Why are there not more bathhouses in the Twin Cities?! This spot has got what we neeeed in the winter! Before Watershed opened, the best we could find was Anda Spa for a bathhouse style experience before a massage. Watershed takes the massage requirement out of a spa day, and offers a great bathhouse experience. This was my second visit, and I'm happy to see they've added even more to this experience. The cycle recommended is this: - shower/scrub (they offer complimentary soap and scrub salts) - steam room (my fave - feels unreal) - soak (gorgeous soaking pool that's the perfect warm temp) - sauna (the biggest sauna I've been in) - plunge (freeeeezing cold plunge but refreshing!) I love this cozy dark underground bathhouse - you instantly feel at peace when you arrive. They have lockers and changing rooms onsite, plus water & tea cups and stations. I also love the effort they've put into their relaxation room - since I first visited, I was happy to see they added 3 heating lounge chairs, more books, blankets and more lounge chairs, and even more vibey decor and lighting. We spend 2.5 hours here, the allotted time - and it was perfect. We got through two cycles with some relaxation room time in between. I wish the cold plunge was just a *touch* warmer - I know it's meant to be cold, but it actually hurts my feet to get in haha. At the end, we did a final scrub and shower, and used their complimentary body butter and my winter skin drank it in. Introduced my husband and brother to it this visit, and it won't be our last!

This spa was so relaxing! I went by myself as a treat and I walked out feeling so rejuvenated. I did the communal bath experience and it was great! The spa was cleaned and the attendants were so helpful and always checking the area and refilling the resources. They walk you through the process prior to starting and make sure you feel comfortable. You can add on other services like facials, scrubs, and massages, too. I found this spa to be more affordable than others! I will say it does get a little crowded but other than that it was great.

The bathing ritual experience was wonderful. The spa is dimly lit and relaxing. I appreciated the lotion, shampoos, and tea they provided. I also enjoy the relaxation area where you can hang and read one of many self help books they have. The sauna, soaking area, and steam room are clean and inviting. It never feels too crowded and the staff are friendly. I also like the store they have featuring many self care products . I do miss the individual cold plunge tins- please bring those back. I didn't like the communal cold plunge area. Too hard to get into "the zone" in a shared plunge area. They have a very small parking lot, but the good news is there is plenty of metered street parking for .50cents per hour. I will be back!

This is my fifth time at the Watershed Spa and I will never get tired of it! If you're looking for a tranquil, rejuvenating, and refreshing experience you have arrived! Today was the first time I've gotten a massage and Marne was magical. Her pressure was spot on, she created a relaxed vibe, and I felt so zen afterwards. The bathhouse experience is well worth it and I think everyone should try it! I love having the options of choosing between the steam room, sauna, community hot tub, and the cold plunge. There is also a meditation room if you need some wind down time. Watershed Spa will stay in my wellness routine and I highly recommend!

What a wonderful hidden-gem of a spa! I cam here since I received a gift card for a service, and I was in desperate need of a massage. There's plenty of parking during a week day on the street, it was easy to grab a meter and not too expensive. I could live in this place if I was allowed to! It truly feels like you're transported to a tropical paradise and fully relaxed. When I was checked in I was offered water or tea, and then could sit a bit in the waiting area. There's some merchandise around that you can take a look at if you wish. I received a massage from Stephanie, and was brought into a small room to change and consult. She asked if I had a specific spot I wanted to focus on and I said my low back. I was incredibly relaxed this whole massage, and it was definitely a big level up from something like a Hand and Stone chain massage. Stephanie even went above and beyond and (with permission) used her feed and bodyweight to get extra deep into my back! My only watch-out is if you have a sensitive neck, as them to skip that portion. My neck got a little sore from the intensity, but I forgot to mention it at the beginning. After my massage I was encouraged to hang around, have some water or tea and pull a tarot card - which is just my style! I took some time and saw that they sold great merchandise too. I will definitely be back to try the bath experience!

The session was relaxing and helped reduce muscle tension. The only small inconvenience was the slightly cool air in the room.

It was also my first time trying this particular type of well was treatment so I I have nothing to compare it to. I booked a 90minute float therapy session Good: Made a last minute appointment and was able to get in so I loved that. The front desk staff was nice when welcoming me. They also have a vending machine that sells THC beverages which was nice. They encouraged me to use the bathroom which was very clean and well stocked. Then essentially explained what to expect while in the room and pretty much left me alone. That was nice. The not so good: An even better experience would have been to offer robes before going into the float room or something to get guest more relaxed before going into the tank. Or maybe a glass of cold water. I understand wanting to control water intake but it gets pretty warm in the room and you get thirsty! There was no soap available and you are required to shower before getting into the tub. I didn't realize what was in the shower was shampoo and conditioner because they weren't labeled. They give you a thing to support your head while floating but I think providing goggles or some sort of eye protection would have been epic. Maybe someone more seasoned would have know to bring something but it was my first time. So of course I got salt in my eyes. Very uncomfortable. There was also no sort of lotion for after the session I did ask about it and was told they had a shipment delayed and so they didn't have any of the things you'd expect to be standard at a spa. While I understand. It would have been a good idea to include a care note or something to give a head up. That was disappointing In summary. I didn't have a bad time or a great time. It was just okay. The float therapy itself was good but I think the business missed the mark on the pre and post care for me.

I highly recommend Savannah. The negatives: Loud very loud "spa" music blasting throughout the place. There are signs that read "use spa voices" - meaning quiet tone. The staff speak quiety and ask others to use a quiet voice. This is very courteous. However, the blasting music makes it impossible to hear what they are saying. Or to relax. The individual treatment rooms have walls but no ceiling. The overpowering music is meant to muffle the sound of voices and activities on the other side of the partitions. However, I found it impossible to block the loud music from my mind and challenging to relax because of it. This was the major downside to this place. I was kept waiting 30 mins past my appointment time. This meant that the second service (facial) started and ended 30-40 mins later than planned. The facial was average. The aesthetician was very personable. Overall, the environment and services were average but were priced for an outstanding experience.

I was in dire pain and was desperate to find something nearby and available. I've gone to multiple other spas/massage studios with either difficulty in short notice booking, or somewhat of a disappointed feeling. Once I called, Nena was able to get me in within an hour. God Bless her. I was practically immobile by the time I got to her studio. I pulled by upper back out and needed help with the tension/pain ASAP. Not only was Nena very accommodating with getting me in on short notice, but she truly took care of my 'injury' and didn't let time affect the massage. I had no idea how long I was there, I believe over 1 1/2 ....and by the time I left, I was able to walk without pain and far more relaxed then when I 'shuffled' in. Studio Thr3e is so cozy, inviting and relaxing. The design and all the collectibles work perfectly for the space. Not only is she running her own business, but she's trying to help those who need massage therapy and can't afford the traditional spa high-end prices. I truly respect her business model. The studio is located in the Foundry building behind the barber shop right in the heart of NE next to the Ritz Theater...great location, and convenient with no meters on the street! I made it a promise to myself in 2012 to continue with massage therapy and will ONLY go to Studio Thr3e from now on.

I don't often treat myself to massages, but hope to more often now that I've found Studio Thr3e and Nena. I visited here on one of out recent brutally cold winter days, and the moment I stepped inside, I felt more relaxed. The space is warm and cozy, with lots of velvety drapes and dark furniture. Nena mentioned a lot of folks will do a group outing, and people are welcome to hang out in the space with drinks and food while they're waiting for their turn. There's a courtyard and outdoor area too for warmer weather. My 75 minute massage was very relaxing. She made sure to check if the pressure was right, focused on the tense areas of my body, and avoided areas that I didn't want to be worked on. I was on time for my appointment, but what with filling out paperwork since it was my first visit, we started a little late. Nena mentioned this to me and asked if it was all right if she kept me longer, so I could have the full 75 minutes. This was awesome, since I've been to other places where I haven't received the full time (even if it was a late start due to the massage therapist's schedule). Other things I appreciated - she asked how to pronounce my name (the one I go by is hard to pronounce, and many people don't even bother to ask) and made sure she got it right. The playlist was a lot of peaceful Sigur Ros tracks, which was lovely. Last of all, notice the attention to detail here, from the little bowl of mints in the waiting area to the cute dark glass goblets that perfectly match the decor of the place. Cannot wait to return!
