Been here for a few different services, I get my eyebrows threaded the most and they always do a good job. However they NEVER clean up the hair off my face! I'm they rub aloe on my eyebrows while the hairs are still in my face, I don't understand. Each time I have to grab myself a tissue and spend a minute or so wiping the eyebrow hairs off, VERY ANNOYING! I also have gotten done eyebrow and eyelash tinting. The eyebrow tinting came out well, lasted about a week and a half. The eyelash tinting is a waste of money, I had them dye my lashes a second time and could barely see a difference, you are much better off getting eyelash extensions read more

I've gotten my brows threaded here many times, and they have never let me down! The workers always make my brows look GREAT, and they get my brows done QUICKLY. Even though threading is painful, the efficient and practiced hands of the workers have made my threadings here the most painless I've ever had. I came here on recommendations from two friends. The place is quick as heck--I came in on a Thursday afternoon, and was done in less than 5 minutes. The woman was quick, and she was not in the mood for small talk. I had an eyebrow threading, and she came back in to tweeze some of the little hairs. She was quick, efficient and good! She did not thin my brows too much, and I got an arch. It only cost $7; it accepts card with no minimum. I gave a $2 tip, and she was like bai! I have been coming here to get my brows/lips threaded for over six years now - they are fast, do a great job, and it is super affordable. I don't really know what the comments here about them not listening or being rough are talking about... because (1) your hair is getting ripped out of your face and of course it's going to hurt and (2) they always check with me after to see if I'm okay with their work! Stay away from this place! I just walked in to get my eyebrows threaded and made the biggest mistake by judging it by it's high Yelp reviews. I now have two bald patches on both eyebrows. First, the woman was rough and had no manners. Second, she totally f$&ed my eyebrows. When I complained that she had created two bald spots on both eyebrows she became defensive and denied it. Up until today I would have given Brows Zone a top notch review because the services is good. The reason for my 1 star review is because I had been going here every 2 weeks for the past 5 years and due to the Pandemic I had been out of my office. I bought a Groupon for 3 Brazilian Waxes in Dec of 2019 and by March 2020 everything was shut down so I was unable to go in and get my 2nd appt done. I am finally back in the office and they will not honor my already paid Groupon. I actually renewed this Groupon with them at the time of my first visit with them in December. So now I'm out 70 something dollars and will need to find a new place to do all my grooming needs. What makes this worse is that when the lady called me back she was less than apologetic and was very abrupt she just said the manager said no we can't honor since it's been too long, I explained that it was due to the fact that we we were in a Global Pandemic but she just hung up on me. read more

By far the worst waxing experience of my life. I have received a lot of bikini waxes at a lot of places from a lot of people. I often leave with slightly irritation - I have pretty sensitive skin, so I consider this completely understandable. Luckily, despite the higher than usual levels of irritation, I also generally feel limited pain when getting a wax. Then I went to Brow Zone. I will give them this. My first wax wasn't the best that I have ever had, but it was good enough that I went back. And, more importantly, I never saw my waxer double dip. But my second wax. Oh, my second wax. For the first time ever (at least ever while being waxed) I almost fainted from pain. This lady just tore at my skin. Yes, I should have said something, but I am more of a grin and bear it type, and I figured that I must have been having an overly sensitive day. How naive of me. When I looked down at my lady parts, I was horrified. There was clear bruising on large portions of my skin. There is no way that the waxer couldn't see what she was doing to my skin. My skin was irritated for multiple weeks after I went to this place. I am talking ugly red patches. For weeks. Just don't do it. If you really want to save some money and don't have the heart to do it yourself, you are better off paying a friend to wax you than going to Brow Zone. read more

Good job! I'm generally more cautious but while looking for another store, I saw their sign and I strolled right in. I was pleasantly surprised. They did the best threading job on my brows that I've ever had. It hurts a bit but not as bad as waxing. It hurt as much as any other threading job I've had. It's so neat that I can't stop looking at it. One brow is naturally not as full as the other so while it's not perfect, it's certainly a dramatic improvement and it's not their fault that I have f-ed up brows. Im not sure why the technician was in such a hurry considering there were no other customers waiting. But you get what you pay for. They're comparably cheaper then other salons closer to Soho, $7 plus tax. It wasn't catastrophic by any means. I moved to the neighborhood and really needed a new brow place. I was so loyal to Meena's. I only do threading because waxing is too harsh for my sensitive skin. I have a hard time with change, but I've confirmed the people are good here! I had a lot of concerns- went the website and emailed them for an appointment, mentioning I sought them out on Yelp. I got a very nice same day response, (albeit in broken English) that this was a good place, and a threading appt wasn't needed - just walk in. I came in walk-in on a Thurs afternoon- around 5:30. The place was empty. I asked for Milli- the lady that everyone likes. She was good. She adhered to all my requests and asked me at every step-- like do I need lotion, do I want an arch, do I just want it cleaned up (to which I said yes, just clean it up, leaving lots of it natural). She was fast and didn't hurt me. I almost felt like the girls at Meena's were a bit more harsh; but all in all it was comparable. Both good neighborhood places, with the same price. $8 for brows here, and $5 for tip. pre tip. I'd say the facilities are a little bit better than your usual joint... but the prices aren't, which is nice. Two thumbs up. read more

They did a great job on my eyebrows, however I found the same issue several other yelpers commented on: cleanliness... the woman went right from doing a girls eyebrows, to handling money, to my eyebrows. I've been going to Brow Zone for over a year now and I've had a pretty great experience every time except for maybe once or twice when I got this new chick who managed to pull skin off my eyebrow area with thread! Other than that time, I love getting my brows done by Milli or Saji or one of the other ladies who've been there a while. I don't really trust the new ones as much after the skin-cutting experience. I went there for waxing once but it was kinda gross. The eyebrow, upper lip services are great but there's definitely plenty of double dipping that goes on for waxing. Mediocre threading, bad service, UNSANITARY. First of all, after my eyebrows were done, I looked in the mirror and thought, "That's it?" I could hardly tell a difference at all, and I had been growing out my eyebrows especially to get them threaded. I'm a big fan of threading (as opposed to waxing and tweezing) and this place does NOT wow. Next, the lady was cheerful and sweet to me, until she asked me how much I wanted to tip. Doesn't that violate some kind of aesthetician's honor code? After I told her the amount, she immediately soured and did not smile or respond to me. I'm sorry, you made $12 in under 5 min of work...and it wasn't even a good job. Be thankful that I tipped at all. Oh, and my sister tells me that the aesthetician who threaded her eyebrows told her that she shouldn't wear that much make-up. My sister only wears a line of winged eyeliner, so I'm not sure where that comment came from. But the main reason why I am never coming back to this place is because my sister and I went together, and about ten minutes after we left the place, her face broke out in hives in the locations she got threaded (eyebrows and upper lip). I get my eyebrows threaded here every 2-3 weeks and am always happy with the results. They're quick but the threading is done carefully/not rushed. I've only been to one other eyebrow place so I can't really compare to others but I still recommend this place. I also got my first bikini/brazilian wax ever done here. It was the day before my vacation so I was worried about redness but it ended up being ok. Honestly, yes, it is pretty painful but they do it as quickly as possible. I really enjoyed my visit to this waxing studio. The place is very clean. I received a Brazilian wax and etiquette was indeed followed. No sticks were double dipped and a new sheet of waxing paper was used each time. The lady doing my wax was very friendly, sweet, and attentive to me.
