I'm not sure why this location asked, because they didn't seem to follow anything I wrote. But nothing here. My boyfriend also didn't want his feet touched and that was also listed in the paperwork. Unfortunately that was not followed. We were brought to our locker rooms and they were clean, had our names and chocolates in the lockers. Very nice touch! Our robe sizes and slides were also in our lockers. There is a large shower, 2 bathroom stalls and vanity with make up lighting. We then walked to the lobby area. This was where we started to have thoughts. Employees were talking in full volume. Not very relaxing. They also kept coming in and out of the room, talking, stocking snacks constantly! Again not very relaxing. The water was nice with a lemon. My boyfriend went to get water for hot tea but the water was room temp. Not very comforting. The massages were nice. I had Ingrid and she was lovely! She did a great job and was soft in speaking during the massage. My boyfriend said his massage therapist was talking at normal volume and didn't find it as relaxing. Afterwards we said in the lobby area again. In my opinion, the fireplace at maple grove is more welcoming and comforting. This place had what looked like a diffuser and eventually it turned off and started beeping. Again not relaxing. The lobby area is also larger at the maple grove location. Now if the valet will be available is a whole other story. It took a considerable amount of time to drop off my car and I had asked three different employees about getting change for tipping and this proved more difficult than expected. I was greeted by Laura - who truly was the bright spot in this whole experience. She was on top of it and so friendly. She got me a locker and got me set up. I was eager to come here because they boasted a steam room, sauna, rainforest shower, and hot tub. Lukewarm would be a great way to describe this experience. The steam room just didn't get as steamy or warm as I would like, I had to turn on the sauna myself and wait for it to warm up (energy efficiency maybe) and the hot tub had water features that were spitting out ice cold water - cooling down the whole hot tub. I didn't venture to the rainforest shower because I couldn't bear to be any colder! I did love the tiled heated chairs in this lounge though! Normally these features would be my favorite and I could spend all day rotating but Anda spa caps you at an hour. There are a few lounges that you can check out. The one lounge has a few snacks, unlabeled tea, and fruit infused water. As some one with allergies - the mystery of it all wasn't great. The other lounge had weighted blankets. I was told to wait in either lounge for my technician. My technician was around 10 minutes late to my appointment without any notice. I had to walk out to the front to flag a staff member down to make sure I understood the instructions correctly. This definitely detracted from the relaxed vibe. The facial was in a brighter room than I'm used to and obviously you're downtown so it can be a bit noisy. The facial itself was good and the technician had strong hands though I wish I would've researched more about the products. My skin has felt dried out since and it's just not the best experience I've had. I'm going to check out some other spa options before I return here. Again - Laura was phenomenal and the space is clean and modern - I just didn't have the experience that I would've liked for the price.

Instead, you change in your service room, with your items remaining there. Service - I booked a 1hr Deep Tissue Massage with Elsa, which was GREAT! The service started with burning something that smelled like Paolo Santo. The areas of pain welcomed the deep pressure, for other areas of my body it was too much. So I told her and she adjusted accordingly. There was music playing, which was a bit loud. However, it was soothing, with no odd pitches or tones so I didn't mind. What I did mind was the distractions from outside the room. Sadly, it was right by the entrance door (for that space) and the walls in the room don't go all the way up. Therefore, sounds of the heavy door opening and closing, people talking, squeaky floors as they walked by filled the air as I tried to immerse into the experience. During the service she did use some warm towels on me, and ended with the paolo santo (or perhaps it was sage) again. Departing- My massage therapist told me to meet her outside after I changed. I thought she meant outside of the service room so hung out in that lounge for a while, before deciding to go look for her, in the main lobby area. That's where I found and she checked me out. This made me wonder if there's a designated front desk/ guest service staff member. Anyway, while checking me out she also gave me a cup of water, her card, a promo card, Biscoff cookies and a mint. There were retail products there as well as in the previous room, but I didn't get a chance to really look before heading out. Anyway, based on my experience with Elsa, I would recommend and return.

I could not relax, the technique was disappointing, and there was a fan blowing on me along with distracting clicking and other noises throughout the massage. My girlfriend's experience was no better. She was noticeably flinching from the amount of pressure and pain during what was supposed to be a Swedish massage. Every girl needs to have fabulous eyebrows! Christina Snead at Blink located in the Warehouse District is by far the BEST brow guru in the Twin Cities. She is a Shoba Threading Specialist as well! For those girls with sensitive skin, threading is the way to go (threading is great for all skin types..but you get my point)! Where else do you go for a wax or a thread where your esthetician spends at least a 1/2 hour on your brows? She can create and shape a brow that is flattering to every person's face. If you have less than stellar brows when you first go to Christina, she can create a masterpiece. I'm telling you she is the best!! I get so many compliments on my eyebrows!!! Not only is Christina extremely talented at what she does, but her personality and warmth make you never want to leave her side. Some of my best conversations have been with Christina. Who knew getting your brows done could be so rewarding?! The cool loft space in the Warehouse District always has these amazing scented candles burning, flavored water waiting to rehydrate you, and some light techno music playing in the background! As a bonus, she's recently added some great jewelry pieces from NYC at very reasonable prices. You MUST check it out for yourself: read more

I just got back from my first facial and professional brow shaping (ever) at Blink and let me tell you, the experience was perfect. As a first timer Brooke took great care to explain everything she was doing to me - I really appreciated that. She was gentle during the brow shaping (I did waxing not threading), showing me where I needed to let them grow in and where I could pluck, etc, I already scheduled another shaping with Brooke in 4 weeks! Now on to the facial, I just did the 30 minute facial but it was absolutely amazing. I learned more about my skin in those 30 minutes than I could have ever imagined. She didn't push or even suggest a single product, but she did give me suggestions about things I could do to improve my problem areas (e.g., start using a clay mask once a week and add a hydrating toner to my skincare routine). This is exactly what I was hoping for, the other reviews don't lie! Brooke and Blink rocks! My skin feels amazing, my brows look great, and I learned way more than expected. I highly recommend Blink. If there were more than 5 stars they would get them! read more

Why you should go visit Christina at Blink: 1) You want amazing eyebrows. Christina looks at you face and shapes your brows in a way that is most flattering to your face shape. She took my sparse pointy eyebrows (which made me look like an angry witch) and transformed them into beautiful brows that frame my face. Instead of waxing, Christina threads and tweezes my brows, which allows for more flexibility for shaping than waxing. 2) You aren't into pain or red blotchy skin Because Christina usually threads my brows it's a pretty painless process. I don't have any redness or blotchiness so I can go about my day without worrying about redness. 3) You don't want to pay an unreasonable amount for these amazing eyebrows. 4) Amazing Service- Christian is one of the most professional, talented, and coolest people I've ever met. Blink has a beautiful space in the warehouse district with free parking. Make an appointment now. You won't regret it. read more

I am from North Carolina and was in desperate need of some eyebrow grooming. I chose Blink based on the review that I found online and was thrilled to find out it was only 3 miles from where I was staying. My first appointment I had to cancel last minute because I lost my car keys. Christina was so understanding and helped me reschedule. Her personality alone is worth making a trip into Blink, but the magic she is able to work on brows makes really seals the deal. When I walked in Christina was so warm and welcoming. She took the time to look at my brows and how they worked with the rest of my face. Luckily she believes in a fuller brow which I love. I have to have my eyebrows threaded because my skin is too sensitive for waxing. Christina made this as painless as possible and I walked out with the most beautiful brows. Every woman in this city should visit Blink! read more

I had my brows threaded by Christina last week and they look wonderful! Christina and her business partner clearly care about their clients and the community. They have created a very comfortable space and research all of their products thoroughly to find the best natural products available. Also a portion of the proceeds are given to two local organizations. Christina makes it a point to meet and learn from other brow experts to perfect her technique and the one she uses hurts less compared to what I am used to. I had thought I had found the best brow expert possible when living in Oakland, but Christina is even more wonderful. Unfortunately, the last person who did my brows ruined their shape, but Christina is helping me get it back. I've only had one appointment so far, and my brows already look so much better. read more

Good gracious this place rocks. First of all, I have never had my eyebrows groomed, let alone threaded. When I read the great reviews on Yelp, I figured this would be the place for a first-timer. Spot on. Brooke was extremely kind and explained everything that she was going to do. All my fears of leaving with Divine brows were gone within seconds. Yes, the parking was a bit wonky, but they hope to have that all figured out by August 1st. I also like how they have a frequent customer card. That kind of thing is always a good incentive. It's extra appealing because Blink's prices are higher end. When I left, I no longer looked haggard (I have a two-year old.) My brows were nicely shaped and my whole face looked brighter and more alive. Really, what more could you ask for? read more

I've had thin eyebrows since the first them I got them done in high school, about 9 yrs ago and I recently decided to grow them out. When I walked into Blink my eyebrows were a mess- uneven, bushy, and it wasn't growing in evenly (lots of empty spots at the bottom). She even showed me how to fill them in! I'm so in love!!! I was considering getting permanent eyebrow tattoo- the hair strokes but not any more!!! Go here, you will not be disappointed. I went here to see Heidi on the recommendation of Jen from Maude Salon, who told me that Heidi had…read morerescued her from past eyebrow emergencies. Not waxing your eyebrows for ehhh...6 years? Disastrous attempts at plucking throughout high school? That was my emergency. So I gave her a shot and oh I'm so glad I did! When untamed, my eyebrows are seriously out of control and I start to look like my very italian Dad who, you know, looks fine with those eyebrows because he's not a nineteen year old girl. Heidi told me I had very difficult brows and then proceeded to work magic on them to the point where, on the drive home, I couldn't stop checking myself out in the rear view mirror and nearly ran into a bus. Safe! But seriously, they are perfect. The salon is adorable, very welcoming. There's parking on the street all around, even on a Saturday, and no meters. I was offered a drink the second I stepped foot in the door and didn't have to wait at all even though I was twenty minutes early. The waxing itself was extremely comfortable and basically pain free, and they use all natural and organic products so my overly sensitive skin doesn't freak the hell out a few hours after waxing. I am sort of waxing poetic about this place but I think it (and Heidi) most definitely deserve it. Excellent!

The actual room where they perform the services is a bit weird because it's one room with about 8 beds, there are curtains separating the beds on the sides but the curtain doesn't go all the way around. They also play really loud music, presumably to drown out all the conversations going on at once. They do offer a sheet and a weighted blanket which felt really good during the service. Mackenzie did an amazing job with the lift and tint! She was welcoming, professional, and efficient. I will be back anytime I need another lift and tint!

I pulled a number and I waited 45 minutes without my number getting called and had to finally leave, as it was a weekday and I had a work meeting at 1 pm. The second time, I arrived again on a weekday, this time on a Tuesday at 7:20ish. There were at least 9 people ahead of me and I immediately asked the threaders, 'do I have a chance?' Their policy states that last call is 7:45. The threaded responded 'yeah you do.' I had my ticket in hand and went to a store nearby. I returned before closing and there were still customers in the chairs having their brows threaded. It was minutes before closing at 8 and as mentioned, there were still women being threaded. I came with my number and the threaders now stated 'no we aren't taking anyone.' When I reiterated what I was told just some minutes before, they said 'you have to wait here.' I was in absolute shock. There is no sign written that you must wait there after you have already pulled a number for your spot in line. There was no notice of this when I had just spoken to the threaders when I asked if I had a chance. This felt like a convenient excuse in the moment. Only come here if you have 2 hours for your commute and to sit and stare at all of the other people waiting in line for an hour before your turn comes.
