I've been in the Tri-Cities for many years, and made my first visit to a Bruchi's the other day. Now I'm not a Cheesesteak expert, or even a sandwich expert for that matter, but I know decent food. My sandwich was good. I went with a cheesesteak & fries. My friend had a chicken sandwich, and I have to admit that her chicken tasted better--liked the seasoning better. The dining area is nicer and cooler than I thought it would be. The person taking our order was super nice. They also have a few bottled beers to choose from.

Ahhhh, the cheesesteak. What a great sandwich. What a wonderfully terrific blob of meat and cheese and bread and onions and peppers. "The northwest's best cheesesteaks" (xxxx check this slogan) the sign declares. I can't argue, since I haven't had any other cheesesteak in the northwest. But the cheesesteak represents nonconformity. It's an independent sandwich, refusing to bow to calorie restrictions or any single chef's interpretation. Bruchi's cheesesteaks, while tasty, are castrated. It's the cheesesteak's much tamer younger brother, Larry. Larry doesn't take chances. He plays it safe. He's a good guy, but if you're looking for dangerous or different, look elsewhere.

I ordered a ribeye and eggs with sourdough toast, instead I was served a NY instead with 1 slice of bread...not sourdough. Cook came out to correct me that the steak was indeed a ribeye. now, I have worked in a meat dept. for several years at my last employment, I was also a manager for a steakhouse...I definitely know the difference. I had the server remove the steak and she adjusted the bill. (if only I could post a picture of the receipt) the bill: $5 (2 eggs), hash browns $5.50, toast $3.50 (1 slice). So I was charged for side orders. okay, but $3.50 for 1 slice of bread and not even what I had ordered. Pathetic. Now, if it was one issue, no biggie, not a deal breaker, but there was multiple issues, especially when the cook (hahaha) came to my table to tell me I was wrong. I am a firm believer that the customer is not always right, but this time, I was. I really do hope the owner reads and replies to this post, because no manager/supervisor came to my table to address the issues.

Their online system was incredibly easy to navigate and I was able to place an order for a breakfast tray and a desserts tray. I called to confirm my order and spoke to someone in the store who said it had been received. Because they open early, they have a wide range of pick up hours that make it easy to grab your order before starting your day. I arrived around 7:45am and everything was ready for me at the counter. They also were sure to include plates and utensils. The food itself was all delicious. The breakfast tray came with these delicious savory rolls ups made with egg and bacon. The muffins were a hit and the scones were so moist and delicious. The dessert tray was also indulgent with yummy brownies and treats. Everyone enjoyed everything they had to offer. I also added to club sandwiches to my order to keep for lunch and they were so good! They offer full customization, even when you order ahead, so you can omit or add anything you'd like. Wanted to get a bite to eat somewhere that I could also watch the football game that was starting soon and found the Dugout sports bar. Walked in to a typical sports bar with several TVs playing various sports including the football game I was interested in watching. I was immediately greeted and told that I could sit anywhere. The menu was not extensive but more than adequate and simple. I ordered their burger and brew combo that came with choice of any beer, any burger on the menu and side salad or tots. Salad sounded too healthy to accompany a beer so I went with jalapeño tots. All for under $20 sounded perfect to me. The burger great and the generous amount of tots were more like freshly breaded deep-fried poppers than tots but were really good. The waitress was very pleasant and kept checking in on me without feeling like I was being pestered. Will definitely visit the Dugout again the next time I'm in town. Comfortable and fun environment.
