    Bangkok noodles
    Ashley G.

Slow service considering that it wasn't all that busy. Food is good and the price point is surprisingly reasonable.

$7.65 for a box of "Thai" noodles that didn't even include a meat choice or tofu? Oh, because that's between $2 to $3.50 EXTRA pre-tax. And that excuse for a "sauce" that seems like it came out of a limited-edition Kraft Macaroni box?! What?! I ordered the Bangkok rice noodles - no drink, no side, no meat. Just peppers, tiny carrot slices, and the most watered-down "curry sauce" I've ever had in my life. Gave two stars just because the noodles were at least cooked right; service was quick and courteous; and they also offer a variety of salads, sandwiches, and soups I unfortunately don't think I'm interested in ever trying after this lackluster experience. With so many good food truck choices and much better chains in the vicinity (by 500 12th St. and the food truck lineup in front of one of the exits of LEnfant metro stop, by the Wells Fargo), I would *never* come back here. I legit felt robbed - my mediocre 'meal' couldn't have costed more than a dollar to make. I can't help but wonder... HOW do they make this terrible, barely-spiced *water* concoction they dare call red Thai curry sauce?! Out of powder? I think I actually insulted instant boxed Kraft Macaroni, as even that has more of a consistency/flavor (except for the minor "kick" of Brown Bag's which was probably due to red pepper flakes only). Eek.

    Fall Harvest Salad

Located in the L'Enfant Metro food court, this counter service place doesn't have a giant line all the time so I would recommend it if you want a salad, sandwich, soup, or pasta but don't want to wait elsewhere. I had the Fall Harvest Chicken Salad, which ended up being $12 after tax. I paid for extra blue cheese, but I definitely didn't get it. I really like the flavor and dressing (warning they use a lot of dressing) Salads are a big portion, so it makes for a filling lunch & I really liked my salad. Takes a couple minutes to wait for you food to be made though. It's a-ok!

I LOVE the Brown Bag! The establishment is clean and the service is usually fast. Initially I had trouble figuring out the computer ordering system but the cashier was more than helpful. Today I built my own salad with romaine lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, grapes, shrimp and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Usually I order the Harvest salad. The chocolate chip cookies are soft and fresh too! The best thing for me is how clean the serving area is kept and seeing the workers practice proper hygiene. Clean gloves and a neat work area. This is my new go to spot for lunch.

I don't normally buy lunch. Today I wanted something different and opted for Brown Bag. First time eating from here and was I pleasantly surprised how tasty their version of Pad Thai with rice noodles and I added chicken and shrimp as my protein. I also picked up their freshly made strawberry lemonade. If I decide to buy lunch again this will be my "go to" for fresh food.

Meh. I built my own salad. It was okay but not even $10.5 okay. I prefer Chop't, I wish they'd build one around L'Enfant!! !

Really enjoyed the local bass which had a crispy skin and was cooked at the perfect amount of tender. The cocktails were good and our server was friendly. The black squid ink pasta was good. I had never been before, and he was seemed curious to try, so we stopped by. They have outdoor seating, but there was no service at the time, which was too bad because the weather was outstanding. The host is said we could take drinks out there, but not food. So we just opted for the bar. Thankfully, they eventually opened one of the doors real wide so the outdoor air was coming in and that was nice. Happy hour was going until 6:30, and I have to admit that some of these happy hour prices are regular prices at other places XD, but remember it's the wharf. And there was a time when happy hour there wasn't even a thing. So I got a glass of wine and yellowtail tacos with salad. I wasn't expecting the yellowtail to be fried, but it was fine. The salad was way bigger than I thought it would be. It was good. My cousin got the burger and fries... I tasted it and I think I enjoyed the burger more, haha. That smoked cheddar, whew! I found the fries to be pretty average. The ambiance of the place is very nice and I could see myself returning. Some other people at the bar got some amazing looking dishes too, but I know they were expensive XD.

As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.

I tried the lobster roll ($39) and Cajun Branzino ($49) and both were good. The lobster roll was Maine-style -- cold with mayo -- which is not my preferred style, but it was still pretty good. The side of fries were great -- crispy and well-seasoned. I liked that the lobster roll had a specific price on the menu and not just "MP." The branzino was also very good. Everyone else had good things to say about their dishes, which included the clam chowder, seafood linguini, and caesar salads. Service was good but uneven in spots; there were some nice touches, but also a few misses. For example, they poured the canned beer for us tableside and remembered a guest's birthday with a small slice of cheesecake (free). But, they forgot crackers to go with the clam chowder, didn't deliver dishes to the correct people, and were a few minutes late bringing the last entree after all the others had arrived. It was a busy night, but also they should be used to that. We sat in the back dining area and the ambiance was fine.

Not worth it on multiple levels. Tea snack options were…read morescarce and mediocre. For ~$150 PP, you don't get very much. I've done high tea at other locations for a cheaper price AND more/ better quality food. I also found a short light brown hair (I have long black hair) that was baked into one of my scones. At the moment I alerted the say, I could tell they were surprised so they didn't know how to react so they said a quick sorry and just brushed it off. Later someone came out while I was in the restroom and gave my friend a very half hearted apology - I personally did not get one. They didn't really do anything for us to show they were taking the situation that seriously... hopefully this isn't something that happens but I can't be sure... The service overall was disappointing for such a well known hotel. Starting with the hostesses, they didn't seem very welcoming or helpful. We came early and let them know, they just stood there and acknowledged that we were early, they didn't suggest if we could wait at the bar - I had to ask. I don't normally expect that sort of thing but at a place like this, I did expect the staff to be a little more helpful than they were. At the end we went to the restroom and it was a bit busy so we were in there for a little while. We came back and a waiter ran out to us and gave us the bill while we were standing. It was my mistake for not asking about the bill earlier because I thought I paid for the high tea experience online. We planned on going back to our seats but they took everything away already.... We also had a long period of time where no one came out to give us a bill or ask how we were so we were left on our own to figure out what to do. Overall even though the location was beautiful, I think the experience was a very poor representation of the hotel. I would not recommend anyone doing high tea here, there are far better options elsewhere. One thing I do want to point out is that the car attendants were very kind.
