I will eat in one day but this cold day I wanted to take advantage of Devour Indy and I ordered to go. I ordered the Bowl of Chili and the Provençal burger. When I parked, I just called the number on the sign and they come out with your order that you can pay there or ahead of time. Once home, I could see how well they packed all my food. All the condiments (sour cream, shredded cheese, and chopped onions) were packed nicely for the chili. Ordered food for Mother's day lunch. I had a set time to pick up my food whoch goy pushed back. When I arrived, I called the restaurant from the pick up parking spot and they said it would be a 10 minute wait. The lady who answered the phone said she would bring our food out. After waiting another 15 minutes, I went inside and found my food waiting at the pick up desk but Noone was there. The food itself was just ok. Two of my kids have eaten here before and had high expectations but both agreed it wasn't as good. I got the garlic burger with onion rings. I removed the cheddar on the burger and it seems they added more Swiss cheese instead so the whole top burger patty was overwhelmed with cheese. After traveling we checked into our hotel and asked the clerk about a good place to eat at 8:00 pm. She recommended Bru Burger Bar and she was spot on! It has a classy sports bar vibe, with enough TVs to entertain the sports lover, but classy enough to relax in style. My beer choice was a local one from Daredevil Brewing Co., in Speedway In. called Lift Off. It is a 7.2% IPA and since we are heading to Wis. the spouses choice was Miller Lite. Especially fitting since the Milwaukee Brewers were playing on the tv. Our server was great! Thank you Daesha, for being exceptionally nice to weary travelers. Kelly delivered our meals with the upmost advice and help. I added the House sauce to my burger per her advice. A must stop on our return trip. My wife and I visited recently and just wanted to note what had been our usually fantastic Cobb Salad was a bit smaller with reduced ingredients. What use to be chicken presented across the top of the salad is now a few chopped chunks scattered within a chopped salad mix. Lacking in guacamole, cucumber, egg and cheese as well. Hope this isn't a trend and we just caught an off evening. I was a bit cavalier in not checking or keeping a copy of the receipt. 2 x $14 salads and a coke plus tax and 20% tip should not be $59. She not only interacts with customers and her fellow staff members extremely well. **RATING BASED SOLELY ON SERVICE** As a big Bru fan i was very disappointed with service received on 8/9/25. It was such a nice day, so we opted to sit out on the(shaded) patio. There was one other small party of 3 outside and inside was pretty empty also, so no obvious need to expect delays. After about 10-15 minutes of no one coming by, I stepped inside to make sure a server was assigned. The hostess said she would inform the server. More time passes before a server comes out and apologies for the wait to the OTHER table, takes their order, and returns inside. Again no acknowledgement of our presence at all. I was able to catch up to him at the door to question if he could find our server and he appeared confused but stated he would look into it. More time passes before he eventually returns, apologizes and offers a complimentary appetizer for the wait and bringing water. A different person brought out the appetizers, and based on his attire we had to assume he was a manager. He never disclosed who he was but placed our appetizer down and turned to walk away without saying ANYTHING at all. We did ask if he was the manager and proceeded to enlighten him on our experience. Based on his own behaviors as the manager i don't have a lot of faith in it being handled appropriately. Hopefully the individual(s) responsible for training the servers AND managers have a better handle on providing good customer service...in a service industry. read more

It is suppose to be two smash burgers. I am a pseudo carnivore. I like my burger very moist and order them raw know most times they come "pink and medium rare." My waitress told me they couldn't do that with "smash burgers" cause they are too thin. She said it would be best to order "regular" burgers. They could be done medium then. I said ok. There were six of us and it took a little while. We got sat outside because our reservations got messed up. The flys were another thing I didn't like. There were enough to be a bother and destroy any ambiance created. Back to my burgers. I got smash burgers delivered anyway. I guess the cooks were not informed or they couldn't read? I don't know. I was hungry. I asked for mustard and had to wait extra on that. (No biggie just recording down my experience.) I ordered no bun and that was done but I think it was an after thought correction. When you look at the picture on the menu, mine came completely upside down. As if they had a bun there and just flipped everything over to remove it. I asked for the "garden" to be off on the side, burgers come on top of it all. I wasn't sure who was responsible for setting up the plate as I requested but it was a failure, minor as it was. The sad part is the burgers were dry, so I was unimpressed. (Most of the juiciness came from the bacon) Did I complain...no. I was someone's guest that night. Was recommended this burger joint by a friend, so we stopped by to give it a try. The specialized burgers on the menu were interesting, but both my husband and I decided to get their classic bru burger to have a medium to judge off. Sadly, we weren't extremely impressed. The burgers themselves were just so incredibly greasy, all I could taste was the grease. The unique cheese and special sauce couldn't even be tasted, just grease. Absolutely ridiculous they are requiring all restaurant workers to come in at normal business hours today. I do not agree these are essential workers, so many credible businesses are closed today because they care for their employee's safety!! Came here with a friend after not knowing what we wanted to eat for dinner. The minute we walked in we were greeted so much warmly by the staff and quickly seated at a booth. Our waitress was super sweet and came over often to make sure we were well taken care of as well. Now let's get to the food. The pretzel bites were warm and so good with the beer cheese. I ordered a veggie black bean burger and it was delicious. The only thing I wish was that their black bean patty wasn't so mushy. However, everything else on the burger was delicious and the habanero hot sauce added the perfect kick. One additional thing I always appreciate about Bru Burger is the fact that they are open to customizing any burger on the menu and always provide any additional sauces on the side that you request without the additional cost. Deborah and I visited Bru Burger tonight and had a fabulous meal! Bru Burger is one of the Cunningham Group restaurants, and we LOVE all of their restaurants. We were lucky enough to be served by Macinzy, who is just delightful! Deborah had a delicious Cod Sandwich with a side of onion rings, and I had a Siracha Caeser Salad with shrimp. Oh my goodness, the salad was a "10"!!! Beautifully served and scrumptious. I tried a bit of Deb's sandwich and an onion ring, and they were equally awesome. Macinzy got our food out to us fast and took good care of us tonight. For us, it's really important that our hot food is HOT, and our cold food is COLD, and that's exactly how we got it tonight.
