You can be in and out in under ten minutes, and the result is less irritating than waxing (at least on my VERY sensitive white skin). Don't get me wrong - I'm still a little red around the brows for half an hour or so afterward - but the aesthetician did an amazing shaping job, and made some good suggestions for things I might consider doing in the future (without it feeling like an upsell). I don't know how I never discovered this place on Yelp before! I only found out about Brow Zone when I walked past it one day. I decided to check it out because it's super close to work and the prices are good. Overall it's a good place, but is definitely a hole in the wall kind of joint. I've only done threading here so I can't speak to the other services they offer, but for threading they are quick and cheap. Not so sure about the hygiene thing one of the other reviewers noted, it's not exactly the most immaculate place, but I can't really think of many eyebrow salons I've been to that are. Seriously... what was I doing still getting waxed. That is SOO 90s :-) I can't believe it took me this long to get my brows threaded. I finally decided that I needed to take the plunge and made my way to Brow Zone on the way to SoHo today. There was one person getting threaded when I walked in so I had to wait maybe 4 minutes. The threading was so fast and looks great. I honestly didn't feel a thing and wasn't red at all afterwards. All for just $8. Pretty damn good! Don't let the lack of decor or space fool you, you're getting more than what you paid for, and $7 for an eyebrow thread is relatively cheap for the value you're getting. For some reason this has been one of the few threading places I've been to where my eyebrow hair doesn't start growing back as quickly. They must have some magic threading skills there. Sometimes the threading can be a bit painful, so I recommend also trying Thread Salon if you're looking for the least painful experience. But if you're closer to this area, go to Brow Zone. They also have a loyalty card (although it's definitely harder to complete) and good service. read more

They do an AMAZING eyebrow threading and lip waxing - almost completely painless (considering). The prices are amazingly reasonable - very cheap for good service. My only complaint is, depending on who you get, they're either VERY friendly or VERY cold....wish the service was more consistent in that respect but otherwise wouldn't go anywhere else. Have to say, I am a bit surprised by the negative reviews. I have been getting my eyebrows done here for the past 1.5 years and never had a single issue. Milli does a fantastic job. She has a very good technique and is able to create the perfect shape for my eye. My roommate and friend also go to her, and she does a wonderful job on their brows too. The place really inexpensive. I really love this place because they are quick and all artists. They have never messed up my brows and they get the job done fast. The only problem is that, sometimes it's too fast - so fast that it hurts! Although threading is never not painful, sometimes they are like machines, and don't put much emphasis on the before and after comforting treatments that make most salons stand out. After getting my eyebrows threaded here during lunch, the lady at this store took my credit card and asked if I wanted to add any tip. I always base my tips on how great the service was, and at restaurants I tip up to 25%-30%. The service here was very poor - the lady was rushing, as if she wanted to move on to the next customer as fast as she could. There was only one other customer in the store. I told the lady the amount of the tip I wanted to add and she said: "Are you really only tipping me this amount?" I told her that it was bad for her business to be asking customers about how much they tip, and she said that losing me as a customer will not affect her business because she has "lots of customers". She proceeded to tip herself on my credit card. While I spoke calmly in a low voice, she spoke very aggressively. Terrible business practices, do not come here! read more

I have been coming here for three years. Always quick and my brows always look fab when I leave! It still hurts and my eyes still water but the results are always worth it. The last time I came in the girl messed up my brows :( they are super uneven now. I had never seen her there before so I assumed she's new and still learning. The experience: I walked in to Brow Zone in the early afternoon on a weekday, and was served immediately. There were two women working there, and one customer already being served. I had my eyebrows and upper lip waxed for $12 total. The woman who did my brows also threaded them afterwards, free of charge, to clear up the little hairs. She worked efficiently, if a little brusquely, and within ten minutes of arriving I was done. It's one of my pet peeves when a person working with hot wax near my face is having a conversation or laughing with other people working at the salon while doing my face, because I worry that her attention might not be fully on what she's doing. I've read enough one-star reviews to be nervous about that. I tend to signal to people that I'd like them to pay full attention to me as a customer to make sure they realize that I'm not just going to sit there passively while amazing or awful things are being done to my face. It's for the customer service, rather than for the work, which was fine, that I'm giving a three-star rather than four- or five-star review. read more

I've come here at least 15 times, but I've decided I'm finished. I just walked in during a self-imposed break on a very stressful workday, thinking I would do some self-care and take a 10 minute breather to have my eyebrows done. There was no music playing, and one employee was bitching about a previous customer - something about a tip, I was guessing she wasn't left a tip - while doing someone else's eyebrows!! That is NOT what I call good customer service. Totally okay to vent about your job, but not while on the job. The energy in there was so negative, I left and will never be back. I've had similar experiences in the past, some of the employees are super bitchy and definitely rush the job, and this was the last straw. They've always done a decent job on my brows, and a couple of the women are very nice, but I honestly just can't continue to support an establishment where I feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I. Argument Do not visit this eyebrow place because they treat their customers in an unacceptable manner and they do sloppy work. II. Context/Before I wish I could give a 0. I don't normally do yelp reviews but felt so traumatized by my experience here just 10 minutes ago that I feel like I need to warn others. I came in here on a Friday morning around 11:35am. I was the only customer in here. Normally I go to other eyebrow places, but this is near my work so I decided to check it out and give it a chance although some of the most recent yelp reviews haven't said the best things about this place. An older asian woman helped me. I'm only trying to identify who did my eyebrows because I want to be fair and not smear the business as a whole when my experience was just with this one person. Before she did my brows I explained that I didn't want her to go too thin because I don't have thick eyebrows to begin with. I've been getting my brows done for the last several years so I know what to expect. I was really polite and clear in my communication to her about what I wanted. She said she understood and I was nervous but I let her continue. III. During She completely rushed my brows and screwed them up. I was the only customer in there so I am not sure why she was rushing. In all the years I've been getting my brows done never have I had someone finish so quickly. My brows were too thin and she messed up the shape on one of them. Now they're too thin, mismatched, and the shape has been changed from its natural shape. She asked me what I thought and I very politely told her that I was unsatisfied. She then began SCREAMING at me. Throughout our exchange my voice never left a normal speaking level. I apologized and told her I wasn't trying to insult her as a professional, but that she asked what I thought and I told her honestly and politely that it was exactly what I asked her not to do. She then claimed that I was being rude by *expressing my opinion*. I told her to please stop screaming at me and that it's absurd that she's screaming at me and that if anyone should be screaming it should be the unsatisfied customer whose brows you completely fucked up. She continued to scream at me and then started cussing me in another language. The other women that worked there just sat there staring at their phones looking completely unfazed, which made me wonder if this has happened to other customers before. IV. The Aftermath Anyways, I told her I was still going to pay and I even tried to tip her to which she said that they couldn't process tips. I told her that I think she still deserves a tip as a working woman and that workers always deserve to be tipped. I told her very politely though that even though I was still trying to tip her that I was deeply unhappy with my eyebrows and the way she continued to scream at me after I told her to please not scream at me. She seemed to soften up once she saw that I was not only paying her but also attempting to tip even though she was completely irrational and screamed at me. As I was leaving, I apologized again and told her that I didn't mean to disrespect her as a professional but that I was unhappy and as a customer if you ask what I think I have a right to give you an honest opinion. Anyways, I left after that and I will never go back. I don't think this is a "well it's only $7 so you get what you pay for" kind of situation because I've been to other places that have been $5-$7 and I have received excellent service. In fact my regular place is $7 and they do a wonderful job. I think it is wrong to scream at a customer who answered politely after you asked their opinion on your work. V. Conclusion In summation, my experience was horrible. As a customer and also as a human being I deserve to not be screamed at. I believe we could've had a rational discussion about why I was unsatisfied with my eyebrows and what could have been done to fix them. But that did not happen. I don't want to smear this entire eyebrow place, but I will say that if one of your brow ladies is screaming at a customer and none of you step in to help, it is not a good look. read more

My eyebrows have never grown symmetrically and no one seemed to be able to do my eyebrows and make them look symmetrical. Milli is amazing and threads them almost identical! I always come and ask for her. However, I do not recommend the other technicians here. I've tried a couple of different technicians and every time come out with mismatched eyebrows. I've gotten much worse from other places tho so I've learned to just wait until Milli is in. Definitely ask for her if you come here! read more

Brow Zone is my go to for brow threading but I saw the deal for a facial and thought I'd give it a go. Granted I was a little hesitant, but the NOHO location already has a medspa vibe to it, so I thought what the hell? The facial was great! She massaged my shoulders and then went straight into the face business-- including extractions and a bunch of yummy smelling creams. I went to Brow Zone or something that looked an awful lot like Brow Zone in Queens where I use to get my eyebrows shaped nicely most of the time. I do miss my eyebrow lady there. She always took her time and did a great job. I think they used to call it Beauty Zone. Last year I tried them in Noho and the result was okay. Hopefully one day she might be there. I have had gotten really good work from Unique and Looks. But I think you just have to find the best person for the job. read more

Although it was my first time getting my eyebrows done, I've heard some horror stories from my friends so I was extremely scared. I nervous because I was being judgemental when I saw the lady who was going to do my eyebrows has thin eyebrows and I heard so many over thinning stories. But she asked me how I would like mine done, I told her with a strong arch, but kept as thick as possible. The process took less than 10 minutes. It hurted a touch but it felt almost like a massage; it was nice. After she was done, she asked me to take a look. I was so happy to see it wasn't thin at all! Thick and defined, just how I wanted it. I asked her if it was possible to arch it even more without thinning it, and she took another minute to do just that. It was amazing I feel so much better with my new perfect brows now. Definitely will come again and recommend this place to everyone. I'm so happy my first eyebrow threading experience went perfectly. I've come here a couple of times to get my brows done and it used to be good. But the two people I used to go to left. I've had it done two other times after they left and it was okay. Nothing spectacular. But when I went today for a regular cleanup, the person who did it completely thinned out my brows without asking. Seriously, I came in with regular brows in need of a cleanup and she took half the width out. I barely have any brows left at the edge. I basically look surprised, and it will take months to grow them back out. Even the other ladies who work there acknowledged that it was poorly done. They told me I didn't have to pay. But seriously, it's not the $7. I have to wear these brows for the rest of the summer! Very inexperienced. Now I have to find a new place. read more

I would NOT recommend this place. The first time I went there, the lady made my eyebrows much too thin for my liking. I decided to give the place a second chance, but I shouldn't have. The second time I went, not only did I shed a bunch of tears, but the lady made one eyebrow significantly shorter than my other eyebrow on the inside. I am extremely angry that my eyebrows are uneven in size. Now I have to fill in my eyebrows for the next month while they grow back out. I will never ever go back to this place. read more
