Got a pretty good Groupon for service here and decided to try. I have mixed feelings here so I'll share the good and the bad. It was also my first time trying this particular type of well was treatment so I I have nothing to compare it to. I booked a 90minute float therapy session Good: Made a last minute appointment and was able to get in so I loved that. The front desk staff was nice when welcoming me. They also have a vending machine that sells THC beverages which was nice. They encouraged me to use the bathroom which was very clean and well stocked. Then essentially explained what to expect while in the room and pretty much left me alone. That was nice. The not so good: An even better experience would have been to offer robes before going into the float room or something to get guest more relaxed before going into the tank. Or maybe a glass of cold water. I understand wanting to control water intake but it gets pretty warm in the room and you get thirsty! There was no soap available and you are required to shower before getting into the tub. I didn't realize what was in the shower was shampoo and conditioner because they weren't labeled. They give you a thing to support your head while floating but I think providing goggles or some sort of eye protection would have been epic. Maybe someone more seasoned would have know to bring something but it was my first time. So of course I got salt in my eyes. Very uncomfortable. There was also no sort of lotion for after the session I did ask about it and was told they had a shipment delayed and so they didn't have any of the things you'd expect to be standard at a spa. While I understand. It would have been a good idea to include a care note or something to give a head up. That was disappointing In summary. I didn't have a bad time or a great time. It was just okay. The float therapy itself was good but I think the business missed the mark on the pre and post care for me. read more

I searched around Yelp for a place to get cupping therapy and stumbled on this cute little place. It was easy to book an appt online and research the providers. I settled on Said for a 30-minute session. I appreciated learning about his experience and training on their website. It made me much more comfortable rather than not knowing the provider at all. He was very nice and got right to work. Since I was his last client of the day, he did a bit more work because I was such a mess. I originally booked the appt for my neck pain but it evolved into my back and hip being treated. He gave me a few Acupunture treatments to my back and hip. He also gave me a nice chiropractic adjustment to my upper back. Sweet relief! I bought a 3-pack Chinese medicine treatment package and will be using that soon. They have memberships you can purchase which range from unlimited sauna treatment to Chinese medicine treatments. if you need Chinese herbs, they can prescribe them too. The receptionist is very pleasant and helpful. Be advised that you have to remove your shoes in the hallway before entering the the center. Everyone is in slippers or socked feet. I saved $10 by checking in on Yelp so my 1st treatment was only $15 plus a tip. If you have difficulty with steps, know that they don't have an elevator. There's about 14 steps up to the clinic. Street parking is available right outside the center. read more

I love everything about NE Wellness. From the moment you walk in, you are transported to a place of serenity and calmness. They just expanded and it looks so beautiful. The community acupuncture room is very comfortable. The zero gravity chairs make it easy to relax. All the Acupunturist's are fully licensed. They take time to talk to you and truly listen, while also making sure you are cozy by covering you with blankets and giving you pillows for your arms. I have had great success in my reduction of pain with regular treatments. I have also found the Craniosacral therapy with Mallory to be a major "reset button" for my nervous system. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness, and the general peaceful atmosphere. The cupping procedure felt great, and was a quick 20 minutes. I have Degenerative Disc Disease in my L5 and Scheuermanns disease in my back. These conditions cause a lot of pain and my muscles to tighten. I've been going here for a month and have had 2 treatments of dry cupping therapy with Said. The first time I went he asked me a lot of questions about my condition and what I am looking to get out of my treatments which made me feel very comfortable and confident going into the treatment. I was very nervous at first about the cupping burning or hurting me but it didn't at all! So far it has helped a lot in loosening my muscles and I've had less pain then usual. I wholeheartedly recommend Northeast Community Acupuncture! I love this place. I have seen several practitioners at the clinic (Noah, Brian, Lucy, Sarah) and they have all been great. They all truly care about my well-being. I am receiving acupuncture for side effects of withdrawing from a medication. Every single time I go, I find relief--not to mention relaxation... and hope. Online scheduling is really convenient -- they also frequently accept walk-ins. The cost is incredible. For less than a typical doctor's office copay, you can get an amazing session of acupuncture. Look up the cost of most acupuncture and you will see how very reasonable NECA's rates are. They also offer a card with 12 visits for $160--that is only $13.33/session. Amazing! I love that they are very community-minded, have local art on the walls and participate in local events in NE Mpls. Their style of acupuncture is very, very gentle. It has never hurt. At NECA, I also had semi-permanent, tiny "ASP" needles in my ear to help continue the treatment. What they don't tell you is that these needles are fairly expensive compared to regular acupuncture needles--but they don't charge extra, or even mention this fact. I've also received "seeds" taped to an acupoint on my wrist to use as self-care: I can press the seeds to help with nausea between treatments. My husband had been to NE Wellness with amazing results for relief from a very painful shoulder. I was trying to recover from a serious case of diverticulitis and both shoulders were hurting almost constantly. One acupuncture treatment did what felt like a miracle for both shoulders. I have been getting acupuncture for about a decade. I met Noah when they first opened in 2009. I saw him once when I had a bad sinus flare up and it was the weekend and my regular place was closed. It helped as acupuncture usually does for me. This summer after injuring my foot I decided to give them another try. I needed to go twice a week for a while and their affordable $15 to $40 dollars per treatment really helped with make my treatment affordable. I brought my Mom when she was up for a few weeks and it really helped with her shoulder pain and balance issues. I go every Friday since August with my Husband. It's the new date night we get the treatments we need and then head to dinner. I buy a package of 11 get the 12th Free. Keeps me balanced. They have 4 acupuncturist and I've seen them all. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the environment is inviting and clean, and the personal sauna offers a welcome reprieve from Minnesota winters.
