While I enjoy the burgers and shakes there. I ordered two hotdogs, with no buns, for my puppy. They charged me full price, as if I was ordering hotdogs with buns and all the toppings. For two hotdogs, it came to over $13 with tax. I can't believe they do that to customers. You can't buy them as a side. I WILL NEVER do business with them again. Do they really need money that bad?? Place is called Five Guys, should be called 2 hours IF you call them to remind them you paid them for food. Attempted to door dash a burger and fries to my buddy in the Hospital. He has surgery in the morning and a good non hospital burger is what he asked for.... After two dashers went and gave up and it had been in their system for over an hour I called Five Guys.... They still had not started the order. They should not do door dash as an option. They clearly have no care for to go orders at all. After the call we did ultimately get the order total time from order to delivery one hour and 52 minutes. I met the dasher at the door. We ordered five guys through grub hub for dinner. I had the basic hot dog. It was pretty good. I got to choose the toppings. It was cut in 1/2 length wise. Good food and Great service from the staff I've been here over 20 times and I have never had a problem with the food being bad or a long wait. I understand some people have to wait a long time for fries while their burger just waits until the fries are done but I don't have that problem because I don't get fries. The music can be loud at times if you don't like the loud music you probably should just get takeout. Took 40+ minutes for my food and the manager was walking around the whole time, not doing anything. She realized we were waiting an extended period of time, half way in to it. Then tapped a crew member on the shoulder and said "what's wrong with that customer? The crew member then came and asked for our name again and said "sorry I forgot about your order." The manager heard this and ignored the whole interaction. The employee was trying his best based on having no help by the manager, with 15 orders up. Sorry Five guys but you get an average on this one. Although the service was good, this store was dirty on a Sunday afternoon. It just didn't make for a good experience for me compared to other locations that I have visited. The best thing for me was that the fries were hot. They're cheaper than sit -down restaurants and tastier than most of them unless you're at a really, really good burger place in the Seattle area. Let's be real, there really aren't any fancy or super tasty burger places in Tri-Cities. So, if I'm craving a juicy burger around here, I'll stick with Five Guys. Hrm, I don't know about these five guys. Ive talked to A LOT of people who were pretty excited about it, so my expectations were kind of high.I really *wanted* to like the place. Came at what I would assume to be a peak time (Sunday lunch hour). Place was open and had a lot of room, and it was loud. Which, whatever, good place if you want to take the kids or something. Order process was pretty straightforward, and the staff was very friendly. Grabbed the ticket and we found a table. Went to go get my drink filled up, and apparently the fountain drink system is computerized. Talk about overwhelming, you will be there for a few seconds reading it all the first time. Hit the coke zero button, and another menu came up with all these different subflavors of coke zero. Aye yi yi. Filled my drink, and checked; pretty much every kind of drink has flavoring options. Except for water. What if I wanted vanilla flavored water :) Anyway.. Went back to the table and took a sip. Now.. The concept of customized pop is cool. I'm sure kids love it, and I imagine many adults do too. My gripe however is a nitpicky thing, but it is what it is. When I go to buy a vanilla Coke Zero, I expect a very specific taste, one that was developed by well paid flavor nerds in a lab somewhere. Something that is always consistent and has all the subtle flavors of a real vanilla Coke Zero. Well... this did not taste the same. They forgot our bacon too, but we noticed too late, didn't want to show up at the counter with 1/4 burger complaining :) I really don't know what else to say about it. Food in the mouth and move on I guess. The fries were a bummer for me too. That's awesome they are using fresh potatoes, and the Cajun seasoning is good. Maybe because it was the lunch rush, but the fries were a bit too limp and greasy for my taste. I don't know, the oil was clean, but its like the frier was not hot enough - maybe because it was busy the recovery time of the frier was too slow. I like fresh cut fries to have a little crisp on the outside, and light and fluffy inside. Not heavy and oily. I don't see the value in it and will not return. I just don't understand the hype around this place. My family and I ordered burgers and fries to-go and my expectations for it to be total crap came true. I was skeptical that any place could do a good burger and fries to-go since that type of food just doesn't travel well, but after being assured by family that it would be good, I agreed to Five Guys. The burger was just completely average. Not bad, not good. We make better ones on our grill at home. Boring burger on a boring sesame bun. If it were just for the burger, I would have rated 3-stars, however, the fries were HORRIBLE, thus the 2-stars. The fries were so soggy and mushy, they would have been more better off as mashed potatoes. Again, to be fair, I hate to-go burgers and fries from any place, but these fries were particularly soggy. Once the shut-down ends, I might give them an in-person try, but I definitely do not recommend their food to-go. Unless you love gross soggy fries and boring, average, smooshed burgers. read more

My first visit to a Five Guys. I arrived at the location. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and regular fries. Was told the Coke machines were out of service. I settled for a bottle of water. I noticed that I knew of the grower family in Idaho. This is impressive that they use a russet burbank potato. The order arrives and as expected there were plenty of extra fries. The burger was a delight although a little messy as expexted with the works toppings. The fries were cooked to perfection and hot. Salted perfectly and with condiment were ready to eat. The first bite of the fries were a bitter disappointment as the fry oil was old and bad. I ate my burger tried to choke the fries down, threw most of them in the trash and left. Five Guys has a great program on producing a great french fry. Letting an overused rancid oil ruin the fries is inexcusable. Please do better. read more

Don't believe the hype! An establishment that thinks its acceptable to have a dining area full of peanut shells. Two adults purchasing a burger each with fries and drink totaling almost $30. As we were both new to this Establishment we patiently waited about 15 minutes for the fresh food. This was OK as we were not in a rush and understand that excellence takes time. After excepting the mess in the lobby consisting of peanut shells and scraps we were overwhelmed with how every square foot of the establishment including the men's restroom had articles and paper clippings on how great this place was. I compare my cheeseburger to Wendy's double that cost three times less then the purchase amount. As the meat was seasoned and tasty it still didn't offer much more than your typical fast food burger. I ordered Cajun fries and receive regular fries. They advertised the origin of the fries which was great (a local item). They highlighted that they were fried in peanut oil (how exciting). When receiving the order my bag was completely soaked in oil. My burger was on the bottom comfortably surrounded by my french fries that were unseasoned with Cajun and surrounded my burger as if it was a baby bird waiting for mommy bird feed. In closing if hype and reputation is something that drive you to eat overpriced fast food then this might just be the place for you. Peanut allergies be warned! read more

I love most of the Five Guys restaurants that I have visited. Their menu is simple yet polished, their burgers and fries are some of the best I've had from a burger chain, the service is fast, and most of the employees I've interacted with have been pleasant. However, at this particular establishment, one might have a hard time making it to the cashier, as you must wade through the sea of peanut shells covering the floor to make it to the counter. This place is a pigsty. I have never run into this problem at other Five Guys restaurants. They are typically clean and glistening. When I go to a restaurant, I expect basic hygiene and tidiness and to not eat in squalor. Hopefully, this one bad apple won't ruin people's impression of an otherwise solid chain. read more

HERE IT IS!!! MY 100TH REVIEW!!! Right now I can't think of a better place it could be either. I was searching Yelp looking and liking all the new reviews. I actually love the way it is set up now so that the new reviews are on the front page... but this isn't a review about Yelp. So, let me get right to it. While looking though the new reviews I saw a review for Five Guys. I had to do a double take. I even looked up to make sure I have my Yelp set in the right zip code. I had NO idea we had a Five Guys here in the Tri-Cities. The only time I have ever eaten at a Five Guys was in Dallas while visiting my husbands family. And I remembered it being DELISH. So, I told my husband that Five Guys would make a PERFECT lunch for my birthday. I did read about the long lines and long waits... so I told him that we better get there EARLY. BUT I was a bit lazier than normal (haha) on my birthday so we didn't really get there till about 11:30am. There WAS a line... and it was OUT THE DOOR. I thought... GREAT! I know he doesn't like to wait in long lines so I started thinking of second choices to where I wanted to go for lunch because I was sure he'd say that the line was too long and he didn't want to wait. BUT to my surprise... he was OK with waiting in line... "It was my birthday after all"... He said. =) The line moved rather quickly, or maybe it just seemed like it did because we were able to strike up a nice conversation with the people in line ahead of us. I would say our total wait time was about 15 - 20 minutes. Not bad for as long as the line was. It's our turn to order, and I opted for the small (one beef patty) bacon cheese burger with jalapenos. Hubby opted for the large (two beef patties) bacon cheese burger. We also got an order of Cajun fries, and we each went for a fountain drink. The soda machine was pretty dog gone cool. I had cherry coke... YUM! We quickly found a table and wait for our number to be called. This took a little time, but we totally understood because they were pretty busy. When our number was called, I was pretty hungry by this time. I flung open my burger and took a HUGE bite. Yes SIR! It was GOOD! The bread was fresh... the meat was fresh... the veggies were fresh and the bacon was CRISPY! My favorite! I also noticed that the jalapenos were fresh... not pickled. A very nice touch in my opinion. On to the fries. I would recommend the Cajun fries. They have a nice amount of seasoning on them which makes them slightly spicy, and not your normal run of the meal fries. They also post where they get the potatoes from, so you'll know that they are fresh. And one large order of fries were plenty for two people to share. All and all this was a GREAT burger experience. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. Salads were not the 'ordinary' restaurant salad but rather had an ample amount of cucumbers and grated cheese.
