It's been a while since I've been there, but it was excellent. The variety of burgers was crazy, and the one I had was awesome.

Perfect date night spot, great atmosphere. Hendricks County is limited in "non-chain" restaurants so Bru is a regular date night spot for my husband and I. Rotating beer taps have good selection, and they have the Impossible Burger on the menu (vegan) which is one of two vegan options on the menu- the other being a quinoa salad that looked tasty, too! I asked the waitress twice to verify the burger was not actual beef, which she happily assured me it was. Vegan burger, vegan cheese, vegan mayo... tastes exactly like a steak and shake burger which even the healthiest person gets a craving for every once in a while. Only "issue" was that the fries were a bit soggy, but had good flavor. The house-made ketchup is a bit strange for my tasting as well. Thank you Bru for carrying the Impossible Burger! read more

Loved the whole and all the parts. We arrived about 5:45 for dinner, were seated immediately, and we're greeted by our waiter, ordered drinks and took our time with the menu. Great variety of choices. Burgers, of course, but other tasty sounding sandwiches, and salads. We have one in our party who eats his burger with lettuce and pickles. He rated the burger 'best in town'. I had pork BBQ, and we shared a side of onion rings. Lots of onion and crispy, tasty batter. By the time we left, there was a wait. Really a great venue that wife and I use regularly.... Every dish we have ordered has been awesome ... appetizers like pretzel bites and chicken tenders are great while entrees are being prepared.... Bourbon burgers and bison burgers are just a couple of the great choices of entrees and if you enjoy a salad for your entree then I would recommend the Gorgonberry pecan salad.... Fantastic!!! My first time here, and I was not disappointed! Split the chicken nachos with the table as the appetizer and they were hot, fresh, and loaded with with all the toppings. No bare chips to be found here. For the main dinner I got a burger, obviously, it's a burger joint, and chose the Bleu Cheese one. It was delicious! The meat was cooked right at medium like I asked, and the bleu cheese was melted just enough to complement the onion strings on the burger. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely go back. read more

Was excited to try Bru after reading the rave reviews. Atmosphere was great, overall service was good and you can tell the staff as a whole wanted diners have a good experience. Unfortunately the food overall just didn't live up to the menu descriptions. The Stilton Burger was the only item ordered that met expectations. The Mexicali had Guacamole on it, but it didn't actually add any flavor. I could only taste the jalapeño on one bite. The Bourbon Burger was ordered by one of our party and was described as "ok, but not what I would call gourmet". The onion rings were good, but the house made ketchup was thin and was not detectable when eaten with the rings. Did enjoy the local craft beer selection, but overall there are too many other great places to eat in this price range to make it worth any special trip. read more

I'm so glad that they opened a BRU on the west side! We've always loved going to the one on Mass Ave, so having one this close is definitely nice. It's located on the south side of the Shops at Perry Crossing (formerly Metropolis). There's a parking lot just south of that, so don't worry about hunting for parking right off the main mall loop. The restaurant is quite large with a lot of tables and a good sized bar area. It's decorated nicely and is laid out so that it doesn't feel too crowded, even if it's packed like it was when we visited. They have the same delicious menu and full bar, which is always a plus. The wife and I came on Wednesday night around 6pm and the place was hopping. We waited 15 minutes or so for a table, which is to be expected. There was a slight mix up where they didn't text when our table was ready (chalk it up to newly-opened kinks), but that wasn't a big deal. We ordered shortly after being seated, since we were already familiar with the menu, and our food came out surprisingly fast given how busy they were. I know it was just two orders of burgers and fries, but still very impressive. Past that, the service was only ok - had to ask for drink refills, no check-in after we got our food, that kind of thing. None of that's a big deal and I'm going to guess it has more to do with them being busy and freshly opened than a real problem. But no matter, it was still a great dinner. Everything tasted amazing, as usual, and we left with full stomachs. So, in the end, it's the same BRU that I love, just a lot closer and with a nearby parking lot. What's not to love?! Well tried this location and was a little disappointed. Floor was excessively dirty with mashed food. Had to ask the service specialist to have it cleaned up since it was appetite spoiling. Ordered my favorite burger, a patty melt with Turkey and it was not seasoned and the onions were not caramelized as much as expected. The drinks were delicious and the bartender was moving quickly. Our service was excellent and the location is nice. Will try this location again to see if it's clean next time and if the cook finds the seasoning. read more

We were so happy to hear Bru Burger was opening in Plainfield. We are fans of the Mass Ave location since I work downtown. It was opening weekend and the service was great. It seemed a lot of managers were around to check on things and our server was very nice. The food was great (as we expected) and can't wait to go back. The wait is never bad. The servers are always swamped and not as attentive. The burgers are good and made to order. Mac and cheese is a favorite of my kids. The fries are not very crisp which makes them not very appealing. It got really good burgers but service could be a lot better. read more

We love to go to Bru Burger on weekends. Our favorite sandwich is the Patty Melt and the fries are great! Our only issue is the drinks. If it is a drink from their coctail menu it is usually pretty good but if you try to order a cosmo or appletini etc it doesn't even taste like a martini. Last week my Cosmo tasted like sour Kool-Aid. The bartender was very nice and fixed a different drink that was on the regular menu. They used to have really good bartenders there that could make any martini you asked for. Since it is one of our favorite restaurants I hope they get a good bartender soon. read more

I ordered a Provençal Burger with fries. I told my server my fries were warm and I'd like some hot fresh fries. His response was the fries were just made but if I wanted new ones I'd have to wait. I waited for hot fresh fries from manager. No apologies by either. I mentioned to server that ladies restroom needed toilet paper. 45 minutes later I used restroom and there was then no toilet paper in either stall. I waited by kitchen for an employee to tell there wasn't toilet paper. The food was mediocre at best, service was Sub par, and the cost was Outlandish. I will Not be back! I love Bru Burger but I was a little disappointed in the Plainfield location. My burger was great as always but service was a little slow. My moms burger was undercooked for her liking, she did send it back and still was less cooked than she prefers but it was fine. I opted for the snack size this time which was a perfect size. It's nice that they have a small outdoor area as well. By the end of our mea ALL four of our waters were empty or close to. We didn't receive any refills. Overall good experience but I'll stick to the one on Mass Ave for convenience and atmosphere. read more

First time here and the food and service was excellent. We had a party of +10 with kids. We were able to be immediately seated and the noise level was just right so that the kids didn't disturb others. Our waitress was wonderful for recommendations on what we should try for is first timers. We had the nachos for an appetizer that we all shared and she was right about them. The queso was so good! I ended up ordering the Mexicali burger with fries and was not disappointed. The house made ketchup was amazing! Highly recommend for a nice atmosphere to eat with friends and tasty food.
