snap too. I got a chuck roast too for later in the month or maybe I'll try to do easter? Is it beef or duck that they have on Easter I wonder.. either this place is the dream spot of the MEATS (PAUSE! LOL that's me being goofy). Young and older people should fully support this place. I recently moved here but this is my JAMMY JAM!! I wonder if they had meat jam or pickled onions? Honestly somebody to build a bakery and cheese shop nearby so you just get my meat, cheese and bread all on one perfect block. Might have to find a job or buy a house near this place. If they haven't been here for 100yrs.. I hope you make it to that and another 100yrs. Btw who's the MF who made this pie?! This is the best apple pie ever had. St Paul Meat Shop markets themselves as St Paul's only whole animal butcher shop. One of our favorite items is the pastrami. Their pastrami is amazing! Made and smoked in house. It is sliced thin and makes a great sandwich. They also have turkey which I believe is cooked sous vide. Our last visit we picked up some skirt steak and their juicy lucy burgers. As we were checking out, there was one condiment that we forgot and it didn't appear that they had that. The very nice gentleman was able to locate some for us and helped us out. Quality and service has always been top notch.

The staff and the chef are extremely kind and welcoming. You can tell a lot of thought and love go into the making of this food. The menu is quite a bit smaller than I expected when I first came, but everything on the menu is a smashing success. I've only heard good things about this restaurant and it definitely lives up to the name. I actually ended up recommending this spot to too many friends, coworkers, and family members, I also came here on Mother's Day with my parents and they absolutely loved it. As far as food, I have tried the cream cheese wontons, the chicken sandwich (popular), the sticky jicama ribs (insanely good), and the rice noodle salad dish. Everything has been sensational thus far. The chicken sandwich has a really nice herbaceous aïoli, the sticky jicama ribs are absolutely incredible especially for anyone that is vegan or vegetarian, there are no meat products in this dish, but the flavor and texture would convince you of otherwise. It's hard to explain so I'm just telling you right now that you HAVE to try the sticky jicama ribs. This is not a drill. If you end with the Thai tea tres leches, you won't be disappointed. It is a classic tres leches with a twist, the Thai tea isn't as strong as traditional but goes perfectly with the other tres leches components. The presentation is unreal! Truly impressed by this restaurant, I will continue to come here and support this local establishment. Chef Eric Pham is so awesome to talk to, wishing them nothing but success!

We went on a Sunday night so did not need to wait for a table, but I would recommend reservations at a busier time. We were not ordering alcohol that night, so I chose a non-alcoholic beverage off the menu. To be honest, I didn't like it, but didn't want to say anything. I simply asked a question about it to the manager. And the owner brought me out a different drink that he thought I would like better. Talk about service. I ordered the jicama ribs, and they were some of the best faux meat product I've had in my life. Essentially, it was layers of tofu and jicama sliced and then pressed together and cooked. The visual and texture was very similar to meat. but it had its own flavor. I would compare it to items I've had at Buddhist monasteries in Asia. It was that good. The waiter was very attentive, but it was also wonderful having the owner come out and talk to us and other parties in the dining room. We weren't super hungry so we skipped dessert, but I definitely want to come back and try a few items on that menu as well. This is a restaurant that will make both meat eaters and vegetarian/vegan happy. My companion ordered pork and loved it, but since I didn't try it, I won't comment on it.
