Always love the vibe here. My friend said his egg dish wasn't that great and I said send it back. Mine was delicious. Southwestern. And the takeout bakery is so good.

Yum! is a great spot for a nicer-feeling sit down lunch. They have great soups and sandwiches, and the Patticake is one of the best cakes in the Twin Cities. I like that ordering is pretty quick at the counter, but you still get real silverware, napkins, and plates at your table - it just feels nice. The space is bright with large windows and lots of seating. My one wish is that you could upgrade the sandwiches to come with fries, you can only get them as an additional side.

First time eating here and won't be the last, you stand in line and order and they bring food out to you, difficult finding parking, very popular place and very busy, but very good too. We were slightly in a rush but food was served promptly and I want to go back and try everything on the menu, goggling others meals as the plates went by. Fun presentations too, they sell some gifts but they are outrageously expensive, a candle was $36.00, kids construction vehicle silverware very cute too but $12.00 for each piece. Love the food here.

    S'mores brownie

First visit to this location and it definitely lived up to the name - YUM! I stopped by while in the area grabbing coffee from a nearby local coffeeshop and picked up the s'mores brownie -- ooey, gooey, and absolutely delicious. If you love s'mores, you need to try it. The space is bright, clean, and welcoming. They also have cute merch for sale right near the checkout area. The display of sweet treats makes it very hard to choose just one... but hey, that just means I have to come back, right? Service was friendly, and I loved the screened-in patio -- such a smart touch to keep bugs out while enjoying the fresh summer air and breeze. Great spot for a treat, a bite, or just a little break in your day. I'll definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and had the chance to stop in when I was near by for work. I got a grilled cheese and the mac n cheese because I couldn't decide. The grilled cheese was decent, very cheesy which I look for. The mac n cheese was pretty basic but cheesey and I like the noodles they use. I also got a slice of the patty cake and a cookie to go. The cake was good and the cookie was delicious, I will definitely be back for cookies. The nice thing about this location is that they have designated free parking and plenty of seating inside. I will definitely return!

Love Yum! Kitchen and Bakery. Their breakfast is my favorite, but everything is delicious. Highly recommend the lemon chicken (see in pictures) - it's buttery, tender, juicy, everything you'd want! Service is quick and it has great natural light.

    Avocado toast and breakfast sandwich

We got takeout thru DoorDash. The food was packaged thoughtfully so it wouldn't get all messed up. It tasted good! We had the avocado toast, California egg, breakfast sandwich, and breakfast burrito. I especially enjoyed the avocado toast and breakfast sandwich (tho I'll say I added a bit of truffle hot sauce to the sandwich) but the roasted potatoes were AMAZING! I wish I had the recipe for them. I also had the mocha coffee and it's really good. The raspberry cupcake frosting tastes so good and I wish I know where they bought their raspberries... I think I like raspberries now.

Service was quick and delightful! Food was good portions and delicious! The miel coffee was fantastic. Bacon was thick cut and well done!

I've been a very loyal customer for some time. Since it gets very busy on Saturdays, my S.O. went to wait in the parking lot for YUM to open to buy a cake after he dropped me off at work. He said he got out to walk over to Starbucks to use the BR. When he came back, YUM called a tow truck and was towing my truck. After I found out, I immediately called YUM, asked why they would do that, explained what the truck was doing there and requested they pay for the $300 tow. The manager refused and said she would have the owner call me. Needless to say, the owner didn't. I needed my truck out. They don't care about you as the customer. I included a pic of how many times I've been there just this summer.

Sampler salad with tuna, egg, and chicken salad. It was so good y'all
    Jakesa T.

Zero complaints about Yum! I was in bakery heaven, right when I walked in seeing all of those treats behind the counter. They all looked so delicious. I wish my waistline would allow me to have one of each. I came with some friends, this place is really good for groups with an average amount of noise. You walk in order your food sit at a table and it's brought out to you, which was a really nice service. I ordered the sampler salad that came with egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad on a bed of fresh dressed greens and I'm pretty sure I would have licked the plate if it wasn't bad table manners. One friend got a lobster roll, which she enjoyed, and another got the shrimp tin salad, which she didn't really care for. I heard the s'mores Brownie was a 10/10, so will be back to try that later. There was a decent amount of parking on the street and also a small lot adjacent to the restaurant. Lots of options I think to please just about anyone.

I ordered the Fish and Chips and it was good but probably would have much better had I eaten there and not taken it to go. But, we also got the nut goodley bar and it was absolutely delicious! The chocolate they was fantastic, the peanuts added the perfect crunch, and the maple filling was perfect! Pro tip - eat there and take a nut bar to go!!

    Breakfast sandwich with sausage
    Lu Z.

Southwest breakfast is amazing with just enough spice. The French toast is amazing! My 7-year old said it's the best French toast he's ever tried. The breakfast sandwich was good but we didn't' like the sausage that much so we will get bacon next time.

A few notes to set the scene I went today for lunch on a lovely 70 degree Spring day after getting a haircut across the street to check some work emails, grab a beer and quick lunch to go order. Full disclosure: I'm slightly biased bc I grew up about a mile away and just moved home recently, so any cool vibey place in the old neighborhood has a special place in my heart. That said, it has a very cozy/hip neighborhood feel and understated sophistication for what is a pretty residential and quiet area of St Paul The 5/5 elements... Scott (who I think may be the owner?) is super cool, was serving/tending bar and running around to manage the patio while chatting me up & giving great recs on beer/food based on my half hearted description while I multi tasked on work nonsense. Awesome guy, and reason enough to check this place out The vibe/softly playing music and entrancing Twin Cities flyover footage playing in the background on the TV at the bar was oddly soothing Ordered brisket tacos, brussels sprouts, and fried chicken sandwich for myself + a friend to go. Yamahama, I'm not gonna cheat and double check the menu, but the brussels have a delicious umami flavor from either duck fat or facsimile that perfectly balances the acid from the balsamic/vinegar situation. Fried chicken sandwich is a KILLER, highly recommend. Came here for a date night, I got the Broiled Miso Salmon and one glass of wine and my partner got the Steak Frites and a coke. Our bill was $95! Ouch. The bad: If it were really really good I would be willing to pay for it, but I felt that the flavors in my dish, in salmon, carrot ginger sauce, and cauliflower, were whispering at best. I think the cauliflower could have used a sauce or been crispier, it just seemed boring and soggy. The steak and fries also came out cold :( my partner really knows his steaks and was not impressed, it was over cooked for medium rare and it had clearly been sitting too long. Not worth the $38! The good: The space itself is decorated really well, it's pretty dark but the theme comes together really nicely. I personally enjoyed the indie/pop music they had playing and it wasn't too loud. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay ($16) and they had a decent selection of wine but only a handful were by the glass. You can get glasses of by the bottle wines if you commit to getting at least two glasses though which is good to know. For me, the service really saved this review, our server was so nice and friendly, attentive but not overbearing. I would maybe grab a drink and an appetizer here sometime but will definitely hold out on dinner again until their prices chill or the food gets better. ‍ TLDR: Too expensive for the food quality

Fortunate to find two seats at the lovely bar; Myrial feels intimate no matter where you sit. St. Paul itself has an intimacy that makes the city feel perceptibly different from Minneapolis. While a warm welcome is not always integral to the Twin Cities, it's easier to break down that atavistic wall across the river. Alcohol had my flamboyant self making my presence known, and everyone behind the bar became a part of our evening. They were all good sports. Mixology and a curated wine list are part and parcel to Myrial's reputation, and we took advantage of its skills. Yet, the opening scene was simply a prelude to fantastic morsels that emerged from the kitchen. Myrial and Boucheron provided my best meals in the Twin Cities since we moved here. Everything tasted amazing. The menu changes, but the established greats remain. Along with most of their patrons, we loved the duck, Swedish waffles, and the Oyster mushrooms.
