They both are caring and super attention detailed. Disclaimer: I hate giving bad reviews of any business, but this situation was so bizarre that unfortunately I feel it's necessary. Also, this is not a review of their services as I did not stay long enough to get a wax. This is purely based upon my customer service experience. I'm sure Brook is incredibly talented at her craft, perhaps she was just having an off day...regardless, her hostile and condescending attitude was completely unwarranted. Let me explain: This was my first time coming to Blink. As you've read in previous reviews, it's a bit difficult to find the first time (if I were to ever return, now I know where to go - however that ain't happening). Evidently you get two emails: a confirmation email and a directions email. The directions email is much more detailed for people coming from different areas. The confirmation email basically narrows it down to where the building, entry driveway, and parking spaces are located. Again, this was my first time going to Blink, so I decided to just keep the confirmation email since I get a ton of emails a day; and it's a freaking confirmation email that gives me information about *my appointment* vs. a directions email which is just directions. Everything is going fine, I know where Sol tva is located as well as the driveway (almost moved there). Then the directions in the confirmation email said this: LOCATION. DIRECTIONS. PARKING.PLEASE READ ALL INFO @ blinkforbeauty.com -'location' *SOL TVA is an apt. bldg. that we share parking with. Access Blink parking using their driveway to the back. Our parking will be on right side, Loft 215. Ok, so I pull into the driveway and make a right. Nope. After being confused for a couple minutes, I then try going the opposite direction from which I came (left) and aha! There it is. Ok whatever, I'll say something to them when I get inside about how the directions in the confirmation email were a little confusing. I go inside, lovely space, Brook greets me, seems very friendly, and proceeds to check me in. I mention that the directions in my email were a bit confusing, and how I had followed them exactly and made a right, but it was actually to the left. She then asked which email I had followed, then told me I had followed the confirmation email. Had I followed the directions email, I wouldn't have been confused. Wait, what? Why would the directions in the confirmation email be any different than the directions in the directions email? And not just that, but the way she said it, oh if you had read the correct email you wouldn't have gotten confused...seriously? I followed my confirmation email. That has MY specific appointment info. Shouldn't the directions just be the same? So I told her I was confused by that, and it didn't make any sense to me. At this point, she started explaining to me how directions work - people come from *all different areas* so the direction email has the exact directions to the salon. Ahhhh...ok, but shouldn't the directions in the confirmation email also still be the same? The instructions to get to the parking space in the direction email say to make a left after entering the Sol Tva driveway...I still don't understand why the confirmation email didn't also. Then she asked me if there was anything else I'd like to argue about. Ummm...what?!? I wasn't aware I was arguing - again I was just confused, and being made to feel like it was MY fault for not following the directions correctly sure as hell didn't make me feel welcome or comfortable in any way. So I said no, I was not trying to argue - again I was just confused with why the two emails would have two different directions, and why it was my fault for not finding the parking space. She then shot me a look so saccharine it was nutrasweet and abruptly asked if I would still like to continue with my appointment. WHAT?!? Wtf?? I just came for a bikini wax, my first one ever at that..what is happening?? I'm so baffled at how quickly this whole situation escalated that without thinking I said yes and she lead me to the back room. As we walked in, the reality of what was going to happen, that this would not be a good, professional experience (since she had been SO professional already), finally dawned on me, so I told her that I didn't really feel comfortable proceeding with the wax. Her response: "that's why I asked you earlier before we walked all the way back here". Ok, I'm sorry, but holy crazy. I don't know what her problem was, definitely feel like she was projecting some kind of issues onto me, because no customer should ever be treated this way, especially since it was completely not merited and she was the one who escalated things and got hostile. So I left. And here we are. My one word of advice, Blink (and trust me, I have many): own up to your mistakes - messed up directions? Whoops, sorry, no big deal. Well, the reviews were right. It's wonderful. My face is pretty sensitive to waxing but my eyebrows were getting out of control, so I finally decided to try threading. It's not that easy to find threading locally, but all the five-star review love from my Yelp sisters pointed me to Blink. Christina banished the fuzzy creatures from my face this morning and left me with the nicest looking brows I've had since that fateful day when I followed a YM Magazine tutorial. Truly, they've never looked better. The threading is a strange feeling at first (like someone is slowly velcro-ing your face?), but the lovely Christina walked me through the process and I was totally comfortable with it. She seems to share my affinity for fuller brows, which made me feel like I could completely trust her not to leave me with a pencil thin shape. She took her time making sure she cleaned up all the strays and then she gave me a quick lesson on using powder to fill in the sparser areas. And again, they look awesome. The eyebrow waxing/threading is $30 (plus tip), so it's not cheap but we pay a premium in Minnesota because there's basically very few places to get threading done. I imagine I'll probably come back to Blink periodically when my brows get wild and crazy, but do my own maintenance in the meantime. The studio is beautiful and I was really impressed with the product selection, though I didn't have time to actually sample much of it. They have very natural and organic lines like Intelligent Nutrients and Alima (mineral makeup). They offer facials and body waxing as well, and a portion of their profits goes to an animal rescue charity. It's worth the treasure hunt, but just a fair warning that it's tucked away and very hard to find. I had to call Christina and have her walk me through it, in addition to reading through the directions that they sent in a confirmation email. Other than being cute and close to home, I like this place because...well....Christina did a nice job with my brows! My appointment was originally for threading, but following my consultation I decided to have the top of my brow threaded (to avoid the bumps I tend to get with waxing) and the bottom waxed (to speed the process). After several weeks of letting my brows grow wildly in an attempt to start a fresh new shape, I was concerned about having too much taken off and expressed that, which she hear loud and clear. To avoid going thinner than I was comfortable with, she proceeded to just clean up the stray hairs and then then had me check out the results to determine if I wanted more taken off and of so, where. We repeated the process perhaps 1 or 2 times till I was happy. Never once did she try to rush me. Overall, I was happy with the experience. The only challenge I had was finding the place, which they obviously know is a problem considering all of the direction they provide. I decided to walk there and took 2nd Street and I'm glad I did. Had I taken Washington I don't know if I would have end up. With that said, if you decide to walk, I suggest taking 2nd St., and then turning into the parking lot of the Sol TVA building. Christina has waxed/threaded my brows for about 4 years. I have blonde brows and (prior to her) was always under the impression that it didn't really matter what my brows look like because you couldn't see them anyway. Christina proved me wrong! She gives my brows beautiful shape, colors them in a way that is totally unintuitive to me, but looks amazing. She is personable and makes a previously painful experience really luxurious. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed by Brooke ever since I moved to Minneapolis four years ago, and I refuse to go anywhere else. When I look back on pictures of what my brows looked like before going to her, I cringe! I have also had a brow tint, wax and recently a mini luxe facial done by her- all five star services that will definitely be repeats for me. What's so great about Brooke is that she's professional yet personable and also very knowledgeable about skincare and beauty services. She has done her homework on every service and product that they use, and it shows. Absolutely amazing experience! Brook is a true professional. As a tip- e-mail her directly to set up the appointment. The online reservations aren't working at the moment. She will accommodate you via e-mail and is very prompt. The studio is beautiful! I appreciated the directions. Made it very easy to find. Brook explained exactly what was happening with my skin and the best way to take care of it. She wasn't pushy in any way and only offered advice when asked. The facial was as relaxing as it gets. Even the extractions were painless. I got the mini luxe facial. She steamed my face while applying different masks and creams and did a few extractions. While the masks were sitting she massaged my neck, shoulders, and arms. This was true pampering. She left me with specific samples of face care for my needs. Can not rave enough about it! read more

Not recommended. I did some search to find a good place to get my eyebrows shaped and Blink was constantly showing up. 1. Appointment I called like 2 days in a row to be able to reach someone. Frustrating. I only did it because the reviews said it was worth it. 2. Directions The email directions were confusing and I almost gave up going. It felt like I was going to some secret but unsafe place. When google maps or iPhone maps or even satellite maps don't find the place, it's quite creepy. 3. Atmosphere Okay, in reality, it was located in a neighborhood I knew well and don't get why they sent so weird instructions as if they're trying to discourage people from coming. I still followed my phone maps not their directions and found the place just fine. Inside is very welcoming, glassy and chic. 4. Looooooooong wait I made the appointment weeks ahead cause they were fully booked. I expected my service to start on time or with very little wait. But no, I had to wait whopping 25 mins past my appointment time. The woman was done but kept flirting and talking with the guy who had just finished having his eyebrows done. A guy who gets his eyebrows done?! If the next customer is here and waiting, she should've politely informed the man to leave as she has a customer waiting. But no, she kept talking about his business and travel plans for next week etc. 5. Service? I don't feel serviced! She asked me if I ever got my brows done at Blink, I said no. She asked me if I liked wax or thread or tweezing etc. I said I'd leave it to her capable hands as she's the professional not me. She chose to thread. It didn't hurt, just when it started, she said I could go. What?!!!! It was less than 2 mins. 6. Don't listen to you She didn't ask me what I wanted, my ideal shape etc. she said it wasn't important as you can't create whatever you want in 1 visit. Totally didn't listen to what I wanted. I was super polite and respectful to her, but I didn't get any respect in return. 7. Not satisfied If she did a great job even though she didn't listen to me because she knew better.. Well, if that was the case, I would've been happy. She can ignore me all she wants. BUT after 25 mins of extra waiting time and $40 and 2 mins of service later, I have eyebrows that don't look any better than it started. I'm not happy! read more

So. Am I being a responsible, unemployed, 20-something year old by dropping the money I do on my brows? Some might say "no". I'd tell them to go see Christina at Blink and get back to me. Not only will she transform your face with a piece of string, but she is possibly the nicest person you will meet. Ever. I've been going here for at least a year and have had nothing but pleasant experiences. Even when I completely forgot about an appointment Christina was totally understanding. Threading isn't too painful, just feels like some light scratching. I've also had waxing (or was it sugaring? It might be sugaring...) done here and it is much less painful than other places I've tried. The place itself really isn't that hard to find...just follow the directions and give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to find it before your first appointment. Blink has a couple designated parking spots right outside the door which is fantastic when one's trying to park downtown. Appointments can be made online which is a nice convenience when I suddenly realize at 3 in the morning how badly I need a brow touch-up. As far as I know Blink is still cash-only so hit up an ATM with a bit extra for a tip (because trust me...you'll look in the mirror and want to tip). I would also like to mention that Blink has really made an effort to carry safer and more natural-than-usual skincare products (wax (sugar?), facial care, make-up). Love that! And the space they have is so cute. And it always smells good. And you're always offered water. And, and, and it's awesome. Occasionally, when I'm feeling particularly stingy, I'll tell myself, "tweezers for now...I'll just do some maintenance". It's not the same. Show your brows you care. They'll thank you. Or you'll thank them for looking so awesome. Which means you should really be thanking Christina. read more

Meh. I've seen both people here multiple times, and while they do a decent enough job with brows (nothing miraculous, though, like other reviews claim), they're nothing to write home about. The problem with Blink is that they're highly ranked in all of the Mpls magazines and know it. The consequence of this involves a sense of entitlement I detected on multiple occasions from the estheticians (e.g., consistently running late without an apology). This business should work on getting over itself and reminded that this isn't NYC or LA, where, ironically, the people are less fake and the prices far more reasonable. People are supposed to be down to earth here, right? I thought that was the supposed appeal of the upper Midwest. Props to them for their for their fabulous interior design, though. And bonus points for online booking. If the boutique experience is worth what you could get elsewhere for half the price, then waiting in line for a $35 brow wax is a mere price to pay. read more

Pros: -The salon is beautifully designed; the location and atmosphere transport you to a chic loft in New York City. -You will be offered fruit- or cucumber-infused water in fancy champagne glasses and whatever else your heart desires to feel comfortable. -The stylists do a great job shaping brows and the brow tint looks perfectly natural. Cons: -The prices are astronomical. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded in Chicago for a decade and have never paid more than $10, or $12 with tip. If you take a trip to Devon Ave ("little India") in Chicago, you will never pay more than $5 for the best threading job you could imagine. If you come to Blink, you are paying 600% more for the atmosphere alone. -The place is difficult to find, and parking is not always ideal. If you do find a spot, you have to put a parking pass inside your car. -Despite being in Minneapolis, the swanky chic atmosphere felt a little too "high brow" (pun intended) for me. Maybe it was the other clients I encountered, who knows. Conclusion: I enjoyed my threading and brow tint, but will never again pay that much money for results that only last 2-3 weeks at best. Maybe I'm a lot cheaper than the folks dishing out 5-star reviews for Blink, but I'm definitely saving my cash and taking my business to the mall kiosk next time. read more

Since I moved to Minneapolis, I have been searching for a good place to get my brows done. I have very thick brows and wanted to make sure they didn't get butchered. Thank goodness I found blink! Brooke is amazing! She waxes my brows perfectly every time. Yes, its a bit pricey but you will leave with beautiful and perfectly formed brows. Im my opinion their services are totally worth the money. PS...and to all the reviews that say this place is trying to be like NYC or CA.... I'll tell you what I told Christina. My only previous experience with eyebrow threading had been with a woman working out of Mall of America's third floor who talked nonstop on her Bluetooth. Way to make me feel like a valued customer! Although I'd scheduled a waxing at Blink, I reconsidered the threading option when I showed up for my appointment. My meek inquiry was greeted warmly and we got to work. The threading was much less painful and more relaxed even in comparison to relatively calm waxings. Christina is a master and I can't wait for my eyebrows to become overgrown so I can visit once again. For now, Blink only accepts cash and checks. Christina offered me a postage paid envelope so I could pay later. I don't even know where my checkbook is; I opted for an ATM run to J's. There are two free parking spots in the back for Blink customers specifically; there are also seven guest spaces available. A portion of their proceeds go to an animal shelter. Aw. First off, I am a heterosexual guy, who previously never had a facial. As such, I am going in with a lot of anxiety and worry, as I do not know what to expect, or even ask. Since my teenage years, I have always had some complexion issues, and I wanted to do something about it, but in a place where I felt comfortable and that I would not be taken for a ride. I found it with Blink. Brook was awesome. She is really nice, and made me feel very comfortable from the first time I spoke to her. She took me thought all the steps, explained what was happening with my skin, and provided some samples and recommendations for things for me to try at home, to maintain my skin. It was really a wonderful experience. I must also give her praise on the post appointment follow up, which went above and beyond. She had written down some products, which I promptly got confused when I got to the store to buy them. I sent her a follow up email, with a picture of what I got (which was wrong). We had some phone issues, but she did not stop following up, until we got them sorted out and I got her text, with the images of the right product, which she sent to me on a Sunday night. I was stunned - most places you don't get help once the appointmeent is done; she is sending me texts on Sunday night (right before the Oscars!) to make sure I got the right product, and I had only been there once. I can not say enough good things about the experience or nice things about her. I would go back, and to my fellow heterosexual males who are debating getting a facial, I would recommend it without hesitation. My eyebrows look like an Instagram post and that deserves a review. Brook managed to thread my subpar brows into an arch so enviable I debated actually posting an Instagram of my eyebrows. This coming from a woman who would respond to the question "what's your problem area?" with "eyebrows, for sure eyebrows." Brook's attention to detail was impeccable. I wanted so badly to like this place. I've only been to one other place to get a bikini wax before (which was fine), but after reading all the glowing reviews of Blink, I wanted to see what I was missing out on. So, I decided to go before a vacation. I don't know if it was just an off day (based on the other reviews), but I was disappointed. I don't want to get too graphic, but I asked for a tailored bikini (more than a bikini, less than a brazilian). The waxer was very friendly and talkative and was obviously trying to keep me at ease. However, she got me on the table and without ever asking what I wanted specifically, she laid down wax and pulled, taking hair that I didn't want gone. She continued and then abruptly stopped and just left the room. So, I just got dressed quickly and by the time I got out of the room, she was already with another customer. In the end, the waxing was uneven, unfinished, and I lost a little skin. The atmosphere was lovely here, and she was nice (outside of the actual waxing). It wasn't very painful either. But, the end result was not acceptable in my opinion. I'm going back to my old place next time. Their wax may be a little more painful, but it's worth it. read more

I've been coming here since they first opened; I first entrusted my brows to Christina back in 2006 when she was at Extrados in Linden Hills. She was also the second person I saw when I moved back to Minneapolis this past fall after a few years away. I'm totally loyal because her skills are no joke, you guys. Another esthetician had somehow managed to make the Amazon rain forests growing above each of my eyes too thin, after the previous one had given me the dreaded "half brow" (where they take wayyyyyy to much from the middle). Basically, I had given up hope of ever finding someone who listened when I told them "don't take off too much!" until I saw a coworker's perfect pair and asked her where she got hers done. Am I glad I asked! Christina is always careful to make sure she listens to what you want your brows to look like, while giving you her expert opinion on what would look best. She takes pride in what she does, and is a total sweetheart to boot! I actually look forward to getting my brows threaded here, because not only will I look better, but Christina totally makes my day with her warm and welcoming personality. A bonus is the super cool loft space that makes you feel a little fabulous just for being there every other week. Additionally, I've seen Brooke once, and really enjoyed my experience - I was totally at ease even though it was my first time seeing her. I was super pleased with my results with her as well! I had an AWESOME experience at Blink. I had an eyebrow threading with Christina S. She was awesome - walked me through the whole process (I used to wax, this was my first threading) and made sure I knew what she was going to do before she did it. It made me really comfortable with a new hair removal technique. The results were amazing! I used to get bumps after waxing and I didn't even get red after the threading with Christina! In addition, Christina went above and beyond in terms of customer service. I left my check book there on accident and I currently live in Texas -- Christina spent the time and money to ship it back to me. I had such a great experience at Blink with my facial and brow appointments. Brook gave me a facial that has done wonders to revive my skin after a long Minnesota winter. The room where she did the facial was cozy and incredibly relaxing. She gave me great information as she went through the facial - diagnosing as well as suggesting tweaks to my skincare routine. And my skin? It looks and feels amazing! Christina waxed my brows (I am not quite ready for threading). It was a quick appointment with big results. I experienced my first bikini wax this weekend at Blink with Brook and was blown away. The atmosphere is very comfortable and chic and Brook made me feel totally comfortable in walking me through step by step what to expect. What you might also imagine to be an awkward experience in meeting someone for the first time and then dropping your pants was totally not awkward at all and I am completely pleased with the results. Parking was slightly confusing, but they email you detailed instructions. Once you find it the first time it is a cinch for the future. I went to Christina a couple days before my wedding for some shaping. Although the shop is a little hard to find, it's well worth it! The space is beautiful and full and light with pretty furniture. Christina immediately welcomed us in and I felt like I knew her already. She did an amazing job on my brows and was very calm and reassuring. I recently went into Blink to try the threading. I had not had my brows done in quite some time and really needed it, and was always curious about the threading process. The salon is a very beautiful and peaceful space, and Christina was an incredibly nice and warm person. She led me through the threading process and asked me a lot of questions about what I wanted my brows to look like. She actually kept my arches! Usually when I try a new place, I end up with the sad college girl frowny faces over my eyes, but the results were just what I always wanted. The threading is about as painful as plucking, but Christina is so gentle and gets it done incredibly fast, you'll hardly notice. I have never been to a better professional. After several years with great eyebrow services/results, my regular aesthetician left the state with no warning. As I scrambled to find someone just as great (if not better), I stumbled across Blink after reading reviews on Yelp! I had my first appointment with Christina today and, though I was not surprised, I had an incredible experience. Christina started my appointment by listening to what I had done in the past and what I'd like to continue to have done. She also gave her professional opinion on what was best for my face based on a number of different things. This attention to detail was awesome. At my appointment today, she both waxed and tinted my eyebrows. The results once she was finished? As the saying goes today, my "eyebrows are on fleek." To top it off, Christina is one of the sweetest women you'll come across and it's easy to bond with her the moment you meet her. After letting her know I forgot a check/cash but I'd run to an ATM real quick, she told me not to apologize and handed me an envelope to mail a check to her when I got home. How often do you hear that these days? This place rocks. In response to what some other reviewers wrote, the price to me is more than fair. Certainly, you can go to a mall kiosk for something a tad bit cheaper, but you will not find the level of customer service or the results you would get with Blink. Also, it's not hard to find. Perfect, amazing brows are created here! Brook and Christina are experts, and make you feel at home. I have scarring from a previous esthetician who used wax that was too hot, and burned me. I was worried about having more waxing done, and so they thread me instead. Which is more precise, and way less painful than waxing. Amazing service, a lovely environment and vwey welcoming. I must say Brook was amazing! I never had my eyebrows shaped before, but I wanted to get it done before my wedding day. I went in for a threading but after my consultation we felt waxing was best for my eyebrows. I was beyond satisfied. I did not want thin eyebrows and wanted a more natural look. That is exactly what she gave me. I expected more pain with waxing, but not with Brook. I barely noticed. I was treated so well. I went to the door and there was a sign with my name on it. It said to have a seat, and there was water and cookies available. She made the appointment feel special and I felt pampered. I would go again. Word of advice. Follow the directions they email to you before your appointment. I was able to find the place easily by following them. read more

Beautiful place! Very clean and relaxing environment. Christina was very professional and she did a great job in threading. She explained the procedure up front and was happy to answer all my questions! You get a very personalized treatment and care! The only downside is the location which is hard to find and I think it's a bit pricey for me but you get what you pay for. read more

Wow. I just got back from a series of "firsts" at Blink: my first facial and my first threading experience. Brook totally blew me away and for two hours I was pampered beyond my expectations (which were already very high due to the 20-something 5-star reviews that precede mine). I did a bunch of stupid research before deciding to book an appointment at Blink. Cost was one factor, and from what I can tell from my research, Blink is extremely competitively priced compared to other salons in the Twin Cities. I called the uptown Juut to inquire about pricing on a facial with a new student artist. It was the same length in time but cost $10 more than Brook's amazing expertness! I settled on Blink especially after checking out their online scheduling system. I was sold. First of all, the space is totally adorbs. Beautifully tasteful and immaculately clean. The brow and makeup stations are in the front of the salon; the facial rooms are in the back. Love the designated parking spaces in the back lot, totally convenient. There is massive construction directly across the small lot, which makes getting to Blink burdensome... but it was totally worth the dirty looks I got from construction workers as I drove back and forth 230732085 times before finding the proper entrance to the lot. Brook walked me through everything after I explained this was my first ever facial. Like, every minute detail. Which is awesome, because when you are 27 and getting your first facial it's nice to know what you're in for. The facial room I was in was uber cute, with its Audrey Hepburn theme and suuuuuper comfy bed. The restroom adjacent to the facial rooms is also super fly and ginormous. Very cozy yet classy space with lots of thoughtful details and decor. It was also the first time I'd ever had anyone assess my skin in any real way. Brook gave me specific information about my skin and what I need to do to care for it. I'm totally lazy/careless about doing this, but felt no judgment from Brook. I somewhat expected to be lectured about drinking too little water and not wearing high enough SPF but Brook didn't go there, at all. She did identify problems with my skin that I didn't even know I had, but I didn't feel like it was bullshit and it wasn't tied to a sales pitch, so it was genuinely informative for me. The facial was glorious. Relaxing, and thorough as hell. I'm a total Aveda stan (everything just smells so damn good) but I loved the scents of the products Brook used on me. Again - Brook told me what she was doing with each step and what products she was using, but I was NEVER pressured to buy anything at any point during my visit. In fact, I was sent home with two awesome samples of recommended products for my skin, but was also provided with a long list of suggested brands that Blink does NOT sell. After the facial, I got my brows did. Threading is AWESOME. Brook showed me the thread, explained the process, etc. Fast and painless! After she threaded them, she did a final sweep with her tweezers and then handed me the mirror. Flawless! I know that I've NEVER had eyebrows as ridiculously clean (no strays at all!) and symmetrical as they are now. They look and feel amazing. I am not a spa girl at all but this could totally become my spa. As Brook sent me away with my samples, she recommended I come in when the seasons change and on an as-needed basis. Again! A consummate professional after my own heart... so value the work Blink does!!! read more

I followed Brook here after she left Juut as a Master Esthetician. I would follow her anywhere. She is the eyebrow goddess of the Twin Cities. No question about it. (I've also heard Christina is quite good.) She definitely believes in a more natural brow which is really the most modern option. Even when they grow out, they still look decent because Brook is such a master shaper. She really customizes your brows to work for you and your face shape. You will not be sorry. Her facials are also amazing. She's so calming and gentle. Using only natural and organic products. The Warehouse District loft space is one of my favorites. Beautifully decorated. You just feel cool going there. And because it's just Brook and Christina, you rarely see any other clients, making it even more relaxing and private. Most importantly though, Brook is a truly special and kind person. I've been going to her for more than five years and she's one of the most thoughtful and mature people I've ever known. She always listens to me and gives such valuable insight and advice. It's almost like free therapy. One time, I got horribly ill mid-facial and Brook was so understanding. Refused to let me pay and was more concerned with my well being. Always flexible and laid-back toward appointment scheduling, which I appreciate. She has this motherly softness to her. Luckily she's in the right industry. I find that some of the people I meet on a fairly superficial-friendship level (hair stylists, waxers, nails, etc.) do not impress me with their personalities. They say a lot of flippant comments and talk without thinking. Not Brook, she is the epitome of class. I like giving my money to people/places I respect. Clearly, I love Brook, I love Blink. Christina Snead is a truly gifted artist in every sense of the word. Waxing, threading and tweezing are her tools and eyebrows her medium. I first went from her on recommendation from a friend who said how amazing she was. I had given up eyebrow maintenance because I'd deemed it something I could do on my own with my own tweezers. When I walked into blink, I immediately loved the space, it has a serene, calming feeling, but I was quickly captivated by Christina's warm nature. The good energy that emanates from there is palpable. I sat on the chair and we assessed the situation. I'd been the victim of my own overzealous plucking and the magnifying mirror (ladies you hear me on this one). Christina pointed out the asymmetry I hadn't noticed before and areas that needed filing in and removed. She got to work, waxing, threading and plucking. She told me about the type of wax she uses (less irritating), the denim strips (grips better) and the threading technique she studied in NYC. The end result was amazing. I didn't know brows had such an impact - my eyes seemed bigger! I couldn't believe it. I walked away a convert. Oh - and did I mention I come from Chicago just to see her? In 3 visits, Christina has transformed my brows and turned me into a brow narcissist. Anyone who thinks they don't need their brows done should go. I can schedule my appointments elsewhere via text message and it still costs $7 for a banging good eyebrow thread. I agree with the other poster that the Twin Cities have confused themselves with NY or CA, where I can actually get threaded for $6 and I don't need an appointment.
