This is particularly true at the back desk, where the two women I have encountered there seemed like I was asking them a huge favor to leave their chair and help me locate something. They are surprisingly unfriendly for a local business in a small town. The cashiers are also unfriendly. They are all milling around the desk, but no one chats with you or shows any interest. I can't tell what the problem is, as it seems like a perfectly nice place to work, but everyone acts like they hate their job.

I saw online that they had something called Quick Dam and went there to pick it up. As soon as I walked in, the staff helped me right away! They knew exactly what I was looking for and helped me pick out the right size flood barrier for my porch. They were a little pricey, but the price was a little less than what I saw on Amazon. I had a return and quickly found customer service because of its proximity to the entrance. The return process was swift and seamless thanks to Jaylen. After my return, I asked if I would be allowed to make an online purchase at the customer service desk, to which the response was an immediate yes. I was elated to have this process done with an excellent associate! Knowing I was making a purchase in-store, I was initially worried that the price would be different from the one online; however, their online sale was matched, and I was granted the discounts I had saved for this purchase! Associate Jaylen also noted that I could have my items delivered to the store I was visiting. This will further ensure proper delivery and personally alleviate my worries with shipping large furniture to my home. I was treated very kindly, and the customer service clerk had the patience of a saint during the entire interaction. I will always choose Home Depot over any competitors. Two months ago, I purchased a refrigerator in Durham, North Carolina. They told us there was a "blockage" in the and it was their hands. They offered no help in obtaining refund and were unwilling to help me deal with a corporate function of Home Depot depot. I explained to them that in my mind, they should be an ombudsman for the customer and solving problems like this. The response was only "this is out of our hands" this is not a good organization. This is not a good store and these may be good people, but they need to know they're working for a organization and they do not seem to have shame because of this.

I felt like I had taken a time machine instead of my car. There were 4-5 old timers in there shooting the breeze and the guy working there got me exactly what I needed. I'll definitely be going back, and may hang out with the gentlemen passing the time. My grandparents are long gone and I think that generation has lots of knowledge we are on the verge of losing.
