Conversation was zero. I got ready for the sugaring, she got started, and about halfway through I mentioned how this was the most painful sugaring experience I've ever had. It was painful because Jenn was using wax. She didn't bother to check on her appointments or confirm with me what I wanted. Maybe if she had put her phone down before we got started, I wouldn't have had such a horrendous experience. We finished out the waxing and just a few days later, I had hair because it all was broken off. I've never had my lashes tinted or lifted before this, but they are basically crimped upward, not curled. I have nothing to compare to, but I'm guessing she just did a poor job. She also remarked how "coarse" my lashes were, which was insulting. All around bad experience. I would not recommend her nor will I ever go back.

She talked me through the process and regularly checked on me to make sure I was good. It was very relaxing! The end results was great as well. I was in Minnesota on a short weekend trip from out of state and ended up coming in on the wrong day (my fault), but they were still able to accommodate me. One of the techs offered to remove them on her break, which I thought was very generous. The tech removed them in about 15 minutes and was very caring throughout and walked me through the whole process in detail. I'd be back if I didn't live so far away!

By the way, when I booked the massages I just asked for an hour massage, didn't specify deep tissue, relaxation, etc. Starting off, the experience was fine. Their women's locker room isn't spacious but it has what you need - soft robes, sandals, bathrooms, and showers. You get comfy and relax in the lounge while you wait for your service. This time around, the lounge attendant didn't acknowledge us at all, didn't offer a drink nor the heated neck wrap. It was fine, I brushed it off because our service was in about 8 mins, so didn't have too much time to enjoy. The massage is the reason why this review is only 2 stars. We get called back, and it's a couples massage so me and my sister hear each others convos. My sister's massage therapist was kind and making sure she was comfortable. Mine asked if there were and areas I'd like her to focus on, I said lower back and shoulders. She spent more time on my legs and arms than my back at all. When she was working on my back, I asked about pressure, she said she was doing medium pressure. I requested more pressure, she ignored my request. She didn't respond nor did she change her pressure. Ending the massage, she hands me the glass of water and says.. you'll really want to schedule a massage, you're really tense in your shoulders.. I mean.. isn't that what I just did? Why did her giving me a massage for the last 55 minutes not help my tension in my shoulders? $140 wasted on this massage. Yes, I got to hang out with my sister, but didn't need to spend $140 to do that. The only reason I'm giving this review 2 stars is because it's about Spalon, and not just the massage therapist that I saw.

I was there at 6.20pm and she ended up taking me at 6.45pm. No apologies for taking me late and giving me a bad experience. I got a fill and the very next day the lashes started falling out!
