I recently got a lash lift and tint here and it was truly the best I have ever gotten. Shortly after getting the lift/tint I went backpacking for five days in the Andes and Amazon. I dealt with rain, humidity, sun, sweat...and my lashes looked (and STILL look) exactly how they did when I first got them done. Truly truly truly incredible magic happening here. I had the most lovely massage this afternoon at Tula Spa. My husband gifted me with the Work From Home Massage which really focuses on your upper body-neck, back & arms. I carry so much tension in my neck and I left so relaxed! I love the Tula location. The inside is decorated so cute and the room you get a massage in has a light projected on the ceiling that looks like stars and waves of water. It is street parking but I was able to find a parking spot easily without having to parallel park. I highly recommend booking yourself a spa there. read more

The express massage was a focused, 30-minute session which most people use for 1-2 body areas. The spa was lovely! Stylish decor, fun and unique body care products, and eclectic music give Tula a modern, artsy vibe I haven't experienced in many Minneapolis/St Paul spas. Sara was great, highly recommend! The sell products for face, body, beauty, CBD elixir drops, chakra oils, jewelry, and more Here's what I loved: A welcoming environment, with staff/owners that are genuinely kind and upbeat. Nothing about their interactions seemed fake, or pretentious. They were very accommodating! My friend asked if we could bring some beverages to enjoy post service and they obliged. We hung out (in the waiting area)an hour after our treatments and never did we feel rushed or unwelcomed. Lastly I like 1) the range of products, and 2)that the products available seemed intentional (nothing random). What I got: Reiki Energy session. Prior to starting my provider explained the process, and had me pick a card much like you'd do with tarot (not required). Afterward you can read why the meaning of the card. Anyway she was hands off, meaning she didn't touch me... just placed her hands and the crystal above me. My eyes were closed the entire time with a "mask " on. It was very relaxing, and what I imagine meditating would feel like if I could still still. Anyway following my session I received a free Amethyst crystal. I'm a big believer in indulging yourself once in a while when you can comfortably do so - I think we're only here for a short amount of time, and what's the point of work if we don't use the funds to have a little fun? I wanted to book a massage for myself for my birthday, and I heard Tula Spa was one of the best day spas in the cities. Booking an appointment online was a must, and it's a must to do it as early as you can since slots fill up fast. I booked with Sara, who was phenomenal. Right as I arrived, she was so calm (in contrast to my chaotic ass) and left me to get ready in the room. During the massage, she checked in if the pressure was good for my comfort level and needs, and also checked if I had any areas of focus or to avoid, and if essential oils were okay. Because the welcome massage comes with an optional add on, I decided to try the cleansing back balm, but they do have a disclaimer that any add on will be part of the total treatment time. The balm was kind of amazing - it left me with a tingly renewed feeling that well...made me feel cleansed! Overall it was a fantastic experience. I absolutely zonked out during my massage, and by the end of it, I was completely gone but super relaxed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves! read more

I booked a facial at Tula after hearing good things. While I can appreciate the holistic approach, it was not what I expected. I was looking for something that would help my skin condition, help extract milia, leave my skin glowing. The spa promised a facial tailored to my skin but instead it took about 2 seconds for her to look at my skin and just say, let's do a blue light instead of red. Okay? Lots of "fluff" to make it a 60 minute facial. Arm and lotion rub, scalp rub (fine, nothing great). An exfoliant "to draw out impurities" (I've used several exfoliants at home that are high end, so I was expecting something more) and the pre mentioned blue lights. Plus some sunscreen and rose quartz rub at the end. All things I could have done at home. Just really not impressed, especially for the price. My skin didn't look better after the fact, either. read more

I'm gonna confess something: I'm a bit of a massage junkie. Or more accurately, I would ABSOLUTELY be a massage junkie if I could afford that lifestyle. I'm talking a full hour massage a day. That's the dream. So it's safe to say: I've had my fair share of massages and tried multiple therapists in multiple cities. Tula Spa is a bit of a unicorn in the spa/massage world. They have the vibe of an upscale spa, but with serious therapists you'd more likely find in a medical/physical therapy environment. I've gotten two prenatal massages from different therapists here and both were not only incredibly relaxing, they truly helped improve my aches and pains. As a soon-to-be mama, this is a HUGE deal. Everything frigging hurts. Beyond the quality of the massage, the environment is very relaxing. I love the scents they use for aromatherapy and the mellow, lush atmosphere. Outside of massages, I've also gotten a facial here which was truly fantastic, one of the best I've ever received. My technician was clearly very experienced and there was virtually no pain. I really appreciate they don't do extractions at Tula. I left with glowing skin! Will absolutely be returning soon, possibly for just one more prenatal massage before my little one arrives! read more

This business is located in a very cute and safe neighborhood with lots of street parking. It's not your modern spacious spa place but a cozy little place so if you are expecting a spa spacious experience this doesn't hit that note. I had a complimentary express massage from winning a drawing contest. Liz was a good massage therapist. It was OK, the massage was not as deep as I would like. She had gentle hands so it was more relaxing than healing experience. She did keep working on my kinks around my upper shoulders though. I had my first facial at Tula and it was A-MAZING! I was so excited for this appointment and it met all my expectations. I was also able to schedule a Yoni with my facial via email... get there about 10-15 minutes early to complete your intake forms, they don't take long but it's nice to also browse their products. For the Yoni intake you get to select your own herbal blend. There is a seating area but it's not right next to the entrance when you first enter the salon, it's just a little past the entrance... made that mistake and sat in the photographer's office area. You can take off your shoes and slip on some slippers which is nice, wish I was told that, learned a lot my first time. The staff offered me water and tea before and after my facial and Yoni. Natalie was my esthetician and was so sweet, friendly, and positive. Natalie was really professional and knowledgeable about skincare, and provided me some helpful tips for my skin. Natalie really explained what causes acne in certain areas of the face which was fascinating to me. Natalie offered some great Tula products but also local products I could use and purchase at Target which was financially helpful. The skin consultation was helpful. I really like their 10-step facial protocol which feels very top notch and was bougie enough for me. I appreciated the complimentary add on for new clients, it really creates a warm welcome. I'm also into pimple popping and the extractions were just absolutely great! You're also greeted with many warm towels after a couple of the steps in the facial. You get a nice scalp, face, upper back, arm, and hand massage which was soo relaxing. I did my facial first and then my Yoni. It was actually all in the same room which was nice. You do undress waist up for the facial and then fully for the Yoni. The Yoni doesn't burn, it's just the warm steam. I'd recommend coming in feeling fresh before the Yoni as there isn't a quick shower you'd take. The lighting was perfect, even though your eyes are closed throughout the facial, there is some warm lighting with the natural Himalayan pink salt lamp, candles, and a floor lamp. During the Yoni, you can turn the floor lamp off which added a nice touch by making the room darker so you can focus on your breathing. During your facial and Yoni, there is calming music playing. You do have to pay for you Yoni in advance just cause there is a lot of preparation that goes into it. I think I paid good prices for the service I received. I paid $100 for my 60 minute facial and $45 for my 20 minute Yoni. I know it's a lot but the professionalism, knowledge, and experience was worth it. Check out their website for the 10-Steps. I won the Yelp elite express massage giveaway (made my whole day) and was so excited to visit Tula Spa for the first time. Located in uptown Minneapolis, Tula Spa offers the following services: massage therapy, waxing, eyes & brows, energy work & reiki, facials, and yoni steaming. You can schedule an appointment with them online with whichever specialist you prefer. I scheduled my massage for 3:30pm, but was running late due to traffic, and they happily accommodated to switching my time to 3:45 to give me more time to arrive. My massage therapist, Sara, greeted me at the door upon arrival. Once I was all settled, she walked me through the massage and asked what areas I wanted to focus on the most. I indicated my shoulders and neck and lower back, and she began the massage right away. She asked me what level of pressure I wanted, and I told her medium. She used essential oils during the massage and it was so comforting. Being that my massage was an express massage, it lasted for 30 minutes and let me tell you, that was a half an hour well spent. When she asked me how I felt afterward, I told her "I was fighting sleep the entire time." I was at ease the entire time, the warm, calming ambiance of the room made it easy to relax. Sara was wonderful. She was considerate of what my preferences were and asked questions to make sure I was being provided quality service. i booked my first appointment at tula for a facial over the weekend. i had a last minute personal schedule change due to a death in the family and they wouldnt allow me to reschedule without having to pay the fee for the service twice. once for the missed session and once for the rescheduled service, even if i booked with the same esthetician. i understand how the service industry works, but this no flex policy is incredibly rude and doesn't take guest's life into consideration. needless to say, i'll never book here again. i was looking forward to finding a new facial salon in the cities, but my search will continue. read more

I have never, ever treated myself to a facial, massage, you name it. I figured why the hell not. I am so glad I chose this spa, and SO happy with my facial care expert Daisy! She was so friendly, welcoming and warm. The vibe as soon as you step in is complete comfort, something we all deserve to feel. Her light pink/coral room looked like a dream. It was super warm, and lit just beautifully. I was kind of nervous because I had no idea what to ask for or what I needed, so she asked me a few questions about my skin and skincare routine and was super informative and kind. The whole thing felt like it lasted hours, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep though so who knows. All the care products smelled fresh, natural and no chemicals whatsoever. There was mists, and syrups, and scrubs. It was wonderful to drift away somewhere else for the hour long appointment. Daisy made it really special. I went for the first time last night and had a scalp treatment, which was lovely! The bed was warmed and they can adjust the temperature if you like. The essential oils smelled wonderful-a bit woody. Scalp massage included light little scratches and a shoulder and arm massage. It was a relaxing and wonderful treat after a long day at work! First time at Tula. Everything was perfect. Sara was great! Since I was a new client, I was able to choose two free add ons. I chose cupping & a back treatment. Sara was very calming & professional! She checked in a few times to be sure that I was completely comfortable and to make sure if I needed more or less pressure as I opted for the deep tissue massage. Tula was very relaxing & I loved the vibe and relaxing music & atmosphere! I will definitely be back ! Also Tula was very good with Covid precautions. You wait in your vehicle until they are ready for you. They take your temperature as well as provide sanitizer at the door. Also when face down, you can have your mask pulled down then when face up put your mask fully back on. Highly recommended. We talked before and after and I felt like I had plenty of time to talk about my goals and desires for the experience and throughout felt able to relax as well as ask questions when I wanted to know more. What blew me away though was when I was told I'd get a follow up email with notes on my energy session. It made me feel not only like I got my money's worth but that I was really valued and that their heart is really in their work. I visited Tula on my birthday earlier this month for a 30 minute massage. When I arrived the door was unlocked, which felt unwelcoming for a second, but the massage therapist was waiting for my arrival & came quickly to let me in. I was quickly ushered back to the room & we discussed where I'd like the massage work to focus on. The therapist mentioned a couple times that the 30 minute session would be short, so there wouldn't be time to do much. This definitely made me feel a little stressed & even silly for driving the distance I did to come for such a short spa service. The massage itself was focused & even better than average. The therapist asked me a few minutes in how the pressure felt & I asked for more. The increase in pressure was not perceivably different to me after that point in time. Of the professional massages I've had in the past, I'd rank the pressure level a 3 to 4 out of 10. Even still the service was nice on some level - I enjoyed the ambience & the relaxation of the experience. When I came out to pay (again, no one else in the building) so I had to pay the therapist directly, which felt awkward to me. I was paying with a gift card that was supposed to cover the service (according to the person who gifted it to me) but the $65 was well shy due to the Tula policy of $20 uncharge for deep tissue (which I questioned since I hadn't been briefed on that when I requested more pressure), the tax and gratuity. In the end more than $100 charge for a 30 minute service felt very overpriced to me, especially considering that I was never offered anything to drink & there was zero space or time to settle in and really relax either before or after. As someone who has been around the spa industry for most of my adult life, this is not a place I'd recommend. read more

Had the welcome facial here with Daisy and it was great! Very calming atmosphere and relaxing facial. You fill out a survey ahead of time and they review it to take into account all your skin needs. They also ask on the survey if you want to learn more about any of the products. I selected no, and it was nice not to get pressured to buy anything. I LOVED my visit! A friend and I met up to celebrate our milestone birthdays, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. As soon as I walked in, the staff welcomed me with warm positive vibes that felt genuine--not forced at all. My massage therapist, Jessica, was very pleasant, attentive and thorough. I felt like a new person after my massage, dry brush, and foot massage. In advance of our visit, I called the Spa to ask whether they would allow my friend and I to hang out in their lounge area to enjoy birthday beverages after our respective treatments. Thank you mom for the gift card so I could discover this amazing spa! Opted for the 90 min relaxation massage. As a new client I was also able to add 2 additional services for free. Although I wanted to try cupping, I went with the full body exfoliation and foot scrub. All the COVID practices are set up excellent. I waited outside and called to let the staff know I had arrived. It was just myself and the massage therapist in the building during my session. For the session I was masked while face up, and while face down had a large sheet to breathe into while unmasked. It was a little hard to breathe but overall worth if for the 90 min period of relaxation. Sarah, my masseuse, took time to explain the plan and to offer which essential oils I'd like to use. We discussed pressure and which areas to focus on. The 90 minutes flew by. I was the most relaxed I have been in a long time and it was hard to get up after the session. She checked in often and the pressure was amazing. The full body exfoliation was such a great add on as well. I really appreciated the music in the background too. I first heard about Tula on social media, someone was gushing about the cocoon massage. Basically, you get exfoliated, massaged, lathered in organic lotions, and are then wrapped in blankets and a solar blanket, and are put under a heat lamp. I'm waiting to try this out during colder weather. I went to Tula a few weeks ago and tried their new customer 90-minute massage. I can say it was pure bliss. I was able to try add ons, including some of their exfoliation services. Have you ever had a massage and thought, this can't get any better? Well, Tula blew my mind. They exfoliated my arms, legs, and feet and wrapped my legs and feet in hot towels while continuing to massage me!!! Honestly, why hasn't anyone else thought of that yet? I saw Kate and she was amazing. I've seen a ton of massage therapists and have literally tried every type of body work due to a prior whiplash injury. i recently went here and got a 90 minute massage and a facial. the experience was amazing the massage was very relaxing and i felt that everything i asked for was given and more. when booking i asked that they didn't recommend me any products and they listened to me which was really great because i feel like most spas always try to up-charge you with their products. i didn't receive a whole lot of after care instructions but i also didn't ask for them so that could've been on me as well. my massage was awesome and left me feeling like i got some of the tension out of my back and she asked if i had any problem areas and i feel like she addressed them well, and with my facial she took into account all of my concerns and helped me focus on hydrating my skin and cleansing it, i also got a bit of a face and arm massage with the facial service. all in all it was a wonderful experience and i felt really relaxed and calm afterwards which was my goal going in. read more

I came in for my first facial at this studio and Natalie welcomed me in with open arms. She asked detailed questions about my current skincare routine to know what works on my face instead of blindly going in. I love that they use a variety of clean, effective ingredients. You may be spending a little more than a facial at Massage Envy or another corporate salon, but the results are totally worth it! I left with my skin GLOWING.
