Why are there not more bathhouses in the Twin Cities?! This spot has got what we neeeed in the winter! Before Watershed opened, the best we could find was Anda Spa for a bathhouse style experience before a massage. Watershed takes the massage requirement out of a spa day, and offers a great bathhouse experience. This was my second visit, and I'm happy to see they've added even more to this experience. The cycle recommended is this: - shower/scrub (they offer complimentary soap and scrub salts) - steam room (my fave - feels unreal) - soak (gorgeous soaking pool that's the perfect warm temp) - sauna (the biggest sauna I've been in) - plunge (freeeeezing cold plunge but refreshing!) I love this cozy dark underground bathhouse - you instantly feel at peace when you arrive. They have lockers and changing rooms onsite, plus water & tea cups and stations. I also love the effort they've put into their relaxation room - since I first visited, I was happy to see they added 3 heating lounge chairs, more books, blankets and more lounge chairs, and even more vibey decor and lighting. We spend 2.5 hours here, the allotted time - and it was perfect. We got through two cycles with some relaxation room time in between. I wish the cold plunge was just a *touch* warmer - I know it's meant to be cold, but it actually hurts my feet to get in haha. At the end, we did a final scrub and shower, and used their complimentary body butter and my winter skin drank it in. Introduced my husband and brother to it this visit, and it won't be our last!

This spa was so relaxing! I went by myself as a treat and I walked out feeling so rejuvenated. I did the communal bath experience and it was great! The spa was cleaned and the attendants were so helpful and always checking the area and refilling the resources. They walk you through the process prior to starting and make sure you feel comfortable. You can add on other services like facials, scrubs, and massages, too. I found this spa to be more affordable than others! I will say it does get a little crowded but other than that it was great.

The bathing ritual experience was wonderful. The spa is dimly lit and relaxing. I appreciated the lotion, shampoos, and tea they provided. I also enjoy the relaxation area where you can hang and read one of many self help books they have. The sauna, soaking area, and steam room are clean and inviting. It never feels too crowded and the staff are friendly. I also like the store they have featuring many self care products . I do miss the individual cold plunge tins- please bring those back. I didn't like the communal cold plunge area. Too hard to get into "the zone" in a shared plunge area. They have a very small parking lot, but the good news is there is plenty of metered street parking for .50cents per hour. I will be back!

This is my fifth time at the Watershed Spa and I will never get tired of it! If you're looking for a tranquil, rejuvenating, and refreshing experience you have arrived! Today was the first time I've gotten a massage and Marne was magical. Her pressure was spot on, she created a relaxed vibe, and I felt so zen afterwards. The bathhouse experience is well worth it and I think everyone should try it! I love having the options of choosing between the steam room, sauna, community hot tub, and the cold plunge. There is also a meditation room if you need some wind down time. Watershed Spa will stay in my wellness routine and I highly recommend!

What a wonderful hidden-gem of a spa! I cam here since I received a gift card for a service, and I was in desperate need of a massage. There's plenty of parking during a week day on the street, it was easy to grab a meter and not too expensive. I could live in this place if I was allowed to! It truly feels like you're transported to a tropical paradise and fully relaxed. When I was checked in I was offered water or tea, and then could sit a bit in the waiting area. There's some merchandise around that you can take a look at if you wish. I received a massage from Stephanie, and was brought into a small room to change and consult. She asked if I had a specific spot I wanted to focus on and I said my low back. I was incredibly relaxed this whole massage, and it was definitely a big level up from something like a Hand and Stone chain massage. Stephanie even went above and beyond and (with permission) used her feed and bodyweight to get extra deep into my back! My only watch-out is if you have a sensitive neck, as them to skip that portion. My neck got a little sore from the intensity, but I forgot to mention it at the beginning. After my massage I was encouraged to hang around, have some water or tea and pull a tarot card - which is just my style! I took some time and saw that they sold great merchandise too. I will definitely be back to try the bath experience!

The session was relaxing and helped reduce muscle tension. The only small inconvenience was the slightly cool air in the room.

I'm not sure why this location asked, because they didn't seem to follow anything I wrote. This was for my boyfriend's birthday and his name was not on the sign when we walked in, despite me listing that in the paperwork. In the past for my birthday, I have also gotten a card. But nothing here. My boyfriend also didn't want his feet touched and that was also listed in the paperwork. Unfortunately that was not followed. We were brought to our locker rooms and they were clean, had our names and chocolates in the lockers. Very nice touch! Our robe sizes and slides were also in our lockers. There is a large shower, 2 bathroom stalls and vanity with make up lighting. We then walked to the lobby area. This was where we started to have thoughts. Employees were talking in full volume. Not very relaxing. They also kept coming in and out of the room, talking, stocking snacks constantly! Again not very relaxing. The water was nice with a lemon. My boyfriend went to get water for hot tea but the water was room temp. Not very comforting. The massages were nice. I had Ingrid and she was lovely! She did a great job and was soft in speaking during the massage. My boyfriend said his massage therapist was talking at normal volume and didn't find it as relaxing. Afterwards we said in the lobby area again. In my opinion, the fireplace at maple grove is more welcoming and comforting. This place had what looked like a diffuser and eventually it turned off and started beeping. Again not relaxing. The lobby area is also larger at the maple grove location. This location left me a bit perplexed as to why the reviews are better here than at the maple grove location....

I've always wanted to get a facial but was always deterred by the cost, the Sculpt facial plus the lip treatment I did was a whopping $79, paired with the quality of the experience, highly recommend! My esthetician Hannah O was super sweet and did a great job with the consultation and was just really friendly overall. After the consultation we didn't speak much which allowed me to take a little cat nap during my facial :)! Sculpt is described using Hungarian massage and facial cupping to lift, tighten, and tone the face. After it was over I left feeling refreshed and extremely relaxed. They have an option to do a $79 monthly membership for facials, which seems like a good investment as they have a handful of facial options doing different things. Only complaint: They did not have men's sized spa headbands so the products were getting in my hair and behind my ears, which was slightly off putting, so I'm hoping Face Foundrié will get ones that fit multiple head sizes. I didn't notice an elevator, but perhaps I just missed it. Once on that level they have several doors, but you enter the one with the opened door and the little sign out front. Arrival - I arrived early, just in case there were intake forms or I needed to change beforehand. However, they don't have a changing room or lockers. Instead, you change in your service room, with your items remaining there. Service - I booked a 1hr Deep Tissue Massage with Elsa, which was GREAT! The service started with burning something that smelled like Paolo Santo. The areas of pain welcomed the deep pressure, for other areas of my body it was too much. So I told her and she adjusted accordingly. There was music playing, which was a bit loud. However, it was soothing, with no odd pitches or tones so I didn't mind. What I did mind was the distractions from outside the room. Sadly, it was right by the entrance door (for that space) and the walls in the room don't go all the way up. Therefore, sounds of the heavy door opening and closing, people talking, squeaky floors as they walked by filled the air as I tried to immerse into the experience. During the service she did use some warm towels on me, and ended with the paolo santo (or perhaps it was sage) again. Departing- My massage therapist told me to meet her outside after I changed. I thought she meant outside of the service room so hung out in that lounge for a while, before deciding to go look for her, in the main lobby area. That's where I found and she checked me out. This made me wonder if there's a designated front desk/ guest service staff member. Anyway, while checking me out she also gave me a cup of water, her card, a promo card, Biscoff cookies and a mint. There were retail products there as well as in the previous room, but I didn't get a chance to really look before heading out. Anyway, based on my experience with Elsa, I would recommend and return.

It was also my first time trying this particular type of well was treatment so I I have nothing to compare it to. I booked a 90minute float therapy session Good: Made a last minute appointment and was able to get in so I loved that. The front desk staff was nice when welcoming me. They also have a vending machine that sells THC beverages which was nice. They encouraged me to use the bathroom which was very clean and well stocked. Then essentially explained what to expect while in the room and pretty much left me alone. That was nice. The not so good: An even better experience would have been to offer robes before going into the float room or something to get guest more relaxed before going into the tank. Or maybe a glass of cold water. I understand wanting to control water intake but it gets pretty warm in the room and you get thirsty! There was no soap available and you are required to shower before getting into the tub. I didn't realize what was in the shower was shampoo and conditioner because they weren't labeled. They give you a thing to support your head while floating but I think providing goggles or some sort of eye protection would have been epic. Maybe someone more seasoned would have know to bring something but it was my first time. So of course I got salt in my eyes. Very uncomfortable. There was also no sort of lotion for after the session I did ask about it and was told they had a shipment delayed and so they didn't have any of the things you'd expect to be standard at a spa. While I understand. It would have been a good idea to include a care note or something to give a head up. That was disappointing In summary. I didn't have a bad time or a great time. It was just okay. The float therapy itself was good but I think the business missed the mark on the pre and post care for me.

Now if the valet will be available is a whole other story. It took a considerable amount of time to drop off my car and I had asked three different employees about getting change for tipping and this proved more difficult than expected. I was greeted by Laura - who truly was the bright spot in this whole experience. She was on top of it and so friendly. She got me a locker and got me set up. I was eager to come here because they boasted a steam room, sauna, rainforest shower, and hot tub. Lukewarm would be a great way to describe this experience. The steam room just didn't get as steamy or warm as I would like, I had to turn on the sauna myself and wait for it to warm up (energy efficiency maybe) and the hot tub had water features that were spitting out ice cold water - cooling down the whole hot tub. I didn't venture to the rainforest shower because I couldn't bear to be any colder! I did love the tiled heated chairs in this lounge though! Normally these features would be my favorite and I could spend all day rotating but Anda spa caps you at an hour. There are a few lounges that you can check out. The one lounge has a few snacks, unlabeled tea, and fruit infused water. As some one with allergies - the mystery of it all wasn't great. The other lounge had weighted blankets. I was told to wait in either lounge for my technician. My technician was around 10 minutes late to my appointment without any notice. I had to walk out to the front to flag a staff member down to make sure I understood the instructions correctly. This definitely detracted from the relaxed vibe. The facial was in a brighter room than I'm used to and obviously you're downtown so it can be a bit noisy. The facial itself was good and the technician had strong hands though I wish I would've researched more about the products. My skin has felt dried out since and it's just not the best experience I've had. I'm going to check out some other spa options before I return here. Again - Laura was phenomenal and the space is clean and modern - I just didn't have the experience that I would've liked for the price.
