Face foundrie is my favorite spot to relax and treat myself. This location is inside of the galleria mall, by the cov and Starbucks. I always get he dermababe facial and am incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. The estis are knowledgeable and kind and do a great job. I will return again! Callie was great!

I have been seeing Alissa for monthly facials for years for a reason. She's amazing, the products they use are amazing and I love the aesthetic of the space. The perfect self care hour.

This review should be titled: Never Judge a Book by Its Cover. I had heard about The Face Foundry from friends and was hesitant to try it out. It had been on my mind for months and finally decided to take the leap. This women-led beauty business blew me away! From the moment I walked through the doors I felt welcomed and comfortable. All of the staff were friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable about all things skincare. I booked a Foundry Glow facial with a collagen mask as an add-on. The facial was amazing (and I'm still glowing two days later!) and my favorite part was the weighted blanket draped on top of me while I was getting the facial done. If you want to invest in your inner and outer beauty while also supporting a local women-led business, look no further! I cannot wait to go back!

Such a relaxing lash lift + tint experience here! I thought the prices were fair too. I'd like to go back to try one of their facials too.

First of all, she has incredible eye contact, says funny things, and is very educated on anatomy (she speaks intelligently it makes me feel secure, and develops great trust quickly). Lindsey took the time to listen to my concerns and educated me on the process, and when performing the procedure she had such a calm presence and demeanor and made for a more relaxing situation. PLEASE READ…read more At this point it has been more than 2 years since I first met with staff at Zel Skin. It took me a long time to write this because my experience receiving treatments with them was very negative, and it has taken me a long time to recover, both physically and emotionally. For anyone considering treatments with Zel Skin, and in particular, Dr. Adam Schmitt, I would strongly advise you to seek alternate consultations and treatments. Below is the outline of my experience with them. It is difficult for me to write this, but it is important for me to share in case I can prevent this experience for anyone else. In 2020 I came to Zel Skin for tattoo removal. I had a tattoo on the inside of my left forearm, unfortunately my body had a bad reaction to the red ink in the tattoo, and it was a source of ongoing discomfort that I wanted to remove. The clinic told me that they couldn't proceed with conventional laser tattoo removal, because of the risks associated with the red ink being dissolved into my bloodstream, potentially causing a worse reaction. Instead, in consultation with Dr. Brian Zelickson, I was advised to have the tattoo removed surgically in a series of procedures. The plan was to slice out a strip of skin from the middle of the tattoo (which was about 3.5 inches at its longest and 2 inches at its widest), stitch the skin back together, let the wound fully heal, and then repeat that procedure twice more until there was no more tattoo remaining. The first one of these surgeries went smoothly, and the recovery from that initial procedure gave me confidence in the clinic and Dr. Adam Schmitt. Unfortunately, that confidence was misplaced. After the initial surgery, Dr. Adam Schmitt recommended that we proceed with only one additional surgery, rather than following the initial plan. He thought he could remove the rest of the skin with tattoo ink on it with only one more procedure. This was appealing to me because it meant less surgery and faster healing. Unfortunately, this was overly ambitious and even dangerous, and Dr. Adam Schmitt struggled to stitch the skin back together after the tattoo was removed. I was sent home with a large open wound, and inadequate self-care instructions. A nurse that I know in my personal life was appalled that I was sent home in that condition and recommended home visiting wound care. When I asked what was going wrong and why the surgery hadn't proceeded as expected, Dr. Adam Schmitt told me that forearm skin is not as stretchy as other parts of the body. This seems like a fact that he should have taken into account before recommending we proceed with a second surgery removing more skin than originally planned. A couple weeks later, on the recommended timeline, I returned to Zel Skin in order for them to try to fully close the surgical wound they had left me with in the prior visit. Dr. Adam Schmitt continued to struggle to close the gap, and even resorted to removing fatty tissue in order to get the skin to close. This has left my left forearm with a noticeably different shape and size than my right forearm. Although the stitches were able to connect after this follow-up procedure, the skin was so tightly stretched that it began to cut off circulation to my hand. This necessitated reopening the wound in the same visit and restitching. The procedure took over four hours. It was clear Dr. Adam Schmitt and the secretary at ZelSkin were clearing his schedule as the procedure went on and on. When I got home, the wound continued to burst through the stitches and wouldn't stay closed. Please see the attached picture of the final healing, it shows where the stitches continued to burst, tear, and where new scar tissue was formed. It was at this point that my confidence in Zel Skin and Dr. Adam Schmitt was fully exhausted and I began to consult with a different dermatologist and medical team to help me physically recover from this experience and try to get my forearm into a presentable state for my wedding scheduled later that year. The skin was traumatized and flaring up accordingly. This timeline would not have been a concern if not for the disastrous results from Dr. Adam Schmitt's irresponsible approach to my tattoo removal. Later, in reviewing my patient records, I noticed that Zel Skin never submitted costs of the second surgery to my insurance carrier. To me this indicates that they knew that they made a serious mistake in implementing these procedures (which they would not admit to me directly), and didn't want any details leaving their clinic. The records are vague all over actually. Going into this process, I was fully aware that there would be some level of scarring after the tattoo removal was completed. However, the botched surgery, poor judgment by Dr. Adam Schmitt, and Zel Skin's efforts to minimize my concerns led to multiple painful surgeries, unnecessary levels of trauma, and excessive scarring (including the changed shape of my forearm,

My research has piqued my interest to trying Rhonda Allison products for ethnic skin. But Megan has sold me on giving her a try for "results driven" facials. Megan impressed me initially by sharing her knowledge and reasoning behind the products used. She definitely embodies the definition of a customized facial based off whatever reason brought you in her studio mixed with the recommendations that she has from what she notices. I appreciate this honesty. I personally do not use 3x mirrors because I can't handle what I might see. So I expect my esthetician to manage the horror and make me have Gabrielle-Union-like skin without having to drink a gallon of water a day. Is this too unreasonable? Apparently not, because Megan has convinced me that she can deliver. For my custom facial she used a high frequency wand to zap my milia and other skin issues. It was such a warming feeling to find her using this machine because I JUST purchased one but was afraid to use it because I didn't want to shock myself or cause any skin damage. She eagerly showed me how to use the device and informed me that it was a recommendation she usually gave to her ethnic clients, as well. Score for Heather for being proactive! I knew all my Amazon impulse buys would come in handy one day. In addition to an amazing facial, she gives neck, shoulder, and FOOT massages. I have never had a foot massage as part of my facial so give me a second while I rejoice... (Hallelujah!!!) It's so dark and dreary that it's quite impossible to compare colors and undertones properly. I generally avoid it for this reason, as the dim lighting is a hindrance enough that I can't discern swatch differences despite holding the palette of colors on the back of my hand up to any brighter source of light possible. A lot of people like to vary their makeup looks, and I enjoy appreciating their creative personal expressions of beauty. I prefer only to subtly enhance my natural looks, so I'm specifically seeking only most natural color possible. I take my time comparing products in being very deliberate in anything I do. With beauty products, I test new bestsellers in every beauty product type against my current kit once annually. I do the same with digital apps and programs twice a year. As I'm starting to become more active as a model again now, I'm fleshing out my kit again for the first time since pre-quarantine. One of my last products to find is a longwearing liquid lip product, which I narrowed down to two products across six colors to test in the store. Southdale was on my route, so I stopped in and was able to narrow the six down to three. With the lighting at the Southdale Sephora making the comparison of subtle swatch differences entirely unreliable, I asked to use my allowed three samples to be used for the three lip colors I'd narrowed down to from the palette of rosewood, tea rose, and nudes still swatched on the back of my hand. The Sephora teammate was visibly unwilling though verbally stating otherwise - before suggesting that I use the lip swatch applicator sticks to sample the three lip colors and bring outside to sample. Let me get this straight: You're actively suggesting that a customer swatch a lip stain product on three open-ended sticks to walk outside with. Questions: 1. The lip product is so known for its staining power that it comes with a warning, and you knew it had staining qualities as it was part of our conversation. I'm wearing white. Are you covering the cost of cleaning should a customer get bumped and get the staining product on their clothes on their way out? 2. The walk from the storefront to the parking lot is 5-10 minutes long. Long-wearing liquid lip products are known to be fast-drying, and the movement of walking plus the time between applications dry each one that much further, thus affecting test application, appearance, and wear. How did this factor into the logic of suggesting applicator sticks? 3. Testing immediately outside with no makeup removal product in hand to wipe clean between tests, the residue of each last color would of course affect the next. How is this conducive of proper sampling procedure? 4. Part of the intention of this sampling was to test the longwearing claim of the product and see how each of the three compare against each other. How does swatching one right after the other in a parking lot allow for practical wear testing? This is not the first time Sephora has been awkward about sampling. I've witnessed plenty of representatives assisting guests and being very passively aggressive about the practice, and that's across the nation. That said, this experience of mine was paired by far the most ridiculous reasoning I've received or witnessed yet. Sephora, if you don't want to offer samples, it's simple: Don't offer samples. If Sephora locations actively make customers feel unwelcome for asking for samples that the Sephora brand so proudly claims is a part of the brand experience, expect customers to have a major problem with this consistent incongruence in brand identity and the disconcerting treatment that has me looking elsewhere for ongoing subscription purchases for all products that become part of my kit as my response in voting with my dollar. That's bad business for Sephora considering that the brand carries over 50% of the products in my kit in stores and over 80% when ordering online.

Awful customer service. The staff is poorly trained and disrespectful. Would shop anywhere but here.read more
